Hello,, hope all of you safe and well with all your loved ones ♥️ I have a questions? I am purchasing some cut file when I noticed that there is a choice between SVG and commercial and non what should pick? What is the difference between them? Is SVG important? thank you for your help

I don't know about the SVG, but you only need commercial if you plan on using it on things you would sell.

Yes to what KikiPea said. As for the SVG, if you choose to get the SVG option you can also use that design in other cutters that support SVG files. I always choose that option because I have Sil Portrait and Cricut.

Select non-commercial for personal use & the more expensive commercial option only if you plan to use the image on a product to sell for profit.
Note SVG files cannot be read by Silhouette Studio Basic Edition, only the upgraded versions of the software. You would need to convert the SVG file into a file type the Basic software can open to use it, if you don't have Silhouette Designer, Designer+ or Business Editions.

SVG can be cut on the Cricut Explore and Cricut Maker machines, as well as many other electronic cutters. It is NOT needed for the Silhouette machines.
SVG is avalable because Silhouette is willing to sell their files for using on other machines. Cricut does not want you to cut their designs on anything but a Cricut.
