This is so you have bragging rights over cleaning up after your craft session, or finally scrubbing that floor that hasn't been touched in a month (or more if you're me), organizing a supply or your whole room, sorting or editing photos, organizing page kits, basically anything that’s not actually crafting that needs to get finished in the craft room. It's also a place we can just talk about organizing. Show us your best tips/tricks.
*** Note for teams members: If you’re on the team challenge you can claim 10 point for each hour spent. Your time doesn’t have to be consecutive. You can claim a bonus point for before and after photos. grammadee

May 1st, I put away all the stamps I had pulled to use for Mother's Day cards and exchanged them for stamps I can use for dads and grads... Much fewer in number, which is a bit of a relief really. I gathered all the things together I want to use for my virus diaries and then disorganized slightly by taking other stuff out of an Iris box so I could use said box for this project. The things that were in there ended up in a floor pile... so I guess I will earn some points when I figure out where to stash that stuff (or use it up/throw it out). And I transferred all my April photos over to Lightroom, tagged some of them, moved some digital products in, basically got everything ready for working on the virus diaries. And then started printing. I was pleased to find that I have several kinds of photo paper - it's been ages since I printed anything!
Feeling pretty organized!

I did a major clean up on Monday morning after iNSD. Oh my goodness, the mess was just driving me crazy! It wasn’t really so bad, it was at least pretty contained, but I had some other gatherings of procrastination nearby that were making it feel like the whole house was a mess. I’m so glad to have everything for my virus diaries put away in one Iris case for now, and I’ve been able to finish up some things that were almost done and tidy up both of my desks.

cannmom , I always dread the clean up after a long crafting session, but you did good. My clean up seems to take way longer. joblackford , I love your covid journal. I'm sure having the space cleaned up makes you happy and more productive.

Before and after of my cleaning. Claiming 2 hours total. Underneath is the paper storage where I sorted and I finally got rid of some ugly papers I was holding on to for years.

well done jjpeapea! no points but I tossed two photo boxes of negatives. I've had a camera since 1977 and switched to digital in 2003 - I have NEVER once reprinted a photo from a negative. So why was I holding on to them? Because that was what you did

I forgot to take a photo of the messy “before” but I was very proud of myself for cleaning up when I stopped crafting today. It wasn’t hard - I pretty much just had to put everything back in the Iris case, but still... I tend to leave things out so I can keep working on them, but it’s better if I don’t put that pressure on myself. It’s much nicer to start with a clean desk and choose what I feel like working on. It also meant that I actually *finished* the page I was working on. Tidied up! by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Linda, I had the same issue with negatives! I think I may still have some, but I did finally toss a few. I wouldn't even know where to take a negative anymore. Most stores only do digital now. joblackford, I had a kit out a couple of weeks ago that I still haven't put away. I had to move it for DD to work in the space and yesterday I noticed a piece out in the hall. I'm suspecting the cat was batting it around. So I guess I need to follow your lead and put the supplies away.

I ended up deciding not to work on the virus diaries for the next couple of days so I think it was the right idea to tidy up. I still had the case out so I could've dug right back in any time I wanted to, but I ended up making a few cards instead. Halfway through that I actually put the iris case back where it lives under my desk. I don't mind making a mess while I'm working - I haven't found any other way to be creative on my small table - but tidying up helps my mental state

I did straighten up my area to get ready for other projects. It still looks a little messy but at least now I can clearly see where things are.
