Yes to: In the car if we are getting out or in between stops. Walking outside in the neighborhood
No to: Outside on our property, unless we are talking to a contractor (we had some guys putting up siding on one of our properties).

I wear a mask when walking outside. I haven't been in a car since April 9. I brought a mask then and wore it for grocery pick up. If you're going to take your mask off in the car, make sure you have hand sanitizer after you've handled the mask and before you touch anything else in the car.

Technically we don’t have to wear them in our county unless a store requires them. That said if I’m around people I will wear them. Outside not unless around people or told I have to. For curbside pickup I stay in the car and they open snd shut the trunk. I think if doing drive through I would put one on before I got to the window but not just driving around. Even before the mandate was rescinded you didn’t see people here wearing them outside except maybe in a parking lot. I leave mine on until I’m away from people then off it comes. People here are losing their minds over being asked to wear them snd are now harassing people that are wearing them. It’s really sad. I’m not a fan but will continue to wear while out in public if not able to social distance so in stores. We also still wipe down the stuff we buy. OMG....I am afraid that if anyone harassed me FOR wearing a mask (and I do, but not usually in my car), all of my pent-up Covid-19 rage and frustration would surface in about 3 seconds and I would end up as that day’s favorite Twitter subject. I would honestly lose it....

We wear one to go drop off the trash at the dumpster across the parking lot. We did when we went and got curbside pickup at a local berry farm. We do while refilling gas. I'm sure some people think we are crazy. Don't care. It takes less than 30 seconds. Do not understand the big deal. I definitely do when pumping gas. But the nice thing is I get gas at Costco, so I'm either just coming out of Costco with the mask still on so leave it, or at the Fred Meyer across the street and have just picked up a curbside grocery order. So either way, mask still on.

I’m not going inside places. I do curbside and drive through as much as possible. If I have to run in, it’s for less than 5 minutes and I wear a mask. However, if I’m staying in my car or am in the open air, I don’t wear a mask. Do you? If I go into any store here in NYS we are required to wear one. I do not wear one in my car....even for drive through or curbside. We have been told over and over again--Face covering when you cannot be socially distant.

in the car - only right before getting out/right after getting in - not while travelling.
Outside - on our property - no. Walking across the parking lot to the grocery store - yes. We haven't been outside beyond that but yes, I will be wearing one when we get to that point.
Don't get me wrong - I hate wearing a mask - although it's getting fractionally easier week to week but it still leaves me agitated and feeling vaguely nauseous. But I think it's important.

I do not wear a mask in my car ever, even going through a drive through. I sometimes have it pulled down around my neck if I am getting out of my car to run in someplace.

Aren’t you well within 6 feet when going through a drive through? Granted, it is outside and for a short amount of time. But 6 foot minimum is what I see when they mention social distancing.

I don't wear a mask outside, either in my yard or walking. We have large lots and wide streets, so it's easy to avoid people. Don't wear one for curbside pickup/returns either. I have a large SUV and they put things in the back so they aren't close enough to need one.
I do wear a mask inside stores, but only put the mask on at the door and take it off as soon as I get outside. Part of that is because I need my sunglasses and they won't stay on when I wear a mask. The other part is the heat. We are into summer weather (90+ and high humidity) and the mask is just suffocating in those conditions.

I wear one outside if I am going to be near anyone else. I do wear one in the car, on the way to places but not if I am coming home. I wear it in the car because I prefer to be ready to go once I park. Also, I like to be sure the mask fits comfortably. Sometimes, I have problems because of my eyeglasses, so the short driving time (I stay in my neighborhood) gives me a little bit of time to wear it to make sure the elastic is on good. I'll actually open and close my mouth or sing along with the radio to make sure my mask doesn't pop off. I'd rather it happen in the car than in the store, when I might have to talk to the cashier, etc... Our neighborhood McDonald's actually requires masks when going through the drive-thru.

I don't go to stores at all. I have only been to doctor's offices. I keep a mask in my car to wear when I arrive to the parking lot and park. I did go through drive through w/my ds the other day and I put on a mask and gloves before we got in line.

I put on my mask when I start to get out of the car to go into a store and don't remove the mask until I'm ready to get back into the car. I do not wear it while driving or when going for a walk.

My gf is pregnant, due very soon. They are requiring mothers in labor to wear a mask the entire time! That I think is really overdoing it. My first grandbaby was born a few weeks ago and they did not have to wear masks. At one point, we were even worried if my son would be allowed to be present, but that turned out to never be an issue in their state of Virginia. I do not wear a mask in my car or even while outdoors. Overall, there's less mask-wearing in our area in general. I've only been to one store that required it. (I'm in SC just for clarification - not Virginia)

It straightens when you enlarge it, and I’m so glad I did. He is just lovely. Look at his sweet, serene face. I don’t know if I love those cheeks or that chin more! Congrats Grandma!

No. I do not wear a mask in the car. I wear a mask when going into a small store (I do not go to big stores) and when going to a medical establishment (doctors office or pharmacy).

I only wear one in my car if going thru a drive thru or doing curbside takeout. I wear one when I go into a store, whether it's a grocery store, Target or hardware store. I wear one when I go into the post office every day for my job. I keep my mask hanging around my neck so the few times that I've seen somebody walking towards me on the sidewalk, I pull my mask up while passing them then it comes back down after we pass. They are just way too hot to wear outside all of the time if people aren't around. We were talking at work today about how hot we all are getting wearing them and the things we are noticing - one co-worker has been getting bad headaches, my eyes have been super dry because my breath comes out the top of my masks, etc. I went to Target on Saturday and walked from one end of the store to the other and by the time I was ready to leave I felt like if I didn't get out of there so I could pull off my mask I would soon pass out. There is no way that people are going to wear them this summer.

I don't wear it in the car.
I wear one when I go to any store, drive thru or walk around inside my building (getting mail, laundry room, etc)
When I go for walks, I have one with me and put it on if someone is nearby but I pull it down when no one is site.
I had to go to my office last week and wore it for the entire train ride and until I got out of the train station.

Outside - it depends. We are required to wear masks on public transport or while in stores. If I am leaving my apartment to go to the underground or to any store, I will put it on before I leave the apartment. It's just easier. If I am on the balcony, or going out for a walk - does not involve public transport or a shop - I don't wear it. I had an appointment in the city yesterday and got in far too early and I wore my mask from home onto the train and then into the main plaza. I took it off in the plaza as there were very few people there, but put it on again when I got to my doctor's office.
I don't drive, and haven't been in a car since the end of March, so no experience there.

No but when I take it off as I leave the building to go home I sanitize my hands when I get in the car. I then put everything in the wash when I get home and take a shower. I feel OCD but that is how it is going. I wear one at work but take it off inside my office with my door shut while I video conference. I cannot hear as well as normal when I have a mask on. Not sure why!!
I wonder if we will all get less colds. I hope so because I think I am going to freak out next time I get a cold.

Spongemom Scrappants - so so cute! He is adorable, congratulations! I wore one when I went in my DD's apartment in NYC and I wore one at the gas station (different ones). I have been in one store and I wore one from the time I left the car to the time I got back to the car. I have enough to switch them out. I am surprised at those who wear them in the car. I guess there are reasons, but I'd rather have a few masks. I rarely go out and just do pickup. I do not wear them when someone puts something in my car. Here in VA (we are southern - not Nova), I would say about half the people going in the grocery store wear one. I get to people watch a lot while waiting for groceries!
