Dinner tonight is scrapmaven ’s ham & potato casserole. Last night was whatever I scrounged up from the fridge, I don’t even remember what.  I gotta run right now but I’ll come back later to read. ETA oh, I made the raspberry lemon pound cake the other day. Big hit. I’ll try it with blueberries next time.  |

Tonight is left overs from the week. We have an assortment of ribeye, roasted potatoes, speckled green beans, pizza and pot stickers. And to round off that eclectic mess I am making some warm caramelized onion and bacon dip with roasted baguette. lol TGIF
ETA.
Tonight I’m going to start bingeing the final season of Schitts Creek. I’ve been putting it off for like two weeks because I don’t want it to end. If you haven’t watched it START. Its so good and quirky and funny.

We are having a pasta dish (https://life-in-the-lofthouse.com/red-and-white-pasta/) but with tortellini instead of regular pasta at DH's request.  I have sour dough bread in the oven and will probably do a salad to go with it all. We got our Misfits box yesterday and have plenty of veggies to use. |

lucyg, I'm glad that you were able to try the Lemon Raspberry cake. It's so easy to make. Enjoy the ham casserole. It's an old recipe. destined2bmom, ((((HUGS)))). Some things bring us back to the day we lost our moms. Those days are so hard. Just know that your mom raised a really special daughter who is kind, compassionate and very lovable. Your mom must have been a lovely woman.

I mowed the lawn for the first time this spring. It was hot out today. I made a healthy choice power bowl. This one was Korean inspired beef. These are cheap, easy (microwave), and delicious. PolarGreen12, we enjoyed Schitt's Creek. Dumb but hilarious. Looking forward to latest season of Dead to Me to come out. |

I went out to Costco and the grocery store this afternoon and didn't end up eating lunch until almost 4 pm. Dinner will be a frozen Bola pizza in a few minutes. It's about all I have the energy to prepare tonight. Dessert will be fresh strawberries and blackberries. They are so sweet and fresh that nothing else is needed. We are about to go to our friends for a crawfish boil Fun! Enjoy some for me, as well as the little potatoes and corn on the cob. Crawfish is one of my all time favorite foods! Come visit me and I'll make up my famous crawfish etouffee for you! |

Today was fun. DDIL FaceTimed me and we did our makeup together. She works from home but needs people. It was fun. I got to try some of my new stuff as did she. We had a great time. I just love her so much.

I tried a new recipe - one of Marion's of course: Spicy Honey Butter Fried Chicken. In the recipe it is served with waffles, but that's not something that appeals to any pf us, so we had it with left over fried rice and stir fry veggies instead. It was really good. |

Well, I guess it is pizza night around these parts. And ... I lied. Turned out it was pizza night here, too.  Ham & potato casserole is definitely on deck for tomorrow. I've been happily roaming Williams-Sonoma web site, looking for new pasta bowls (we eat almost everything out of them). Naturally, I can’t find anything I love. I guess I’ll have to widen the search some. destined2bmom, I’m sorry about your mom. Hope tomorrow is a happier day. marianne, hope your hubby feels better! Any and all bundt cakes are so good and we were thrilled to discover they were open. Notice I avoid the gluten in pizza, but refuse to acknowledge it is also in the cake?  |
