Here's the stupidest question I'll ever ask here....When you take more than one child to the doctor - do you have to pay more than one co-pay?
Took DS to the doctor tonight and a woman came in after us while we were waiting to be called back and she had two babies...not sure if they were twins, she had a double stroller but one was walking and looked a little bigger than the other - but I overheard her have to pay two copays, two transactions.
I don't know why I never considered that you had to pay a co pay per kid if you have more than one....ok - go on and laugh at me now....

Yes. One co-pay for each patient.

Oh yes. A bill/co-pay for each child at the doctor and the dentist.

Absolutely! We have to go through the registration process twice...and pay twice. I got the two for one deal HAVING them, I think it's only fair I get the two for one deal with all their appts. Unfortunately, they don't see it the same way.

Hah. Of course. And if they are same sex, you'll be sure to be denied for services at some point because your child already had those services (even though it was the twin).
Let's just say I'm best friends with the insurance company people.

Yes - three co-pays for my triplets. More annoying than three co-pays is filling out forms in triplicate. Everything except the name is identical!

I don't have twins, but I have three kids and when they were little, I would schedule their dr. appts. at the same time. But always pay three co-pays.

I have two girls, and when I can, like at the dentist, I book back-to-back appointments for them. Two bills for two appointments for two patients.
If, say, you and your husband went to the eye doctor together, you'd still have 2 bills and 2 copays if applicable. No different with children!

Yes. I try to get all of my kids' check-ups done in one day during the summer -- two co-pays at the ped and two co-pays at the dentist.

Yep same as if you took them at separate times. I do make them copy our forms and I add the names after so I don't fill things out 5 times.

Same as everybody, two co-pays.
now, when they were younger, and one was sick our doctor would check the other out if he came with, but no co-pay for that.

Yep. Two. They are billed separate too. Our VET has one office visit charge per VISIT so we tend to team up and take all critters in together when possible.(yearly exams) If only people docs did the same. I'm sure insurance companies would just love that!

We pay a co-pay for each of the boys. Unfortunately, there's no savings to having twins!

But I have gotten great at filling out one form (except the name) and copying it two more times. I have even asked the doctor's office to copy it after I complete most of the form. Works great!

After years and years of doctors visits, I have gotten it down to a science. This week is back surgery for one. Never ends even at 20. But I wouldn't trade it for the world!!!!

I was even double charged for the ultrasound where they diagnosed twins.....I understood for the ongoing ones, but thought it was crazy on the first ultrasound! She said "there's one heartbeat and there's the other".....that was worth two charges!

Yes and I try to schedule visits for my twins and their older brother at the same time, so three of everything. And it never fails, even though I triple check our paperwork and go over it with the person handling registration, they always get one of my kids' names backwards. I get it, because our last name is a common first name, but it's still annoying because it causes a paperwork/billing headache. After our last visit I got a bill with The boys names listed correctly, but my name listed with one of their names listed as my last name. Ugh!!!!

Let's just say I'm best friends with the insurance company people. Omgosh! Seriously. WHY don't they teach this to insurance people. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I've had to explain *why* DDs have the same birthdate. In the same year. Because they're twins. "So...they were both born at the same time?" Uh...yes.

Thankfully I wasn't triple charged. LOL!
