It does not feel like friday to me, as I was off work. It feels like saturday.
It's fishing opener this wkend, and Mother's day wkend. I had a friend cut my bangs today, and I can see again!! yay. It's freezin cold here. 40s, dropping to freezing tonight. I did buy 2 hanging plants today, but will take them in tonight. We are grilling steak and chicken kabobs tonight, and I'm having a glass of Reisling!! so good How is everyone?!!

I worked, I ran, I ordered a pizza, I took a shower and now I'm just waiting for Jeremy to go to bed so I can grab the remote control and put on some old sitcoms while I crochet a bit.

Yea, my dh and I do not watch tv together. It's like how some people sleep in different rooms because one snores. We have completely different taste in tv.

I am making salmon cakes (salmon is about coming out of oven).. then I have my friday night shows.. rachel, washington week. maybe a moving. editing my dd's wedding photos to get printed.. there are way too many.. trying to cut, cut, cut.

Its just DS1 + I home til Sunday so I spent today doing nothing. I *almost* feel bad about it. Tomorrow I want to scrapbook and do something else, but tonight its tv, a face mask + a glass of wine.

Yea, my dh and I do not watch tv together. It's like how some people sleep in different rooms because one snores. We have completely different taste in tv. I don't watch much TV. So I pretty much just go with the flow and he watches all the things he likes 99% of the time. But sometimes I get the craving to just sit and relax with a show. I always turn to sitcoms I've seen a million times so I don't have to pay much attention. |

Hi I am making healthy food for dinner. This is such a hard weekend. I wish it never had to happen. The kids live on the mainland and we don’t. I miss my son so much. Anyway my dad wants to go to the cemetery which is only a few blocks away.

I am watching the new season of Dead to Me, with my daughter. It's probably not appropriate for her, but that seems to also be a new pandemic tradition. Kid's gonna be traumatized.

I am toasty. I bought bottles of wine instead of boxes for the first time.
I am watching random news, dh is cooking stuff from our garden, one son is studying/playing the harmonica, and the other son is off on a hike with a friend.

It's the fishing opener here tomorrow.
I wish it was warm here!! I think this quarantine will be at least bearable if we can all get out!! Now they are predicting snow tomorrow!!..UGH. I don't think the fishermen will be out there long.
How is the new Dead to me series so far?

How do you make a whiskey sour? and what kind of whiskey do you like? She is 13 so it's not that bad, LOL. I make Jaime Oliver's recipe. 2 parts whisky, 1 part lemon, 1/2 simple syrup and 1/2 egg white. Froth it up. Drink. Repeat. I am using the dregs of my husband's whisky collection, so whatever I find. Tonight is Jack Daniels Honey and it is DELICIOUS. The new Dead to Me is good so far but only a few episodes in. |

I’m already in my bed with my 2 dogs. I wish I had an adult beverage. I’m having a pity party, quite honestly. Feeling bummed about a variety of things- 2020 has sucked and the pandemic is just the cherry on top of it all.
I did make a delicious dinner of salad with chicken, strawberries, avocado, feta, roasted corn, and honey mustard dressing. Took a long shower, shaved lol, and now I’m scrolling. Going to finish the last 2 episodes of Schitt’s Creek, which I’m bummed about being over so I’ve been procrastinating finishing 😂. I hope I have a better attitude tomorrow.

Hey peas! I've been making music with DH for a couple of hours but we've also been bopping right along with the adult beverages. First we finished the pitcher of frozen margaritas we brought home for Cinco de Mayo, and then we moved on to Mexican mules. I find when you start with tequila it's better to stick with tequila than to move on to anything else.  |
