Good Morning. Tonight I'm going to make teriyaki chicken bowl. I was going to do that last night, but pasta ameritriciana was requested.
What's on your menu?
I truly wish everyone a happy and enjoyable weekend.

Good Morning scrapmaven! I am just about to take my dog on a walk during my lunch hour. It's such a beautiful day here in Michigan. I went to Sam's club last night and I picked up a take and bake pizza. So that will be dinner tonight.

Today is a public holiday here, which has totally thrown me - I am having enough trouble working out what day it is, without DH sleeping in past 8am! We've had a weekend sort of day - DH planted out all the herbs he bought yesterday, I worked on the jigsaw we have on the go, and we both went for a walk (separately - he walks too far and too fast for me)
Dinner tonight is stuffed shells. I am getting a lot of food ideas at the moment from my son. He sends me photos of their dinner whenever they try something new with Sophia - last week it was giant rigatoni shells, stuffed with a ricotta mix and then baked into a pie. I don't have giant rigatoni, but it remided me that we had the giant shells from when they visited in September, so I'm stuffing them.

I took inventory bits of this and that in my refrigerator and freezer and will make some sort of Mexican casserole with what I found.

We are having pork chops in blue cheese gravy, buttered noodles, fresh artichokes and Brussels sprouts tonight.
It's a beautiful day here. I hope to enjoy some of the sunshine. Have a great day, Peas.

Dd1 is coming over (she lives alone, teleworks, and quarantines) and picking up pizza for us from our favorite place and we are going to binge on pizza and a show.

paget, you have the most adorable doggie. Everytime I see your avatar I smile. My sister rescued a dog that looks very similar and now she has her dog and two puppies. OOPS!

We just got back from a long walk on a beautiful morning. I'm making chicken noodle soup although it's going to be warmer than they predicted earlier in the week. TGIF girlfriends!

Can I jump in? We haven't had any take out since this all started. We have started a new tradition-- Friday night pizza night. We've always just gotten pizza whenever we've wanted it, but now it's a weekly date. We are trying different frozen pizzas. I've never really bought frozen pizza before except the occasional Totino's to relive our college drunk days.
Our favorite so far is Wild Mike's. We even liked Red Baron, which surprised us. Dh and the girls love Home Run Inn, but I am just not a fan. The only really bad thing about frozen pizza is that there are never leftovers. We each get two slices and they're pretty small.
Tonight, it'll be Connie's, DiGiorno, or Palermo Primo Thin (which we've had before). I'm running low on fresh produce, but we'll probably cut up a cucumber and some oranges as a side dish/dessert.

Join in anytime, Jili! We're having pizza, too. Frozen for me so I can avoid both gluten and cheese. I'll be having a Daiya gluten free vegan margarita pizza while the kids enjoy our favorite local pizzeria's Hawaiian, Chicken Ranch and/or Pepperoni pizzas. It is DD's birthday and she hasn't made the final pick yet. I'm pretty sure DH will be sharing it with them or he can have some of mine. His family used to own a very successful pizzeria so he's a pizza snob and a little disappointed the kids share my love of thin crust, NY style pizzas. At her request I've also ordered a Nothing Bundt birthday cake and DH is bringing home the makings for mojitos.

It’s barely warm enough to sit out there and they are landscaping right next to me. I will go out later. Someone is going to feel entitled to breakfast and is going to starve first before he gets it.

It's raining here and all I want to do is sit at home, watch movies and eat popcorn. However, DH doesn't believe that's a proper supper. So I shall go freezer digging when I get home from work. lol

Hey! Since I work outside the house and dh is home, he's been cooking a lot lately. Before Covid, he really only knew how to make hot dogs and spaghetti. He's really coming along! I still meal plan so I try to choose easy things. Last night he made Parmesan Chicken bake Couple of ingredients and it was tasty.

We had a major barfy dinner yesterday - too much stuff in it, and while we ate it, I threw out the rechauffe, something I rarely ever do. Serious hurl food.
We are about to go to our friends for a crawfish boil. I made a dark chocolate cream pie for dessert for the three of them (not me, tummy not a fan of chocolate lately, but that's okay) and I managed to make a double batch of the crust with my remaining flour so we'll have quiche tomorrow on Mother's Day.
Thanks for the thread today. Spring has definitely arrived in the mountains and it's so lovely. The green of the leaves around here has no match at Sherwin-Williams paint store!

DH brought home Chick fil A last night which was wonderful, but that didn't address the problem of the overflowing fridge. Leftovers MUST be on the menu this evening or I'm going to have to throw food away. I mean, who in their right mind would do that!?

I'm defrosting chicken. I am thinking about making Ranch Chicken Stuffed Potatoes. It is one of mine and Kait's favorite dinners.
Yesterday Kait finished her last final online and now she is on "summer vacation". Summer courses start on the 18th so she will at least have a little down time.
It is supposed to get up to 60 this weekend so I will be spending as much time as I can outside. Happy weekend!!

Hi Everyone!
I woke up thinking it was Saturday.
It’s rechauffe here. I didn’t make the cornbread yesterday; so that’s getting added to the menu for tonight.
I have been emotional today and I think it’s because it was my mom’s birthday yesterday. In June, she will be gone for five years. I think being home has allowed me to grieve today. I feel better having a good cry.

DH had to have major dental work done today so dinner for him will be something soft or soup... maybe scrambled eggs. I'll have the same or figure out something else.
