I have been meaning to thank all the people who have been hosting the virtual crops during this time.
While I have not been able to join you (with the family at home/working at home--time to myself became really scarce), I love the idea of it and it's been nice to know it's an option for some scrapping connections.
So, please know it is appreciated, even by those of us who haven't been able to join you!!

Yes thank you to all. I wish my internet would have complied and I could have enjoyed more of it. I’ve never had issues for past virtual crops. Maybe next time
But I do hugely appreciate the effort to make the link and be there for us

I'm so glad you all enjoyed them as much as we did! Starting this weekend, we're going to try to make them a regular presence on our board, every Saturday, at least for the next few months while many of us will still be isolating. If a Hangouts room gets too full, we can just open more links as needed. For east coast Peas, it'll just be an evening crop, but for the rest of you it'll start earlier in the day. One of you west coast Peas will have to open another link if you want to keep it going into the late evening there. For Aussie Peas, it'll be a Sunday morning crop, if I did the math right. Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and some new faces too  |

I need a primer on how to join...in super simple terms I use my iPad. Have the hangouts app, and have enabled mic and camera. When a link is posted here I just click on it, then the button that says Join the conversation. I think the process fess is about the same for non Apple products. You just need to be logged into Google when you click on the link. |

I need a primer on how to join...in super simple terms 1. Have a Google account. 2. You may need to be signed into your Google account. 3. Click on the link in the thread provided by the host. (After this is where it gets glitchy, as we found out over the weekend. ) 4. You may or may not be asked if you would like to join the video chat. If you are asked, look for a tiny video camera icon. It might be green. Click on it. (Sometimes I have to do this step and sometimes it skips right to the next one.) 5. You will be asked for permission to use your camera and microphone. Click yes to that. At this point, you can see yourself on the camera. 6. There might be one more button to click for "join chat," and then you should be in. Please post on the thread if you're having trouble, and we'll try to walk you through it! |
