I don`t have to try and leave a mistake in my work jeremysgirl, they just put themselves there when I`m not looking. Here is my latest little girl mouse and nightclothes. Please click pics to enlarge My fur face assistant Asha (my Siamese) was very keen to check out the fleece fabric the moment my back was turned to reach for the scissors. She thinks she`s so helpful lounging on stuff to stop it falling off the desk

I like it to be perfect but there are ALWAYS mistakes in my work. And I'm ok with that as long as it's not glaring.

Are you a perfectionist? Or do you just roll with your mistakes? I am a perfectionist, I find making a mistake really upsetting and it bugs me. I've been known to get up in the middle of the night to fix things because I can't rest for thinking about it and I've even binned stuff when I've made a mistake because I think I've ruined it. I fully acknowledge I'm ridiculous and I'm hoping I'm not alone.

Perfectionist? As a control freak I would have said yes, I’m a perfectionist but in practice I’m not. With yarn craft, if a mistake isn’t jumping out at me I’ll leave it but if it’s easy to rectify I might put it right. I’m probably more so with sewing and I freely admit to being anal about placement of items on a scrapbook page to the extent I will nudge something to the nth degree to get it where I think it should be.

I just pretend I am Amish. My mistakes are intentional.

I just pretend I am Amish. My mistakes are intentional. Haha. My mistakes are not intentional. It just takes a heck of a lot of energy to go backwards and correct a mistake if I don't have to. I'm lazy. I blame the Amish.

I decided to make a very mini (15” square) ‘stay at home’ quilt using some of the scraps from mask making. I’ve spent so much time sitting in my craft room, sewing on my machine I decided to do some hand embroidery with beads while watching tv with DH. I recently bought a new sewing machine with some fancy stitches so I tried them out too. Most of the fabric is from Japan and Bali.

phoenixcov Marigold is marvelous. I love her bedclothes. Will she have a wee mousie to hold? muggins that is wonderful! Those must have been some beautiful masks you made. I did some batik ones for my sister's business, and they love them.

malibou, I think you have just named my mouse for me. I was wondering what to call her, so Marigold it is. I was thinking of making her a little cat toy to take to bed or a more traditional teddy.

I wish you could see the sparkle. That turned out great! Looks nice and cozy too - I'm imaging people walking behind the person wearing it and suddenly realizing what's looking at them...lol

Ha! I love the reviewer who said she'll use it for masks...and if people can see the pattern they are too close and need to move back. A friend in Canada posted a picture of someone with a mask made out of it. The comment was "If you can tell these are penises on my mask, you are too close" LOL My dd works in a Urology office and wanted that mask!

yes! I want to see the after. Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing the during. The during is really boring. A stylus “drawing” over foil by the cameo. They didn’t turn out as I envisioned. I gave them to my 8 year old to watercolor. One had too thick lines because it “filled” - that’s the one that took 2h30 min. The other had too thin of lines because I didn’t fill. I should have used a thicker tip. AND I didn’t have foil over the whole shape. Lol. The first it jammed when cutting so I stopped the cut and cut it by hand. The second it cut perfectly. Attachments:

jeremysgirl - your shawl is just fabulous! I'm not a fan of skulls but you've made such an impressive job of it. Aren't you glad you made it bigger?

I had it spread across my back in the picture so you could really see the pattern. But when it's on cozy like it has good coverage on my arms. Definitely glad I went big. This is a warm one.

My cameo 3 did all the "drawing" on it. I love using foil just need to play around and get the settings right.
