This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . If you are doing the Team Challenges, this challenge is worth one point for each page when you complete all 4. So that's 4 points for completing the Pokey Pea Challenge.

Welcome to May. I hope your weather is clearing up and that there are tiny signs of Spring. With iNSD going on this weekend, be sure to catch some of the challenges and chats on General Scrapping Board. Some of our Pokeys have done lots of work setting this up!(like kitbop, grammadee, joyfulnana, LisaDV, joblackford, msliz..I hope I didn't miss others who post here) I hope to scrap a lot this weekend, but I am too techno-challenged to join the face to face chats. I hope everyone is safe and virus free. Please take care of yourselves.

Happy Thursday evening and the start of iNSD crop weekend. nylene, Thanks for the new thread. Happy belated birthday to Steve. I’m sure you both were over the moon to see the kids. Having things cut for card making and scrapbooking sounds great. I would probably lose the pieces before they made it to their destination though. grammadee, No I’m not full of energy ending this month, quite the opposite. I’m glad you are getting some spring. Enjoy your walks observing nature. justjac, I think it’s fantastic that you work with First Nations and with adults. I understand about the lack of access to technology. My niece works in a rural area school and lives close to it. She has to use her phone as a hot spot as she can’t get internet and in certain places in her house, she can’t use her cell. I saw that pi layout and was giddy with excitement. I love it. My kids say I’m a nerd, but I love the math/science jokes. kellyr21, yay for hanging out and scrapbooking. We finished Day 4 of the living room today. We are too pooped to pop at the moment. We had a hard day but finished early (2:30) to give ourselves a break. I swear the sounds/groans we make have gotten louder and more frequent as the days of the week continue but also as the day progresses. Frequently they are made with sitting/standing or climbing up and down on the ladders. Tomorrow we tackle cleaning the nicotine off the ceiling wood beams and polishing them. Plus a few more things if I can get the needed supplies in the morning. DH gave me a list. He’s learning as he actually sent me a photo of one of the items. I received the photo before getting the list. I saw it and was “what the heck is that?”. Then he gave me the list, first item, “what the heck is that?”. He said I sent you a photo.

Your description of groaning has me chuckling LisaDV! I can hear you from here Good for you - we haven't started any true projects this spring. I think my garden might just be ready to get dug up however. The lilac is starting to bud...but I'm sad...it is covered in lichen and we'll probably have to cut it down this year. It always hallmarks true Spring for me. nylene, happy BD to your DH. Ordering in seems like one small luxury left in life! We have a lots of birthdays this week and the next two weeks. It is strange not to be doing any in-person celebrating. DHs birthday is tomorrow, along with his twin brother (well, duh) and we're almost always together. I don't have anything for him. He hasn't made up his mind about supper or cake or ANYTHING! He's not very excited it seems... Actually, I can see why middle-age couples start to travel more! The kids can be left behind, and it's an adventure and it feels celebratory. DH and I were going to try a Vegas trip for his birthday this year. (Gotta add tho that we don't gamble, drink, or enjoy glitzy shows. We were planning on driving into the desert and hiking!) Oh well. DD and I were planning on New York in October, and I'm not even convinced that will happen? Do you pokeys think travel will be a little cheaper when all this lifts? To get people out travelling again? It would encourage me justjac - Ontario passed legislation that all high school kids will take at least 1 e-learning course/year starting in 2 years. The teachers are fighting. Our local school board actually hands out a google chromebook to each grade 9 student and they keep it all the way through grade 12. But not every school board does that; and not every city has abundant wifi or technology. I choose to be hopeful that passing legislation like this will force government to help remote/first nations communities CATCH UP in their technology - they only fall further and further behind if we don't keep them up!

Happy May! And happy belated birthday to DH nylene! I'm sure you are so excited to be seeing your family again! Alex seems like so much fun! That's great news that you are feeling up to scrapping too! I haven't braved ordering take out yet, but I think I'm getting close. I'm pretty tired of my own cooking and the actual cooking lol. LisaDV so much work you are putting into the new house, I'm sure it's going to look fabulous once it's all said and done. But man, I do not envy you in the thick of it! I do a lot groaning sitting and standing now, and I'm not up and down ladders all day lol. kitbop - I'm sure air travel will probably be fairly cheap once things are opened up. I'm not sure how comfortable a lot of people will be with flying or being in close quarters in a group. I fully expect that camping is going to be surging. What better way to get away and still be socially distant? Going to be a busy summer for me at work I'm sure lol. I hope everyone is staying safe and well! I'm going to head over and check out the crop thread. This is the first year I an actually sort of participate in one here during iNSD. I've got some chores and errands to take care of and hope to scrap a bit this afternoon with whoever is hosting a hang out!

Happy May! nylene - I hope you're all better now. Happy Belated Birthday to your DH! LisaDV - you've been working hard in that living room. I do the same thing with pictures when DH is shopping for me - snap a picture of the adhesive or whatever so he knows exactly what I want. kitbop - sorry about your lilac - my gardenia is starting to bloom and I had to pull tons of vines off it this week - more to go but harder to reach. It split during a storm some years back and the vines took root in the split. DD19 has a birthday this week also (the 7th) - I have a couple of gifts for her but it'll certainly be more low-key than usual. joyfulnana - looking forward to seeing your creations! I finally seem to have found some mojo and got some pages done today - as well as some laundry (there's always laundry...). Took a break to join a zoom meeting held by the county extension office - they're starting a 10-week walking/fitness program on Monday and this was the intro meeting. Hopefully it'll get me moving some more.

You all definitely were not pokey this weekend. Such fabulous layouts. I'll be trying to leave love in the gallery through the week this week. DH was suppose to be playing games with a couple of buddies on Sunday morning. One of the guys sets up a board game and a video camera on the board game. Then they take turns like they are really together having just the one guy move the pieces where the others say. To do this, DH needs to be in our bedroom with the 32" monitor that he uses for work. (old eyes). DS came into our room at 3:30am and had yet to fall asleep. His allergies had been acting up. Not surprising as he forgot to take his medicine and we had started the clean up from the week, so I kicked up a LOT (humongous) amount of dust and dirt over Friday and Saturday. I went to his bed and he took my spot. So he was still sleeping when they should have been playing. Which meant DH couldn't play, which by extension meant I couldn't come play. Oh well, there is always next time. Hopefully we won't be at the end of a room remodel. The living room work took all week. We were hoping to also open the pool and till the garden. We were overly ambitious for our age. We probably could have gotten all that done in our 30s. Although I don't know what DH is complaining about, he now says he's 2 decades younger than me. He's always said his a decade younger. I was born December 29th, 1969, him - June 18, 1970. I'm a whole decade older. Now I'm 50 and he's still 49, which is another decade. Anything he can do to point out I'm older. It's like anything to point out I'm short, but now DS is taller than DH so that one isn't as much fun for him now. Furlough week is over. DH is back to work today. This week I have the normal chores, plus some computer bill paying, some deep cleaning, some re-screening of screens, and mowing to do. Also DH has started growing pork chops and says he doesn't shave them until I cut his hair. So that is a priority for this week.
Hope everyone has a fabulous week.

LisaDV - I'm sorry that your Sunday plans got derailed. Sounds like you had a busy weekend nevertheless. Good luck with the to-do list. I need to play catch up on housework and other chores today after spending my weekend playing, lol. So far I've done my computer chores (cleaned up my inbox and download folder and ordered photos) as well as started laundry. Now to do housework and write letters.

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! It is grey and gloomy here, probably a perfect day to scrapbook. Unfortunately I need to get caught up on other things that have been neglected over the busy scrappy weekend. It was wonderful feeling all the energy on the boards this weekend! Glad so many of the Pokeys got to play! Sorry about your foiled plans, LisaDV . And sorry that your dh missed his time with friends--that sounds like an innovative way to get together at a distance. Sounds like you had a VERY busy week what with painting and yard work. I would need at least a few days to rest after THAT! How are your ds's allergies today? I see that MOJO came to stay at your house, Linda . Loved your pages about the Pandemic experience, mixed with a Disney trip from years ago--way to mix it up! How is your family being affected by Florida opening up the economy? Sounds like western Canada is starting to move in that direction. I can't wait for them to let the hairdressers know it is legal to open up. The lady who does my hair works from her home basement, so not alot of chance of infection there. I was thinking I would text her and ask her to fit me in as soon as she can once she opens again. (but not sure how much she will be able to do what with home schooling her two rambunctious boys!) On NSBR there was a thread about what we would do differently to prepare for the "next pandemic", and when I looked at myself in the mirror this morning, I thought "I would get my hair cut REALLY short just before the lockdown". Yay that you got some scrapbooking done, kellyr21 ! Left you some love in the gallery. Glad you got to join in on some Hangouts. Sorry I missed you. I did enjoy chatting with kitbop and joyfulnana and justjac and msliz and other Peas. And nylene , did YOU pop into a Hangout as well? I thought I saw your name pop up on my Hangouts notification list. But, again, I missed you. Loved seeing your beautiful pages as well. Not sure if I caught them all in the Gallery: I started at the most recent posts and am working backward. And I am not sure what page I got to of the TEN pages of sharing and chatting in the crop thread, but I need to go back there and catch up. I think justjac said it might take all this week to properly comment on everyone's creations there. Sorry you may be losing your lilac, kitbop . I love lilacs. Wanted one for a long time, and finally talked dh into planting one a few years ago. It blooms late, but is always loved for the short time I can see and smell those flowers each summer. Dh actually worked up our veggie garden with the tractor and cultivator late yesterday. He had been saying it would NEVER be dry enough, but I guess "never" came ! He wants to work it up again in a day or two and then we will be able to plant potatoes. I ordered onion sets from a seed supply company but have yet to receive them. (We usually put those into the ground the same time as the potatoes). If they don't get here by the end of this week I may need to buy some from a local supplier. Planning on a greenhouse trip on Friday to pick up some started tomatoes and cabbage and other bedding plants so I can get the onions then. Okay, enough talking about what I have to do, and start actually DOING it! TTYL.

grammadee - no changes for us with phase one of re-opening. Phase one is allowing retail and restaurants to reopen at 25% capacity - some parks (city/county/state) are reopening partially as well. I'm higher risk (diabetic, auto-immune, fat, reduced lung capacity) so we'll be slow to make changes. Not to mention I would like to see my area decreasing in new cases - not increasing. Good luck with your veggie garden - how big an area do you plant?

Well, after scrapping, scrapping, scrapping all weekend, today I had to go back to normal. DH said he had a few errands for us. We left home before 8 a.m. and picked up all the plants for our flower pots and small garden, went to Home Depot for lacquer, got gas for the mower, Costco to have his hearing aids cleaned, the tool store to pick up a repaired tool, the sprinkler store to get more small hose, the Bagel store because we have really missed those and a stop to drop some plants to Emily. Luckily, I was able to stay in the car for most of those, but it was noon when we got back home. I am hoping that will be the last of the trips for a while. Lots of places are now open here but masks must be worn and social distancing is required. LisaDV , I'm sorry you didn't get more scrapping time on Sunday. Did all the stains get cleaned from your beams? I had to laugh at your DH saying you are a decade older! My oldest was born 24 days before you were and her DH was born in January so they have the same situation. He likes to say she is from the 60's....well, a few days in the 60's! How are the allergies treating your DS today? kellyr21 , it was so fun to see that you did some pages. They are wonderful. You have such an eye for color and design. I hope you enjoyed it. I'm glad you got to chat face to face with some of the Peas. grammadee , I did pull out my ipad and click on the link. I just didn't know what to do after that. I will have Em or Doug give me some advise before we do the next one. I would love to see you all in person. You did some wonderful pages during the weekend. Your Hawaii pages are so pretty. I have made it through most of page 8 of the layouts, and quite a few posted in the gallery. It will take me a couple of days to catch them all. Thanks for all you do. It was a fun weekend. The only reason I got so much done was that I did a lot of paper piecing and cutting last week and picked out papers to go with my photos. I didn't always use what I planned, but it was much faster than finding papers and embellishments. Linda , you really accomplished a lot! That must feel so good to have been that productive. I know you have been working on scanning photos and I'm sure it felt good to sit down and scrap. I loved the page of online school OUTSIDE. I'll be glad when it gets warm enough here to be outside more. You did a great job this weekend. joyfulnana , I look forward to seeing the pages you finished. Thanks for all you did this weekend too. Is your state still in lock down? With things opening up does that increase your business and work load? We have seen lots of campers on the streets, and our State Parks have opened, so I guess people are ready to RV. Our kids will finish school in 2 weeks so I think people will want to get out into nature. msliz , I chuckled looking at the color of your DD's hair. My purple-haired Emily is now purple and teal. She'd fit right in the family. You got a lot of pages done! I love your grid work. Do you print your own photos that size? I love that look. I need to go help plant flowers, so will come back later to catch up on enjoying the posted projects. Have a great rest of the week, everyone.

Thanks nylene - it was fun to take the weekend and just scrap. Sounds like you accomplished a lot running errands this morning - would love to see your flowers once they are planted. I love flowers but lack a green thumb. Talking to D19 about next school year - she's waitlisted for on-campus housing and neither she nor I are comfortable locking her into a lease at this point. I think she's decided to wait and see until early August - if she gets on-campus housing, great. If not, she'll probably switch her classes online and stay home. Not ideal - she doesn't care for online classes - but her college is in Orlando and she uses public transport even living on campus...we're not confident that there won't be another wave in the fall and paying for an apartment if she ends up back home online anyway...not ideal. I'm undecided about DD13 also - she thrives academically at school but we might end up doing virtual school or homeschool in the fall depending on how things look come August (our schools go back in early-ish Aug)

You all definitely were not pokey this weekend. I think there are lot of these pokey's that are never pokey! Not as pokey as I am Linda I can understand the concern over DD 19 going back to school, I think the second wave is going to undo all the work of the lockdowns. I seriously hope I'm wrong. It was so good to see all your pages this weekend! So glad your mojo is back. nylene I hope you can join a hangout soon. I love chatting with everyone and then had 7 hours with mom and niece scrapping on hangouts Saturday. I'm getting spoiled by it, it's not as much fun to scrap alone now lol. Wow, you guys accomplished a lot this morning! And omg you were on fire this weekend too! So happy to see your pages popping up over the weekend! LOL grammadee! So many people I know are saying a trip to the salon is the first thing they are doing when they can lol. I've never been so glad that I decided to stop coloring my hair years ago and just keep it long lol. LisaDV that sucks that you didn't get to play. My weekend didn't go the way I had it envisioned in my head either. Mostly because I didn't get to spend as much in pea hangouts as I wanted lol. Oldest DS invited me over for dinner which took care of my evening. He made chicken tinga tacos and omg they were delicious! I told him anytime he wants to cook, send me the list and I will buy the groceries lol. Actually, I should have him come get food from my freezer and have him cook for me. I have gotten to a point where I would almost rather not eat than cook. Your DH and I share a bday - but I AM nearly a decade older than he is! lol kellyr21 it was so awesome to see you this weekend! I have to catch up commenting on all the beautiful projects that were posted this weekend. I love the energy the crop brought to the board. It really helped spark the mojo and I hope that will last. Today is going to be a cleaning catch up on housework, and cleaning the scrap area so I can start again lol We are on a "soft" reopen here. On the 6th manufacturing plants and other businesses that don't have direct customer access will open, and restaurants at 10% capacity. On the 15th the mayor will evaluate where we are case wise and adjust from there. Otherwise everything else is still closed until the 15th. nylene, I know people are really restless and want to get out and the RVers want to go camping! Things started picking up as soon as there were rumors reopenings. I'm sure the RV business with thrive through this. Which is job security for me lol. But I have to say, I'm really grateful I work from home right now, because I'm not sure I'm comfortable yet getting out. Our cases in the rural areas are just starting to pick up, not decrease. I've got to go figure out how to get my crop badge - thank you @abcreations for making those work! msliz did DD manage to play online with her friends or did she crash?

I hope everyone is doing good. nylene , I am glad you are feeling better! I will have to post a photo of Miss Phoebe and I riding my bike. I bought a K9 Sport Sack so she could ride on my back. The picture cracks me up!! Her tongue is to big for her mouth anymore. Her nails have gotten to long since I haven't been able to take her to get her nails trimmed. She has never let me do them but I bought nail clippers and DH & I have been trying. Oh my!! I can only get about 2 nails done and have to quit. Last night, she didn't want to sit near me. The kitties are doing good! Phoebe sport sack by Jana, on Flickr kellyr21 I love your new website and look forward to future post! I was hoping to join in to some of the INSD festivities. I was all ready on Saturday to get into my scraproom and since it is in the attic, it was 88 degrees! I couldn't tolerate it very long and I was back downstairs. I had even bought a Dyson heat & cool fan which helped but not enough. Since I had new windows installed, I can't put my window a/c up without voiding the warranty. I have been trying to come up with an alternate solution but haven't figured that out yet. It has been cooler today and I may go upstairs to organize more. I can't get much done with DH at home. I only have a couple of more days off before I have to go back to work. They have started doing non-essential surgeries so I am unsure what the census is now. I guess I will get a sneak peak tomorrow since I did sign up to help with skin checks. DH is hungry. I don't have any plans for dinner so we will see what we can come up with.

Good to hear from you knutschen! Miss Phoebe is adorable! Sorry you couldn't join us this weekend. Temperatures like that still seem a long way off for us, but they'll probably hit before I'm ready! @kellyr - beautiful layouts! I really like the Christmas one of your DH, but I think it could have handled some of your flowers without being girlie because of the great trees and strong reds you used. nylene, I hope you can join us for a hang out soon! It's really nice to put faces and voices (and real life names) to people. Gosh, it sounds like you've gone from sick to superwoman - 4 hours of chores and planting flowers?!? LisaDV, you and your DH are just like me and mine - I was born Dec. 1970, DH May 1971. I had never thought about the "decades" issue - it's bad enough that I have to turn 50 before him!

knutschen - can you use a portable a/c? They are free-standing but do have to be vented (through a window or door). We borrowed one a few years back when our a/c went out and it really helped - didn't cool the whole house obviously but the area it was in was much better. Phoebe is adorable

grammadee, I’m right there with you on the short haircut before the next lockdown. I usually only get my hair cut every 6-8 months. Of course, I had this cut I really liked almost 3 years ago now and couldn’t get the same cut since. It was at a place in Grand Rapids and since we only visit there occasionally. I went there at the beginning of March and with the hairdresser being patient with me, we figured it out. She said that it needs to be cut every 4-6 weeks for the stylist to be able to follow the cut. Otherwise it’s too long. The shorter your hairstyle the sooner you need it cut. Of course, lockdown started less than 2 weeks later. nylene, DS is good now. You would think he would be diligent about taking his medicine when we’re actively kicking up dust, but no. Boys – teens - ?? So it’s not just my DH who is silly. That’s good to know. Wow, that was a lot of stops. Going to all the stores always wore me out more than a day of cleaning, but it is necessary. What type of flowers are you planting? Masks and social distancing is suppose to be followed here too. The local grocery has a sign that you will not be admitted without a mask. Also, only 1-2 people per family. The Lowe’s had a que on the outside of the store so they could limit the number of people, but several did not have face masks. They announced like every 15 minutes that masks should be worn and social distancing should be followed. I was standing outside the spray paint section as there were already 2 groups (a group of 2 and a single person) within the 12-15’ section. A guy without a mask comes up and goes right in. I was pea livid, of course, I didn’t say anything. It seems like many people think it’s just business as usual. Of course, I hadn’t been out prior to the last couple of weeks so maybe it was like that before. Linda, I think the online option is the best bet at this point. But I agree with the wait and see. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. According to experts the best-case scenario right now is that things open up and we have regional flares to deal with. But most experts really don’t think that is the case. They have 2 lines of thought right now: things open up, we spike up and close down again and again. Basically a slow controlled burn for the next couple of years. The other is that the 2nd wave will be worse. Of course, no one is talking about how the US is saying this is a China made and released virus and how China is saying this is an American made and released virus. I think many American’s just don’t believe in the government anymore. But what about Chinese people. We could be very close to war. joyfulnana, how sweet for your DS to cook for you. Yes, I’m definitely pokey these days too. Lack of time is the biggest issue, but even during the hangout on Saturday morning (9-12), I only finished 1 layout. Since I have been as prolific as years past I don’t even know if that’s my average time or quick. I guess what it really means is I need to start scheduling some scrappy time. Can’t believe you share the same birthday as DH. We have so many family birthday’s in June, it’s the busiest month for births. kellyr21, beautiful pages. knutschen, that photo is so cute and funny. I’m in the same boat with trimming the nails. I bought these mats from amazon that you smear peanut butter on. To give the dogs a treat and distract them while they get their nails done. The beagle (always food motivated) licked on it, but still was distracted more by the clipping. The lab mix, uh, No, she was way to nervous to even think about food. I need to make another session. Next up - I’m sharing photos of my almost completed living room.

Looking from the odd room they called an eat in kitchen and that has a built in desk. From the fish tank. My colors were indigo batik and cabana blue. The hall and the “eat-in” kitchen/office will be zircon which is a light gray. If I knew it would take me a year to do 1 dang room, I would have started with that weird room, as I really dislike that wallpaper the most out of all the rooms. 🤦♀️

now I am intrigued by the "weird room". You need to do a page about that one! I'm sure I will scrapbook at some point. It's the visible one with the wild wall paper (the cat is in it) that they called an eat in kitchen, but it's not in the kitchen and they have a built-in desk in it. Plus one part of one wall is on an angle. ?? My disclosures for those going back to look at that weird room now: That folding table has all our work tools on it and the desk has caught everything else during the living room adventure. So I hope to get that cleaned up this week. Unfortunately, that desk is always a catch all and I have to clean it off every month from looking like it does now.

kellyr21 , I agree that the scrapping party needs to be at LisaDV 's house. I love all those open rooms and the color is gorgeous. I plan to check out your blog today and see what new things you have added. It has been warm for a couple of days but we had big winds last night that worried me. I have always been more afraid of wind than earthquakes! I guess I've had too many scary wind experiences. I look forward to having it get hot here too. LisaDV , your rooms are beautiful. I can see why you don't like that strange room. You have done so much work. It will be interesting to see what you do with that room. I hope you get some scrappy time soon. How is your DD doing? Em has a DD who is starting to show her same symptoms. They have gone the diet route, but still have found nothing that really helps. At least she knows that her mother totally understands. grammadee , have you had a chance to sit down and rest from all your scrapping? You have made some beautiful double pagers. Your family will really appreciate all this work. How's the GB doing? This is not a good time for it to act up with all the shelter in place stuff. Hugs to you. knutschen , I'm sorry it's so hot in your home. We went through the same thing when we replaced all the windows. Once our son had finished school and became a contractor we were able to have him install central air. It's much cheaper if your son is the contractor. It is so much nicer than having the windows open or a fan blowing papers all over. Without him, we probably wouldn't have it now. How is working at the hospital right now? Our hospital is now doing some non-essential surgeries too. We have a bunch of Covid patients at the one nearest us.Hang in there. We appreciate you medical workers. kitbop , that goes for you too! joyfulnana , I'm glad you have job security and very glad you are working from home. I am not brave enough to go out much except just to drive DH when he needs something. The traffic this week was overwhelming. I guess when you lock people down and partially open things, people are coming out of the woodwork. I hope we aren't opening things too soon. Linda , thanks for the info about Covid printables. That was really helpful. You really did a lot of layouts over the weekend. Congrats on your win. That's awesome. How locked down is your state? We planted Wave Petunias that cascade down over the pots once they get going. I'll post a photo once they start blooming. I am really hungry for color in my yard. My irises are starting to bloom. I hope they last until the end of the month for Memorial Day. We don't have any family graves in our state so I offer them to a sweet neighbor for her family graves nearby. I'm off to get something accomplished in the house today.

Good Thursday mid day, Pokeys! Good to hear from so many of you. knutschen, I love the doggie photo. Our dd's Tibetan terrier's coat is getting longer and shaggier by the day. Our province is opening up restrictions on services like vetranarians, so they are on a callback list that may start shearing those long haired dogs as early as May 27th. Last night dd took the dog for a walk and a little girl thought it was a stuffy! Do your attic windows open? If they do, you might find my non ac house solution helpful. At the beginning of the season, I open the windows on the upper floor, and set up fans that blow air up from the lower levels--one at the top of basement stairs bringing cool air up from there; one at the top of the 2nd story stairs pulling air up to there; one in each of the rooms with an open window. What this does is keep the air moving, and releases the hottest air out of the upper story. If you can do this, leaving your scraproom window open a bit, even all night, you will notice a huge difference in the temperature up there, especially early in the morning... Would love a Pokey Peas Party, gals, but sadly I don't see that happening for awhile. kitbop and I were even suggesting the menu LisaDV could serve us, especially if we coordinated our party with morelle season! Guess we will have to stick to getting together on Hangouts! Hoping more of you can join in next time we get one going. msliz was discussing setting one up this upcoming Saturday evening... Will check out your blog later, kellyr21. Glad you have been scrapping again and are sharing so much info for others to jump back into it, too. nylene, I have not been exactly sleeping since the weekend, just working on some other things. Thanks for asking about my gb. It is behaving for the most part. Have had a few flare ups, but have been able to manage them at home. Easier to adjust my schedule & diet when there are no other commitments to meet. And to control what I eat when I am the one buying the groceries and preparing the meals. Yesterday I needed to go to the meat packers' to pack up dd's beef, which dh's cousin delivered to her house yesterday. He lives only about ten miles away from her, so he agreed to do this for us to save us a trip. Dd's freezer is pretty small, so I brought home and stored about a quarter of her beef here. This morning I put together a two pager, but won't be sharing it here for a week or so. Decided to take on one of SCT's iNSD challenges, so submitted my LO to them. But now I need to get our seed potatoes ready b/c dh is outside measuring the rows where they will be going. Then we will be both out there until we have that gardening project completed. Okay. Gotta go!

grammadee your beautiful card arrived yesterday! Thank you! I think the postal service must be struggling, because that card was a long time coming. I ordered extra face masks on etsy and had one shipped to my mom, and the package hasn't been scanned May 2nd. Hopefully it will show up for her in the next day or two. knutschen Phoebe is a cutie! That sucks about your craft space being so hot. There is no way I would have lasted at 88 degrees either! I hope you can find a solution. LisaDV those colors are gorgeous! LOL at the weird room the former owners called an eat in kitchen! lololol It may have taken a year but that living room is just amazing. kellyr21 It's so cool that you are scrapping some again. I've got to get to the gallery and try to catch up, (and on the sharing thread). I've actually completed 4 LO's this month already which I KNOW is a record for me! grammadee good luck with the SCT challenge. Not much going on here which is pretty nice actually. My table is still a mess from the weekend so no scrapping going on either lol. Hoping for tomorrow evening. I hope everyone is having a peaceful evening!

Happy Friday! Hope you all are having a good day. I am and hope to get more done today. Yesterday was a "It's not gonna happen" day! LOL! So trying to catch up today. I am finishing up another page and I have got to get a few more pictures so I can scrap more. I think I am almost caught up in the gallery. You all have made some amazing layouts and I am glad to see everyone's work. nylene- Your flowers sound so pretty. Maybe you can post a pic of them when they bloom. I love flowers as you know! Waving hello to all of you and have a restful evening!

Good Saturday morning, Pokeys. Hope you are all well and happy. Dh ventured into town this morning to the tire shop with a wheel from his lawn mower. It is ALMOST time to start mowing grass up here. Yard is looking a little greener every day. I normally would have taken advantage of having the house to myself, but I didn't know he was planning to do this today, so don't have anything ready to put together this morning. I am doing some cutting of titles and painting some backdrops that will need to dry. Played around stamping with an old foam stamp and some of the paints I had out. Have a challenge from SCT I want to take on. Might be able to finish the LO today if I finish the prep this morning and get a chance to join in to the Hangout session msliz is planning this evening. The surgeon's office called yesterday to offer me an appointment on this upcoming Wednesday (the 13th). I think mine was one of the first ones cancelled and thus is one of the first ones offered now that they are opening up for "elective surgeries". But I gave up my appointment to be scheduled later. Still don't feel comfortable driving into the city. Told her I would probably kick myself if I had another attack before the next appointment opens up, but... Our potatoes are in the ground. Had ordered onion sets on line but they have yet to arrive and no one is answering the phones at the place they were ordered. Just a recording that says to have patience b/c COVID has "slowed down the process for shipping perishable items". Hoping we can get some locally so they can get into the garden soon, too. Happy weekend to all the Pokeys, and Happy Mothers' Day to all the moms and grammas: talkin' to YOU nylene, joyfulnana, kitbop, Linda, LisaDV!

Hi pokeys! I've very naturally returned to my natural pokeyness after last weekend's productivity - haven't touched a page since Sunday! I'm working this mother's day weekend, but since it's SNOWING today (doesn't feel that cold. But still) I guess it's a good one to be at work. We did get the lawn mowed this week grammadee, and the trees are greening a bit. Fingers crossed your gallbladder behaves a while more. Sorry you are too hot knutschen and kellyr21. I admit to preferring cool weather for the reason that if it's too hot there is no escaping, but in the cold you can bundle up and keep warm. However, I do embrace summer now, as I know how short it seems! Party at LisaDV 's!!! Who's in?
