Make some posters and hang them out the window or attach a string of balloons to the car. I’m sure if you googled, you could find some visual ideas.

I’ve seen a few cars where they’ve strung balloons to a string and connected the string through the front windows (but kept all the balloons outside the car, on top).

How fast will the parade move? We had one around our district and balloons were lost along the way.

I like parades at twilight (evening time). You can get USB powered blinking lights and string them along the car. Glow sticks to throw. Confetti or glitter for "fairy dust". Balloons. Crepe paper streamers. Window paint for writings. Banners with fringe. Make sure you have someone film the approach of the parade all the way through for memory keeping sake.

Washable tempera paint comes off windows with soap and water and does a great job. I used a sponge to write the words and decorate with Just make sure you don’t use watercolors, even washable ones, on your white vehicle. One of my siblings had a white car that someone painted Just Married on for their wedding and it never came off! There are special window paint pens that we’ve seen people use here that are specifically made to use on vehicle windows and I think Michael’s sells them. That’s what I would use. Also balloons, streamers, signs taped to the side windows on the outside. I’m pretty sure our elementary is going to do something like this at the end of the year so the kids can drive through the school parking lot and wave goodbye to their teachers.

We've seen a lot of stuffed animals secured to grills/sun roofs/etc. here.
