I'm watching season 2 of Dead to Me on Netflix. I absolutely love how Linda Cardellini's character, Judy, dresses. She wears such pretty dresses and it seems like they mostly have sleeves! I love wearing dresses in the summer. I am very cold natured, so I usually wear jeans and sweaters/long sleeve shirts and lots of layers for at least 7-8 months of the year, but during the warm months I prefer dresses or skirts. However I find it really difficult to find cute, flattering casual dresses. Then to add to that I prefer not to wear sleeveless, that makes it even harder. I don't know why so many dresses are sleeveless when so many women are not confident about their upper arms!
I just remembered the main character in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend always wore cute dresses too!
Last year I bought this super cute dress on Amazon. I absolutely loved it. I had to have it altered because I am large busted and short, so I have a lot of my dresses altered. Unfortunately the fabric faded and pilled after one washing! I was disappointed because I found a dress I loved and would have bought several prints/colors if it wasn't such poor quality.
If you have any good sources for cute, casual dresses let me know!

I had the same thought when watching the show. She has such cute, feminine style.
I’ve been on the hunt for a dress for my daughter’s graduation and spotted some cute options with cap and short sleeves at both Loft and Target.

I’ve yet to buy one, but I think the dresses at Draper James are adorable.

I love a good dress casual dress and I will say I will always err on the side of caution because if it comes in black, I'll buy it! If its sleeveless I will usually pair with a colorful cardigan because I am one who normally freezes in the summer with AC in the office.
I have found good ones from Nordstrom, Loft, and J Crew (although again, many are sleeveless so they won't totally fit what you're looking for). I've also seen some cute bold prints at Boden but I haven't bought any yet.
Good luck!

I’ve yet to buy one, but I think the dresses at Draper James are adorable. That’s Reece Witherspoon’s company isn’t it?

The way she dresses seems so late 70s to me. I dressed like that in HS and I do like it, but not for me at 60+.

I never seem to have any luck at Target for some reason, but I do love the Loft.

I too absolutely love Judy’s style. Wish I could pull off those looks. So cute.

I always think of it as a peasant dress, very hippyish. OK, maybe more of a Bohemian look - Annie Cloth

I do think they look great on her! I always hated dresses, but now I hate jeans so I think dresses would be so comfortable!
