Hi
I searched and didn't see a Citrus Twist thread similar to our all things SC, KP, FYC etc...if there is one, I can delete this.
I ordered some of the imperfect Life Crafted Albums in the past NSD sale. I got them within 5 days. They are absolutely great. I can't even tell how they are imperfect. I think these are going to be my new go to albums in the smaller size.
I've also seen more and more design pages on IG from guest designers that usually work with Ali and I'm really liking what I see. I still don't like the photos of her kits as they are washed out/overly pastel colours, but I like seeing how the designers are using them. Now if she had KP, LLP, IACB and Shimelle guest designing for her , I'd be in heaven

I sub to CT so I’m glad we now have one of these threads.
I agree on the albums - I picked one up in her last sale and I couldn’t find any fault at all! They are brilliant value in the nearly perfect sale.
Happy to hear you’re happy with them.

My two albums came and I could tell right away what the flaws are. On my goldenrod one there is a pull in the linen fabric. It does catch my eye, so it’s noticeable. I would be upset by it if I paid full price. It’s totally fine and nbd for an imperfect item though! The other one has a few tiny fabric flaws in a cluster, and a small dot of darker color on the gray. It almost looks like how a grease splatter will stain a shirt or something. Not something I’m distressed about at all, just noticeable. Honestly, it’s a little bit of relief to start with something imperfect. Helps me not worry about “messing it up”. You know that feeling with a brand new car? It’s so much more comfortable once it gets a couple dings and you don’t stress about it anymore. I had also ordered a pack of 2x2 pp and they included a single 3x8 (2 3x4 slots) in my box, along with a sprinkling of embellishments. I was delighted!

I think there is a thread but it’s buried super deep that starting a new one is totally fair game.
I’m pleasantly surprised to see my imperfect album package arriving today!
I agree that their stuff isn’t my style. The pastels, I can handle. But I find the sentiments on the cards/embellishments and the stamp sets to be not up my alley.
I do love Trina’s customer service and the quality of the items is great.

I WANT to subscribe to CT, but man. I cant get over how pastel and blah the kits are. I go back and forth on the kits - I took about a 9 month break and then have resubscribed during lockdown as I need more supplies. They're definitely not a perfect kit club for me but they have some great qualities. The cards don't really do it for me but I have Studio Calico and others for that. So I wouldn't recommend it to someone who NEEDS cards. You don't get many in the kit, and they're not super creative. They're cute, but the designs aren't perfect for me and you don't get enough of them for the month really. 3x4 cards are my number one priority and what I need a steady stream of so I resubscribed to SC as despite all the drama and me probably saying I'd never shop with them again, they continue to be my favourite and the most accessible for me here in the UK. Citrus Twist is good for the embellishments and the bundled shipping in my opinion. Their stamps are also a very good price if you like the little typewriter word stamps rather than big, decorative, feature stamps. I love the typewriter style stamps and I use them all the time. The variety in the embellishments is awesome - they always come with an alpha and most of the time it's dimensional, and always come with an ephemera pack. You're pretty much guaranteed to get chipboard or a puffy sticker and it feels like most months you get both. I also really like that the kits come with 6x8 papers, and in the past they have been from some of the American Crafts lines which I really liked. Long and short of it is - I sub to CT for the embellishments, not the cards.

I love the life crafted albums. I bought 5. I just got their grab bag and it was great too. I don’t buy their kits too often but the bits I buy I love.

So are you using the CT albums as scrapbook albums? How is the size format working out? I love the kits, so am tempted to commit to a new size.....

I subscribed at the beginning of the year. I really like the kits and while I wish there were some bolder colors, I add that in myself. I love that you get extra digital cards, printable and die cuts each month as a subscriber for free. The price point is great and the customer service is excellent. They also have a really good design team and I love that they all have a little bit of a different style.

The size initially was hard to get used to but now I love it. Instead of an individual 4x6 pic, I had most of my horizontal pics printed with two pics on a 4x6. The 2x3 size pic works great on the CT album pages. Vertical pics in a 4x6 work great but I had some of these made smaller too so I could fit more on my pages. I’m not a kit club subscriber, but I have purchased a number of items. The customer service has been great whenever I’ve had a question.

Love that you started this thread @northrigg! I'm with mom. Just way too pastel for me. I would love a new kit to subscribe to but there's just nothing out there right now that is drawing me in.

I used one for DAy in the life on my daughters bday. I also started one of just things from quarantine. I recently did this page and love it. http://instagram.com/p/B_u3fmGgUGt For a couple months now I have been doing seasonal travelers notebooks. I’m now replacing that with these albums.

I’ve been using mine as an alternative to anything I’d put in a 6x8 or 3x8 — so smaller projects like a travel album for a length trip. I really like the ability to do some TN sized layouts and do regular pocket pages. I use a mix of TN size and 3x8 page protectors in there. I didn’t like how so many scrapbookers were doing TN pages these days. But now that I use these albums from CT, I don’t mind as much because now I have a little more inspiration to look through.

I LOVE CT. I used to subscribe but I just don't need so much so I cancelled. If I ever were to sub somewhere again, this would be it. Excellent CS too!

I love your pages! I'd love to sub to CT but our Canadian dollar is just so weak right now that it's too expensive - some day, though...

I sooooo wanted to buy a couple of those flawed albums in the recent sale. But ALL of the colours I liked had gone! Being an international with a current horrific exchange rate, I just couldn't pull the trigger for albums where I wasn't that keen on the colours.
C'est la vie!
I AM excited to be getting my first ever order from them ....whenever it shows up. I love the 4x8 sized proctectors! I also threw a stamp set in.
I'm very keen on their kit... and at 3 month commitment, I'm liking a lot. Haven't quite pushed the go button though.

Oh! The other thing that got me all super excited.... those strips that you can add to ANYthing and have it work in the rings...! Bam! Done. I'm creating a COVID album, and am including things our city council has sent out etc.

I'm loving this size for my Pandemic album I just started! I bought 2 of their albums before their sale and missed out on the colors I wanted when they had the sale. Now I'm just about to push the subscribe button for their monthly kit. I'm loving the look of their stamps!

I finally took a closer look at my flawed albums.
The carolina blue one — I really can’t find a flaw aside from maybe a slight bump under the fabric where a little fabric knot might be and possible a teeny glue stain that most people wouldn’t even notice.
The goldenrod one — This one is more apparent. It looks like an accidental pen or ink mark at the bottom back edge of the album. It’s maybe 2 mm long and black. Not a huge deal. Might try to take a Tide pen to it carefully.

I bought 2 of the embellishment grab bags in NSD sale and I am happy with the items I received. Everything was new to me as I have not bought from them probably for 6 or so years. I like pastel colors for some of the pictures but I prefer when the papers and cards are a little brighter!

Do they only have SB kits? I see on the current subscriptions page a SB one and and add-on, but no other actual kits. For some reason I thought they had a TN kit.

They have one Life Crafted kit and then add ons, including a SB add on. The Life Crafted kit is supposed to be all encompassing but with smaller papers. I think they’re 6x8 plus some cards.

I am so tempted to sub - just waiting for the Canadian dollar to improve... Thank you, I will do, I'm hoping so and I have three months to get my bum in gear!! I actually liked the fact that the kit wasn't overly "project life" heavy and had a mix of both. When I was scrapbooking previously I used to get the Studio Calico kits, which I love but felt like I just HAD to use up all the cards which took out the fun in it for me. The $ to £ isn't great to be honest but I already get the Cocoa Daisy kit for my mum so was expecting the crappy exchange rate and didn't think the price was too bad for what you get, maybe I've been out of the scene for so long but I thought £35 (hopefully with the exchange) was alright for a kit and the flat rate postage did sucker me in. My mums Cocoa Daisy kit almost costs as much in postage as it does in the kit!!!!

I am so excited - my package from CT this month has already cleared customs at London Heathrow, which means if I am lucky - I might have new supplies in time for the weekend.
Incredibly speedy service from the carrier this month, especially since USPS is taking up to two months and beyond to deliver international mail to the UK.
