What did you think? I haven't read the book so can't compare but really enjoyed the series and sad that I won't have it to watch.

I haven't finished the series, but did read the book and think it is an excellent version so far.

I did. We really enjoyed it. I had read the book but I couldn't remember who set the little fires, so I was in suspense until the last episode.

I finished watching, really liked it. Man I disliked Reese and Kerry’s characters!

Loved the series. Didn't read the book, but read an article this morning that said it ended differently than the book.

I finished it. I thought it was excellent.
I also like that Reese Witherspoon isn't afraid to produce content with complicated, difficult and at times unlikeable female characters and to play them herself.

DH and I both enjoyed the series until the last 10 minutes or so. It led to some interesting discussions.
I am waiting for the book to arrive in the mail. I can't wait to read it.

I read the book and watched the series - it’s weird though because I totally didn’t remember the ending from the book.
Also strongly dislike Elena and Mia - but thought they did a great job. Really like the consistent mother child theme through the series

I enjoyed the series but the ending left me with more questions than answers.
Elena & Mia were acted well but I sure didn’t like them very much.

I read the book and decided to pass on the series. Too many unlikable characters to want to watch it acted out as well. I also felt like the author tried to lead the reader along as too which character "held the moral ground." None of them did. They were all flawed in their own way.

Yes, I agree with all of the points made. Disliked Elena and Mia but thought they did an excellent job playing the characters. And I kind of felt like I was left with a lot of questions and wished more was shown to tie it up at the end. I know it made me think deeply but gosh I'd like to know how the kids all turn out down the road...especially Izzy.

It was so well acted! I haven’t disliked a Reese character since Election! I’ve also not watched a movie before reading the book, but quarantine limited my choices. I plan on reading the book sometime soon.

I loved this series. I didn't dislike Mia (Kerry's character) as much as I did Elena (Reese's character). Reese really showed her acting powers in making me hate her character as much as I did. What I've seen her in the past I remember her playing nice characters but here she could be a outright bitch. I thought the series was well written and very well acted. I haven't read the book yet so I can't compare.
I enjoyed this series very much and anticipated each day when the next episode was going to come on.
Woops-totally forgot about Election. Yep, you are right Breakfastattiffanys Reese played a hateful character in that one too.

I want to read the book.
I loved the series. I did not dislike Mia. But Reese played the heck out of an evil character. She was so good!

I read the book and the series and enough time had passed that I didn’t knick pick the differences. One of my favorite things about the series was seeing the artwork, I had a hard time picturing it in the book. I’m okay with the way they changed the ending, I felt like it was a way to surprise the book reader without it being a complete departure from the book. I will also say that I hope that they do not add a second season- I’ve read that there are no plans (but that was also the case for Big Little Lies) and I think it’s fine to say it’s complete and move on to producing another book.

I have read the book, sadly I don’t remember all that much about it. I remember liking it when I read it, but it didn’t stick in my brain.
I don’t have Hulu. I would like to see the series.

I’m okay with the way they changed the ending Generally, how is it different? Did they change who set the fires? I haven't read the book but I really liked the series. In these times where days blend together, I would get really excited when I realized it was Wednesday and I could watch a new episode.

I just remembered being bummed that I didn't like it after so many people really enjoyed it.

Lexie catches Izzy and stops her. All the kids are screaming, Elena comes in and blows up at Izzy. Lots more screaming between everyone and Elena. Izzy runs away and the other three kids all light their beds on fire.

I intensely disliked how much they changed the ending. The ending of the series just didn’t make sense to me the way the book did.

Oh my gosh!!! I LOVED this series!!! Literally loved it! I finally finished the last episode today. My mouth dropped open when Elena told Izzy she never wanted her. I started crying. It was such a good series. As much as I would LOVE to see more of this show, I think it would take away from this miniseries. I want to find another similar show since this one was so awesome! The actors were amazing and so so good!

What was wrong with what the author wrote? I didn't even like the book that much and this bothers me.

The actors were amazing and so so good! There's another show starting on HULU based on the book Normal People. Quite honestly the book was kind of meh (though it was on a lot of literary lists), but the trailer looks good, so I may give it a couple episodes.
