Laundry. I had to do it since I ran out of clean underwear.

I made an appointment to have my hair cut & colored on Monday afternoon! First time since Feb 27. I am usually in there every 5 weeks. I also went to DD's apartment and saw the Blue Angels flyover Houston. I haven't seen them IRL since the 80's in San Francisco. It's always a treat to see.

I raked the yard. AND Sat on my butt for 3 straight hours watching Netflix (Unorthodox). Normally I take breaks but I couldn’t turn it off. If you haven't already, read the book. I'm a bit more than halfway through and it's very very VERY different from the Netfix series. Both very good in their own way.

I skipped my afternoon nap. I laid down too late to really enjoy dosing off, so I said forget it.

Went to the pediatricians office for a “sick” visit. I put sick in quotes, because he doesn’t have a communicable illness. And that was honestly the only reason the dr even let us come into the office. Apparently he’s not seeing kids with illnesses right now? Very bizarre.
Anywho, my kid did a fair amount of screaming and crying and writhing around on the floor insisting that his hip hurt. It wasn’t his hip, but it was his flank. Very very uncharacteristic for him. He’s pretty stoic. We waited till this morning to be seen, as he did not have a fever. But! I thought he had a kidney stone or infection so I wanted him checked out. We wore our masks, went into the office on the new sick side, exposed ourselves to any and all germs, and used a ton of hand sanitizer only to be told that he’s constipated! 😫😂😂😂. It was a super fun day.

Ha ha ha. I just finished cutting the back of my own hair--and it looks like a 3 year old did it. Sure looks a lot easier in You Tube videos. I did have the good sense to leave the front alone.

I went on Youtube and learned how to floss. I am so late to the game, but I used to practice dance moves from youtube...long time ago.

I went to work .... they are replacing floors in our school and construction was supposed to start in June, but with Covid, they moved the date up. I spent today emptying rooms that are getting new flooring and clearing some of our larger spaces for the other Fine Arts who have to completely empty all of their rooms.

I got an oil change today. It was really weird to be sitting in a place for an hour that wasn’t my home ya know. I felt like I was being naughty. I wore my mask and took precautions. But still it was weird.

I was pretty stunned when he said constipation. I thought for sure it was a kidney stone, since that’s basically how I act when I have them. I am sorry that you have to deal with this with your kiddos too. I don’t know about this parenting business! 🤣. I get a handle on one thing and then something else weird pops up! We have a lot of canned pears, and that seemed to clean him out today. The dr recommended a glycerine suppository (😵), but I didn’t want to try that just yet. Can 7 year olds take Miralax?

It was really fun watching how quickly they flew around the city. I told DD that it would be wonderful if we could commute as quickly!

I’m not a physician, but my son has been taking it since he was 12. It is *very* common for kids on the spectrum to use Miralax. Digestive issues can be a common issue, especially if they have finicky eating habits. Talk to your pediatrician, of course.

Me too. And unfortunately I purchased the mega pack of brownie mix at Costco several weeks ago. I totally forgot I had it until reading this. Guess what I will be making today? Something that I haven’t done since childhood wasn’t done today, but last week. I bought some tater tots. I know someone spoke about them in a post and it planted the seed in my mind. Not enough to purposely seek them out in the store, but when I went down that freezer aisle and saw some, I had to buy them. I honestly think they are better tasting than when I was a child. Oooh! I'm planning a trip to Costco tomorrow. Brownies are now on my list! I just ate one. My gosh it was delicious! There are multiple bags per box, so you will be eating brownies for a while. Please don’t blame me for that!

I hung stuff on a clothesline. I’m talking yeeaars since I’ve hung anything on a line.
My dryer broke and the new one won’t be delivered for another week. Everything can wait but I change out hand towels a lot so I needed to do a load. I forgot how crispy line dried things feel.

I got an oil change today. It was really weird to be sitting in a place for an hour that wasn’t my home ya know. I felt like I was being naughty. I wore my mask and took precautions. But still it was weird. Because of your post, I just panicked and had to check my account to see if I paid for my last oil change because I didn't hang around for it. I don't remember dropping the check in the slot. But I did, or DS did which is why I don't remember. Phew! We use local guys for our car stuff. One car needed oil change so we dropped it after hours, put keys in slot and picked it up next day or so. Dropped $ in the slot and grabbed the car with extra key. (they left the one they had inside). ETA and today I cleaned pine needles off the back patio area. Spring is the main time to do it and then randomly throughout the summer. There are 30 feet blue spruce lining the front lawn area and inches of needles end up on patio over winter. I use a child's snow shovel to get the bulk off before power washing. It's ridiculous how many fall.

Cleaned off and dusted one of the dressers in my bedroom. I had allowed it to turn into a repository for a number of random things over these past weeks, and I couldn’t see the top of it anymore.

3 things: took a day off work, talked to a friend that I haven't talked to in quite a while (by phone), and got out my watercolors and painted a little. It was great!
DD26 & I are currently staying at my Dad's house (out of state) to assist him as he continues his COVID-19 recovery. We've been here a week and a half, and will be here another week and a half until the next "shift" takes over. My sibs and I and other close family members are all taking 2-3 week turns helping him, as he usually lives alone but isn't quite strong enough yet to be completely on his own. He's working on it though! SO happy!
But, it's been a little difficult to keep to a normal working schedule (all online of course) while we navigate meals, chores/errands, nurse visits (in person, socially distanced, with masks) and doctor visits (by phone/video-chat). DD & I have both been busy and anxious/stressed, so today felt REALLY good to relax a little knowing that a) he's well on the way to full recovery, b) I had no urgent work tasks that couldn't wait 1 day, and c) I just remembered I brought brownie mix from our Costco multi-pack with us from our house when I packed to come here!! (I know what we're having tomorrow as a treat!) I brought a bunch of stuff from our house since his kitchen is usually a little understocked, and I wanted to cut down on trips out to the grocery store here.

Funny you should ask this today... since I'm now working at home, and today was a glorious spring day; sun shining, blue skies, birds literally singing their hears out, I took my 10 minute break and laid in the sun on the lawn. Right there on the grass, listening to the birds singing and a distant airplane going over, thinking that I hadn't done this since I was a kid! It was an amazing 10 minutes
