Hey Pokeys, kitbop we are not getting snow (yet)but many of my friends and family are. grammadee I don't blame you for passing on the appointment. I'm still staying home as much as possible. knutschen Phoebe is so cute. My scrap room is also in the attic but we are in a cooler climate. I have a portable air conditioner, but I only need it in July and August for the most part. kellyr21 I'm sorry I missed you in the hangouts last weekend. Your pages turned out great. LisaDV your house is really coming together. I love the blue. nylene I can't wait to see your flowers. I don't have much of a green thumb, but I might grab a couple of planters near the end of May. joyfulnana I hope you can get some scrapping done. I've been trying to clean as I go (for once) and it's made a difference. DH and I made buns today and they are delicious. I've been colouring my stamped images for the 100 day project and I'm on day 33. I've also got Layout a Day this month. I don't know if I would be able to keep up if I was driving to work everyday. Here are may latest layouts. These pics are new. I bought a digital kit called You Game? and printed and cut the elements on the page. Fun and Games This one is from 2016. No road trips right now. Road TripThis one is from 2010! Angel

Happy Saturday evening! I’d love to host all the Pokey’s at my house for a party. If the Rona lasts the 2 years they are saying, I might even be close to having company by then. nylene, I’m sorry about Em’s DD having poor health. I hope they have a doctor that can help them. We did lots of various diets + lots of doctors and specialists. Her new GP just switched her medicine this week (phone appointment). He wants to see her in person next time. I said I would schedule and then evaluate closer to the appointment whether we’d be in or not. I’ll pray for your DGD’s answers and healing. I can’t wait to see your petunias. I used to put them in big planters in front of the farm porch steps. grammadee, I’m right there with you. The GI specialist called for rescheduling DD’s appointment. Grand Rapids still had over 1300 active cases. Uh, No. Thanks for asking. They put me down to call back in 3 weeks. I’m glad you have been able to manage your gb. I hope it continues to behave for you until it is safe to venture. joyfulnana, did you clean your table for scrapbooking? kitbop, it’s been colder here, but thankfully no snow. You can keep that. DH finished the mowing today and recruited the boys to get some more yard work finished. They cleaned out one of the front beds of the weeds and old leaves, which makes DH really happy. justjac, your pages are fabulous. Love that you did hybrid for Fun & Games. The title work and elements are perfect on Hit the Road. The Full of Wonder page is just adorable. Where your buns sweet, savory, or just normal? I’ve promised cinnamon rolls to my DS and have yet to make them. He’s about to disown me. I told him I’d make them at the end of this week as DH is furloughed again next week and they’re going to the farm. Then he can enjoy them fresh and take some to the farm, so I’ve been granted leniency at the moment. I’ve been enjoying seeing your images on IG. You have some serious coloring skills! Speaking of DH’s next furlough, DD decided that she did not want to go to the farm with him. The travel sickness would lead to her getting further behind in her studies. So her and I will be hanging out at home. I told DH that I was going to attack the weird room while he’s gone. I cleaned it up this week, including cleaning and polishing the desk. It should be much easier with no furniture and one room already down. Today, after some small chores, I was supposed to be vacuuming the upstairs, instead I enlisted DD to help me start some seeds for our garden. She’s always enjoys it. Then we took the dogs out on the leashes. After dinner, I cut DH’s hair and then DD’s. DD’s is long and she just needed a trim. I need some better scissors though. DH’s hair -- it’s not his worse haircut, but it’s not his best either. He goes about every 3 weeks, so it’s really been bothering him since he hadn’t been since the end of February. DS emphatically exclaimed that I will not be cutting his hair. Lol. Okay by me. I’m sure he’ll change his tune, after the pool season starts. I was going to try to join msliz’s hangout party this evening, but I’m too tired to concentrate on creating. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Momma’s and the Granma’s/Nana’s!

linda I may have to look into a portable a/c. I looked on youtube on how they are installed and they do have to go out the window but I would think I could skip putting the screws in. I don't have a door that leads to the outside since it is on the second level. The temps have went back down a bit here making the room tolerable again! grammadee They have lifted some of our restrictions and even allowing some bars and restaurants to open the dining area. I don't plan to participate anytime soon. I did go to Hobby Lobby one day because I ran out of some particular yarn I needed. Oh my! I felt like that was dangerous! I was glad they had my yarn put don't think I will go back anytime soon. Joann's and Michael's are doing curbside. About my attic room, I had started leaving the windows open and closing the door and it was so nice in the morning! I also try to remember to close the blinds during the day. The Dyson fan I bought is nice and cool but doesn't cool the room like I was hoping. I hope when I need to start using my a/c plus the fan can make it tolerable. If not, I may invest in a portable a/c. nylene We have started doing non-essential surgeries again. Our census has went up a bit since that has happened. We have a unit just for COVID patients but the census of that unit is been low the last 2-3 weeks of <5. I just hope since they have let the stay-at-home orders expire and even letting restaurants have some dine-in guest it doesn't go up. I had an appointment with my allergy doctor this morning. That was interesting going to doctor with all the restrictions. I keep taking photos of the little things I see when I run into them to hopefully scrapbook them at a later time. I finally got to get my allergy shots today after not having one since February. Now we have to make appointments to keep the people in the waiting room low. I finally had to take Miss Phoebe to the vet to get her nails trimmed. She wasn't having it! We are friends again. LOL! It is rather chilly today and supposed to rain. I just feel like curling up in bed! I need to take advantage of the decreased temps and get into my bonus room since the temps will be good. I hope everyone is doing good and staying safe!

I looked on youtube on how they are installed and they do have to go out the window but I would think I could skip putting the screws in. We have 2 that we use at the farm. We don't screw them in at all. They are so easy to put up. Just make sure to have some foam stripping to make sure you have a good seal. They are awesome when you don't have central air.

Good Tuesday morning, Pokeys! How is everyone doing?
Dh has cultivated the whole garden now. Just waiting for the soil to warm up a bit more before most of the seeds go in. Plan to put the onion sets in their rows tomorrow, and the hardier seeds on the weekend. Dgs called yesterday to inform me that HE was coming this next weekend (a long one here in Canada) to help plant the garden LOL. It will probably take longer with his help, but maybe he can be trained up for when he IS useful!
I am off to the greenhouse today to pick up my flower pot (which I left for them to plant for me) and my veggie bedding plants. Will stop in town on my way home for the mail and for groceries and a quick pharmacy stop. I *think* I am prepared: have my niece's cards to put into the mail and a list of plants and seeds I need. (went through all the seeds I DO have, and noted what was missing).

Hi, Pokeys! I have not done any scrapping since iNSD except a bunch of cards for birthdays and grands. When the CA kids send me a letter I send back a card for them. That has kept me making cards. They seem to love that personal mail. I need to get one off to Sammie today. knutschen , I hope you find the right answer for your scrapping area. It sounds like your work situation is good. Do you work with Covid patients at all? My neighbor is an RN but never works with Covid. They have a special team for those patients. I agree that it's pretty scary to go out to Hobby Lobby, etc. I have taken DH lots of places, but I never go in and he cleans up as soon as we reach home. Our governor has asked that we all do "take out" three times a week to help the restaurant industry. So far I have felt ok about the few take outs we have had. Your little Phoebe is so cute. I love that photo. Glad you could get her nails clipped. LisaDV , did you get started on your strange room? I can't believe all the energy you must have. Your home will be so wonderful when you get finished. I love the colors and the openness. Is your brother still there with you? grammadee , your garden sounds wonderful as long as I don't have to weed it! We just have a strip of tomatoes and that's the size of our gardening. I am anxious for our flower pots to start blooming in front of the house. I'll take a photo when they do. Is the DGS coming to help plant a little one or a big one?? Hope it goes well. justjac , I love your pages. You are so prolific. I love that I get to know you and your sweet DH through your layouts. I'm jealous that you and grammadee get to do fun things together. linda , my DGD is worrying about college this fall too. She has already put $ down on her housing and who knows what August will bring.Hugs to your DD as she makes decisions. kitbop , msliz , kellyr21 , grammadee , joyfulnana and any others on the Hangouts chats. I hope that before the week is over I can have some good instructions from Em or my grands so I can join in. I'd love to see each of you in person. I don't think I told you that I took a gift over to my friend who started our Card Club for her b-day. We sat out on her front lawn on a warm day, 6 feet apart, and visited for an hour. It was such a nice out. I have really missed all those card club friends. I need to go do some work in my kitchen. I'll be back later and hope to do some scrapping.

Happy Tuesday! I ordered a tablet and it is supposed to be delivered today. I keep checking to see if it is here! I feel like a little kid! LOL! I can't wait to use it cause my phone is limited with storage issues. I am working on some layouts and I think I might be finished with one of them. Also, I have a new blog post up with 10 craft kit sites to check out. I ordered a macrame key chain kit from Joone to try it out. There are some good ones on the list. grammadee - Garden time!!! I love hearing about your garden. I started watching this YT channel about this family of homesteaders. She was one of my favorite papercrafters for Prima and her own brand. But she traded in her pp for seeds and farming. It is so soothing watching them plant things and all the animals they are so cute. I grew up in a semi rural area of a urban city if that makes sense. So we had lots a neighbors gardening and raising farm animals. So I guess this all feel familiar to me. nylene - I hope you can some to the Hangout. I would love to see you and visit with you. So cool you got to hang with your friend. Hopefully, we will be past this soon. I know people around here are already shopping and when this is over, they shops, malls, restaurants are gonna be crazy!!! LOL! knutschen - We have two portable a/c and they work well. This is simular to what we have. A/C

Here is a funny thing I posted in the NEW RECIPE CHALLENGE THREAD. "Ok, here is my funny story! Yesterday, I was making stuffed bell peppers. The recipe is one of my go to's but the new part was cooking them in the crockpot. I prepared the peppers and stuff them with the Mexican rice and ground beef filling. I put them in the crockpot and waited three plus hours for them to be done. Problem....THE CROCKPOT WAS NOT PLUGGED IN!!! LOL!!! I was so upset and outdone for a few minutes then I had to laugh! I guess all this cooking and moving too fast in the kitchen caught up with me. LOL! So today I made sure the pot was plugged up and we will have that dish tonight. Man!!! LOL!"

Hello Pokeys! Glad I am not the only one with a Swiss Cheese memory, kellyr21 ! Enjoy your peppers! I have potatoes in the oven and steaks thawed and ready for dh to barbecue on the deck. Just need to put together a quick salad. Half my onions are in their rows today. Will do the other half on Friday when dd and dgs will be here helping to plant the rest of the garden. The only flowers I have are in a big pot the greenhouse lady planted for me. It is on a wheeled base so it can be moved outside in the day and inside at night. It was about 26F this morning here, so still too early to set started plants out in the garden! Worked on my income tax info today. Need to find one more document. They extended the deadline to June 1st, but of course it will still be done at the last minute--even if the last minute is a month later!

Hi ladies! OMG kellyr21! That's terrible! And I would have done the same thing, saved it for the next day lol. I have been debating ordering an iPad that I don't REALLY need, I just want it lol. @knutshen I'm so glad you and Phoebe are friends again! LOL nylene I'm so glad you got to spend time with your friend. I hope you can join us on hangouts soon. It's so fun! And I'm seriously getting a little jealous of grammadee and justjac getting to hangout in real life! I love getting to know everyone a little better! I am supposed to scrap with my mom on hangouts Saturday afternoon, but she said she had set up her sewing machine the other day so I'm guessing she forgot lol. If that's the case I may open one up Saturday afternoon. I hope everyone is having a great week!

grammadee , it amazes me that you live in Canada and can put out your garden sooner than I can. And I love this – Dgs called yesterday to inform me that HE was coming this next weekend (a long one here in Canada) to help plant the garden LOL. It will probably take longer with his help, but maybe he can be trained up for when he IS useful! I completely agree. I’ve had my kids in the kitchen with me since they had to stand on chairs. They got to help regardless of it taking me 2 or 3 times as long or having a lot more clean-up (you know, after they did their clean up portion). Now they are pros. At the time, the mess really got to me, and I had to just push my idiosyncrasies aside. Now the mess doesn't bother me so much. nylene , that’s so sweet to make the grands cards. I should make the nieces and nephews cards and mail them. I bet that visit was nice. My brother is still with us. kellyr21 , lol at your cooking story. I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago! Only with my oven, you hit the bake button, then set your temp, then hit start. Well, I forgot to hit start. I roasted the vegetables longer than normal too as I wasn’t finished with the rest of the meal. If I would have checked them when they were supposed to be finished cooking, I still could have gotten them at least cooked through before dinner. I microwaved them for a few minutes to be able to serve them. Luckily it was broccoli and cauliflower so you can eat it raw, but I made hollandaise to go over it and it’s better cooked. Enjoy your tablet. I made some masks for the last couple of days. Took me 2 days (not all day but still lots of time) to create 18 masks. I’m not fast. I want to try a different pattern now. This one fit me well, and I think it was good for DS, but DH still had some gaping on the sides. I have not started the weird room yet due to the above. Plus, I’m trying to get my head around DH & boys going to the farm and what they’ll need. They’re leaving on Tuesday, so I’ll need to tackle the laundry beast again (never ending) and then I have a list of meals and all the items they’ll need. I’m missing the good old days, when I’d just take the list to the store and get everything in a couple of stores in one day. I promised DD we could sew after she gets her schoolwork completed each day the boys are gone, so I may not get to the weird room at all. She’ll enjoy it though and it’ll give her something to look forward to. DD is running for class representative of her grade for next year (10th). There are several kids running. She’s having fun and said she’ll be okay if she doesn’t get it, but, of course, she would like to win. Fingers crossed for her.
Yesterday and this morning, I finished a layout. I hadn't seen anyone sign up for May 16th Sketchy Saturday, so I was almost ready to post (early) and then I saw that I did have a sign up last April for it. Duh. And now I have a layout and sketch ready to go for the next time I'm on. Yay! I tried to make the layout and sketch private on flickr after realizing, so if you see a sketch on flickr from me and a layout with DS & animals let me know. I try to fix it again.

Happy Thursday! Thanks for all the laughter about my crockpot mishap! LOL! I did start it over yesterday and the peppers turned out very good. So today I made sure to turn on the oven for my next meal! LOL! We are busy bees today. Dh is working from home and I doing some cooking and other projects. Waving hi to you all! Oh and my tablet came and I am excited to get lots of apps my phone couldn't handle. Here is a lo I finished yesterday. I love how it turned out. One of my goals is to start making a few YT videos. So yesterday I did a practice run showing how I made this lo. It was ok but I got to figure out how to position my camera better. So this is a fun process. If I get it together, I will post for you all to see. Christmas with Trees by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr joyfulnana - I got a Samsung Galaxy Tablet A 8 in'. I would love an IPad, too. If you get one, tell me how you like it. patin - Prayers up for you and your dh!!!! grammadee - Oh your garden is gonna be growing and growing! What types of veggies are you planting? LisaDV - Glad you dinner turned out ok inspite of the mishap! LOL! With all this cooking we are all doing these day, I guess stuff happens! LOL! Oh, I am glad to hear your dd is sewing! Is she doing anything in particular?

patin, thinking of you today! kellyr21, that is such a pretty layout with the positive and negative Christmas Trees. I left love in the gallery. On Saturday Em and the girls came and taught us how to make our ipads talk to the TV in the family room so we can watch Plex movies there. They also helped me figure out how to connect on Hangouts. In fact, I guess I called 6 people from 2peas accidentally while learning to use it. I look forward to another face to face when I can join. I spent most of the day teaching Em how to use Distress Inks and going through the things I have that she can borrow. She just got a Big Shot and is slowly collecting dies. She looked at my die box that DH made and said she will probably want her dad to build her one for Christmas. I tried to entice her to take a big box of my old papers, but she refused, saying she has a big box of her own. That's the result of having the AC Warehouse midway between our homes for 4 years. I need to donate it, but it seems I can always find the perfect paper in that box. I guess I's a hoarder. I have been reading a book to DH, a couple of chapters each day. He enjoys it since it's almost impossible for him to read anymore. I'm off to read. Have a nice Sunday. Hugs to patin.
