Her son is an adorable little moppet. I am not as into Disney as they are but I enjoy seeing their adventures.

I like a lot of things about her and the way she scraps, but mostly I like that she has a "use what you've got and make it work" kind of philosophy. Most of her Disney pages aren't made with special trademark Disney papers and embellishments. Her way of scrapbooking is accessible to most of us.

I've watched a few of her videos - GG and her, and yes I do like her pages and ideas.
However, I don't like 'her' range of products - I have purchased a few, and hardly use them - in fact, I was thinking last weekend while scrapping, I may just pass her paper pad on to someone else who will want and USE it.

I do like her products, especially the last two lines. I scrapbook boys and the last two lines have lots of things I can use. They are kind of geared young, however. I can see how someone who scraps more adult things would have problems using them.

Tee Hee... I jumped on here to see a new collection called "Wonder Boy" by Shimelle! Thinking, now THAT would be an awesome bunch of papers! So disappointed ... I don't keep up with any of the celebrities on fb or IG or anywhere else....

I do agree! I saw your post yesterday, and just spent the last half hour looking thru their disneybound outfits on Shimelle's Instagram feed. I am in awe of their creativity, and am also envious of the amount of JOY they take in doing it. I don't enjoy any of my hobbies quite that much.
(and- I don't personally have much use for the bright colors and themes of her scrapbook collections, but looking at her Instagram feed, her collections now make perfect sense.)

I agree with all the above comments! I wish she would use some alternative products however. While I enjoy some of her products, I get tired of them, they aren't the most versatile in my eyes. I would love to see her using other lines like she used to when glitter girl on 2peas.

My favorite Wonder Boy story: His pre-school class had to dress up as fairy tale characters. He chose Prince Charming-(or what ever the prince is from Cinderella). Shimelle of course made his outfit and used one of his little red shoes and sewed onto a pillow. As they got on the bus, he went up to all the women sitting in the bus and asked them if they had lost their slipper!! If I had been one of those ladies, that encounter would have made my week. I can't remember if I hear this on one of her many free videos or one of her class videos.
I would have loved to have been that kind of creative, always doing something interesting kind of mom. Alas, I was not.
Also, as someone who covets a grandchild, watching Wonder Boy sing or scrap and hearing his little British accent just warms my heart.

I can see how she might be off putting to some (whether because of the Disney, always scrapping her kiddo, or all the bright colors and random icons) but I really appreciate a few things about her. She is true to herself - she scraps the pages that reflect her life and loves, because they’re going into her personal albums and she says she never makes pages that she wouldn’t want in her albums. She recognizes that she’s not for everyone (she mentioned that her husband is one of the people who finds her voice grating!! Omg and they’re quarantine working in one room. That must be fun!). And she usually reminds people of the design principles of what she’s doing.
I’m a fan, but a lot of that is personality based - there are other teachers who do just as well but I just don’t like them for one reason or another.

She has great videos and ideas, but I would love it if she would pick other places of travel. I am also not a fan of the pink and purples she uses, but that is just me.

I'm not a huge Disney fan, or a fan of the huge cut file words, but I love Shimelle herself, and her style and appreciate all the content she puts out there. And Wonder Boy is adorable! I love his accent! She's from around my area which also makes her a soft spot for me lol grammadee I agree! She totally needs a Wonder Boy line! I bet it would be awesome!

She is a genuinely lovely, radiant and positive person amongst all the fakery on Instagram.
Her scrapping style is not for me but she is a true scrapbooker and that cannot be said about everyone who has a line with American Crafts.

This is how I feel about all their activities...they are living their best life. Disney bounding is not for me at all but they clearly love every second of it and I like how creative they are with choosing characters and outfits. I am 50/50 on her paper collections. They really seem to correlate with her/WB's life at the moment and that's fine. Probably no different than most other designers. I do think her layout design holds up for different themes and products and that she explains her decisions well.I used to watch her GG videos and I can still see her influence in some of my pages.

I love following her and wonderboy! I have some of her paper lines, embellishments, etc. I love the bright colors.
She seems so down to earth and real. Her lives on Facebook are great and it's interesting seeing which direction she takes and why.

Scrapbook.com has a Shimelle 3-part class, and I just fell in love with her all over again. She is great at explaining her process even if her scrapstyle does not match yours.

I get a kick out of how savvy WB is getting about the video process. He has been doing his own quarantine craft segment (so he'll stay out of her hair when she'd trying to make pages) and he makes me laugh so much "so, when you do this at home, don't do it really fast like I did. I just did it like this to show you" kind of comments... He's getting pretty good at explaining how to do things and although sometimes I just wish he'd go off and do his own thing (because man, 6 year olds never stop talking!) I think they're doing really well considering how little space they have for the 3 of them.
Did you guys see her IG Stories photo of the living space they're sharing? I screenshot it for my quarantine journal so I can share it here if anyone missed it (and cares). I would go absolutely crazy if I had to be in that space with my partner and kid every day, and had to work and chat with the internet as part of that. I'd crawl into a blanket fort and hide.

We have a five bedroom house and two of us. It is the perfect amount of room with three levels. We haven't had a squabble or a tiff yet. I know people that love RV life, but I don't think I could do that.

I'm catching up on this thread... I find it really interesting that Shimelle's husband finds her voice grating! I can't imagine being married to someone with a voice I find grating - that is LOVE.
I'm also not a fan of kids but I admit I find Wonder Boy endearing, he's pretty silly and I don't mind when he pops into the videos. I think it's great that he's so into crafting and is developing his own style. Shimelle is so sweet and down to earth, and she's such a great teacher as well. I usually miss her lives because they're so early here with the time difference, but I hope she brings Glitter Girl back! I feel like we haven't seen her in a while.

I totally agree. I don't watch to copy her pages. I watch because I want to support her and it feels like hanging out with a friend. Having my own 5yo boy doesn't hurt since her lines often work well for me
