Our street cleaning is the first & third Thursday of the month. It is well signed through out the city that for a 4 hour window you can't park on the street and heavily enforced with a hefty fine. A different zone of the city is covered each day. Neighbors will call, text and knock on your door if they see a car out on that day and offer their driveway for any extra cars. Two weeks ago, on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, DD woke hearing the street cleaner going up the street and was able to move her car before he came down our side. Many cars were on the street and the ticket car that travels with the street cleaner was nowhere to be seen (and there is no way they could enforce a ticket for the wrong day so I wasn't too worried). There was no cleaning on our regular third Thursday. This morning, the 4th Tuesday of the month, guess who came by. I can understand someone making a one off mistake but twice in a row?? Maybe I should check Nextdoor to see if this is being discussed.

They probably are really off on schedules due to reduced staff. That is probably why they don't have the ticket car with the street cleaner as they know they are off schedule and wouldn't be issuing tickets because of it. I'd call the city and not rely on Nextdoor.

in San Francisco, they are doing street cleaning but are not writing tickets for it. so sometimes we move the cars (have 3) and sometimes don't. no $80 tickets..!!!

They clean the streets? Huh. Out here, they drive along the curb cleaning up debris and stuff that pile up alongside the curb. That is why you need to move your car. It is to keep stuff from going down the storm drains.

I’m surprised they are still doing street cleaning. They completely stopped that here. I wasn’t completely sure because I saw different reports. Called 311 who confirmed that it was temporarily stopped.

it is seen as essential cleaning.. it used to be every week, now every other week.. downtown and busy areas probably need it every other week..

They only clean our streets twice per year, spring and fall.
You'd think you would get a written notice if they changed the schedule.

You'd think you would get a written notice if they changed the schedule. Normally we get email reminders when a holiday causes a shift in the day for street cleaning or garbage pick up so I was surprised we didn't get notice about this change. Turns out the city has gone to an "off schedule" schedule and everyone's day changed. With us still getting cleaning two days a month, I don't understand the shift. Welcome to my world, I never know what date or day of the week it is Ha, street cleaning Thursdays is one of the few things that was keeping us grounded in reality.

Ha, street cleaning Thursdays is one of the few things that was keeping us grounded in reality. Yep. Our cleaning days are the same. That's one reason I feel thrown off

Our pick ups are off. Sometimes days off and sometimes, we have not gotten bulk pick up for weeks. City tells us they are short staffed.
