It's all the rage and has instant coffee out of stock here. Thanks TikTok! I had some so I decided to give it a shot before I gave it to my neighbor and I'm giving her half.
Its SO good and frothy, I'll be saving money at starbucks!
Have you tried it? What did you think?
Here is what I did...
4tbsp instant coffee 4tbsp hot water 4tbsp sugar
Whip until stiff peaks form.
I did hot coffees so you can either use cold milk over ice or warm milk. I used warm milk with lavender coffee syrup (my fav) and then scooped some of the foam on top and stirred.
Its creamy and tasty and easy and a good "starbucks fix" without leaving home or spending 5 bucks a cup.
Here is what I did

I thought it was super gross. I’d need about 10x more sugar before I could compare it to Starbucks. I don’t like milk, so I don’t know what to put it over.
I didn’t like the mix of texture with the frothy coffee over liquid.

It's on my list to try but I thought the recipe called for heavy cream, which I don't have on hand. Thanks for posting this! Did you see the one that uses strawberry Nesquik?

(Or homemade) For an event that I was in charge of linking foods/beverages with local growers wares for a local market , I did lavendar syrup in lemonade for the florist. I put 1-2 Oz of lavendar syrup in the bottom of clear plastic cups, and added yellow lemonade 3/4 of the way up and then put them in the flower cooler. When someone bought one, I’d fill the cup with ice, pop on a lid, stick a straw in and tell the buyer to blow bubbles (that mixed the syrup into the lemonade because it’s heavier than the lemonade it sinks to the bottom) It’s such a pretty color too! I also like lavendar lattes and hot chocolate.

Not whipped but I tried a yummy one yesterday from somewhere on IG-- about 1 1/2 cups of strong brewed coffee, 1/4 cup of cashews (I soaked unsalted ones for a little bit) and 1 Tbsp of sweetener like maple syrup or honey and a pinch of salt. Mix it in the blender. I thought it was delicious!

I love it! I spoon it over milk with a tablespoon of vanilla creamer added. So good! Also, sometimes I use decaf for an afternoon or evening drink.

Also, I use my kitchenaid and it really is not that great of an effort. I use 2T of each: water, sugar and instant coffee. It doesn’t look like enough to whip, but it makes a lot of cloud! Enough for at least two drinks.

I’ve never heard of it. Sounds interesting?
Slight hi-Jack: what in the world does lavender even taste like? The lemonade sounds lovely but I’m curious about the taste.

I'm one of the strange creatures that does not like coffee (well, I confess to liking coffee ice cream). I am a retired teacher and I was always the only adult in the building that didn't drink the stuff. I didn't have to contribute to the coffee fund tho!

I didn’t like the mix of texture with the frothy coffee over liquid. I used the coffee syrups in the milk. I don't like milk at all, it's filmy and rank. What kind of milk do you usually get if you go to starbucks? I use coconut milk with lavender simple syrup so the milk is sweetened and I stirred the foamy crap into the milk pretty good. It all tasted like coffee but it tasted like more of a foamed latte on the top. It's on my list to try but I thought the recipe called for heavy cream, which I don't have on hand. Thanks for posting this! Did you see the one that uses strawberry Nesquik? I appreciate your post SO much. I actually sent DH out to the dollar general to get heavy cream and then pulled up the recipe and was like WHAT?!? No heavy cream needed. I think we saw the same recipe and they must have been using heavy cream in the bottom, maybe a keto version? (would that be keto? if you altered the sugar? I don't know. I'm on a no-carb left behind diet. Nesquik would be interesting. Too sweet for me but my son would LOVE it. The kids next door too. BTW - What brand of Lavender syrup do you use? I love lavender anything. Monin. I always peek at coffee shops and it's what most of them use. I love it too, it's turned into a thing that people remember me for. Our wedding cake was lavender almond and our flower girls surprised us by setting up a lemonade stand with lavender lemonade. I found a lavender cookbook a few years ago at the airport in New Mexico, I'm working my way through it. I can never get it to whip fluffy!!! I really had doubts, I put it on high and let it go and it eventually started to whip. I have a recipe that is super similar, it uses dates as the sweetener. It's really good! I’ve never heard of it. Sounds interesting? Slight hi-Jack: what in the world does lavender even taste like? The lemonade sounds lovely but I’m curious about the taste. Lavender reminds me of cilantro in that you either love it and think it tastes like happiness, or you think it tastes like licking the bar of soap in your great aunts bathroom. For me it's light and delicate, soft and sweet, but not heavy. It's lovely.

Yes and it was so good! Problem was, I made it 3 days in a row and the last two days I had insomnia and heartburn, so I skipped it today. I think I can have it after lunch, but no later after that and certainly, not every day.

Yes! My daughter made me one recently, in a little coffee shot glass. I had no idea what it was, it was whipped so well that I thought it was a very strong coffee ice cream on top, but it was warm.... I was so confused! Did you see the one that uses strawberry Nesquik? Ooohhh I’ll have to look for that one, we have banana Nesquick here! I am sooooo jealous!! I haven't been able to get banana Nesquik here for years. They've stopped making it apparently (in Australia anyway). I still check the shelves every single time I go shopping, just in case.....
