Please tell me about it. Games only? Entertainment?
I am not into violent games, so is this still a good idea?
Looking more for watching movies if possible

We don't have Oculus, but DS has an Index from Valve. He gets most of his games from Steam. There are so many options out there. We have had a lot of fun with it.

We have one. I didn't realize you could watch movies with it. My son got it for Christmas from his brother - I've only tried it a few times, but it's really cool. I've played a fishing game (which is much more entertaining than it sounds!) and watched some short videos of African Elephants, undersea animals and gliding through canyons. I'll have to play with it some more - thanks for the reminder!

We have the quest and it’s amazing. You can watch movies on it, go on virtual trips, play games, etc. beat saber is a favorite, the Star Wars games are great too. It’s crazy to be standing on a cliff and not want to step off, even though you know it’s not really a cliff!

Nothing around you in every direction.

We have it and use it all the time. My husband has a whole plane simulator set up. We play beat sabre which is a great music game. The kids sometimes watch stories and play designing / drawing games on it.
There's heaps of things to to do that aren't violent at all. We even take it to family parties- people walk the plank etc. It's fun.
