Rats. I had the entire thread typed out and then hit the back key. So, I'll start again. Good morning. Tonight I'm making garden salad, pork loin and rice of some sort.
What's on your menu?
I truly enjoyed reading about everyone's accomplishments and positive qualities. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I want everyone to dedicate this week to self-love. That means that you can't beat yourself up or talk down to yourself. If you think a negative thought about yourself then you simply say or think STOP and quickly replace it w/a positive attribute or thought about yourself. You have permission to revel in yourself. Brag away to us and feel good about yourselves. Hey, you're in the tribe. So you must be awesome!

Hi Everyone!
Tonight is my made up chicken recipe.
I really enjoyed reading everyone’s brag. I say that we do it once a week!
I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi, ladies. I just returned from a two mile walk with my dog. She's exhausted. I'm still a little sore. But I am considering trying a small run after work. Lots of stretching this afternoon for sure. I still have one more Home Chef meal from last week. As I ended up going to the farmer's market last night and returning with a cup of soup. And some lobster dip that was quite disappointing. And another Home Chef box arrived this morning. So HOLY MEALS, BATMAN! We are full up on food here.
I treated myself to some pretty knit dresses for summer that were a steal at $12.99 each. They arrived today. I cannot wait to shower and try them on. So pretty. Purple, turquoise, and orange. I much prefer a simple dress in the summer time. And I finally printed the last family album I did digitally which was 2014. And it arrived today. I love it. Seriously, I think I am a better digi scrapper than paper scrapper. I am considering finishing out 2020 pictures (and I'm still working on 2015) in paper and then going back to digital. So versatile it is. Good news is that at least, I'm current with my scrapbooking so I can switch around at my whim and maintain some kind of consistency.
All of you lovely ladies made me happy with your small brags yesterday. I think you are all fantastic women. I am lucky to call you my friends.
What else is up today? I'm kind of over all the Covid talk so I'm avoiding most of the board. I don't want to hear gripes or complaints. I just want coffee style conversation.

Good morning tribe! I also enjoyed reading everyone's brag yesterday. We're a fantastic, multi-faceted group aren't we? Today is sewing day, that is if I ever find my sewing mojo. I'm going on 5 hrs of sleep so it's a bit of a struggle today. Insomnia, combined with weird dreams, then waking up early make for a sluggish GypsyGirl. Pretty sure the weird dreams are a result of eating some leftover chicken stir fry that would have been better tossed than eaten. Anyone else get weird dreams due to foods they eat? Or am I just weird that way?
Dinner tonight will be a tossed salad and some broiled trout. Summer is here in full force so I want light and easy now.

Today has been a mianly at home day for me, though I did go out for a 3km walk this afternoon and a quick trip to the pharmacy as they called to say my new injectable med is in. I have been trying really hard today to be careful with my eating, but now I am cooking dinner and the smell is so tempting.
Dinner is paella, with chicken and chorizo and loads of paprika. It is smelling really good right now, and will be ready in the next 20 minutes or so.

Yay for the tribe!!! The arrows were so impressed with your stories that THEY ALL TOOK BATHS. HOLY COW!!! THAT MAKES THE CHEESE MORE BINDING!!😊
Speaking of cheese that is binding, we are having vegetable quiche and frozen, unlabeled soup. It has turned chilly so we will be cozy and comfy and we had better unfreeze that soup I mentioned.
Thanks for the thread. We will take your advice, oh Great Empress of the Dinner Tribe of Two Peas Refugees. We bow to you!!

Anyone else get weird dreams due to foods they eat? Or am I just weird that way? I have the weirdest dreams. Hands down. And I've never been able to blame it on my food. I've tried that. I've determined that I'm just weird. Last night I dreamed that Jeremy and I went to my parents house (my parents are divorced for many years) and they were still living in the house that I grew up in to show off our motorcycles (big no for me). And my brother was alive and was juggling a bowling ball right near my hog and I was getting pissy with him (which is totally something that would happen) but the weirdest part was that Jeremy was wearing a gold biker outfit. Flashy. Like Evil Kanevil meets Elvis. I have no idea what that whole dream was about. I'm chalking it up to a visit from my brother who is bothered by the fact that he isn't around to annoy us anymore. Dinner is paella, with chicken and chorizo and loads of paprika. It is smelling really good right now, and will be ready in the next 20 minutes or so. Oh, yum. Does this sound good to me!

Ex is coming over with dd#2 any minute ... we have to go and renew our license plates ... my car is currently registered in his name only so we want to make a change into my name since it's mine now ... the truck is in both our names so we are going to take my name off of it ... so many changes when you separate I have no idea what I'll have for dinner tonight ... could be my fav brie, proscuitto and melba rounds

leannec, I know of a few couples who divorced and are friends. Despite the statistics that say otherwise, it's very possible. You might be able to continue the civil relationship w/your stbxh and that would be great for all of you. It sounds like you're both handling this well and working together, so far. I hope for the best. You deserve peace in your life. jeremysgirl, purple and turquoise are my favorite colors. Enjoy your pretty new dresses. I firmly believe that eating certan foods at night will cause weird dreams. I could never eat fruit past 7pm or I'd have crazy, wild dreams. Dh won't eat or drink anything w/sugar after 8pm or his dreams are toast.

Beef stew is one of my favorite meals even with the red meat. But no one else in my house likes it. It’s so cold & rainy here that it would be a perfect day for it. I’m thinking of trying Martha Stewart’s cannelini beans and greens soup or stew.

My vote would be take out.

I have some cheap steaks marinating that I will grill later. We will probably have baked potatoes and some salad.
I have a bunch of errands to run today. Not looking forward to it but it has to be done.
I too enjoyed reading yesterdays thread.

I am having a lucyg special of leftover Costco chicken and a slab of ribs. I have vegetables to roast and I am too lazy to make rice or pasta. Today we are going to a nice vegetable market in the country. That is our big activity.

Change in plans on dinner. Opened the fridge and realized I'd already thawed some ground beef for taco salads. So taco salads for dinner. I was half right! I'm chalking it up to a visit from my brother who is bothered by the fact that he isn't around to annoy us anymore. You win for weirdest dream! Also, by "hog" I assume you mean a motorcycle and not the four legged kind. If it is the animal hog, then your dream just went to another entire level of weirdness!

So the smoke detector is going off outside my bedroom and the ladder is too awkward for me to successfully carry down the stairs. There are also 9’ ceilings which terrify me. This is a problem! My dad can’t do it. I can’t sleep down there with that chirping noise every few minutes. I am stuck!

Just got home from a Walmart/Trader Joe's/Costco run. It was heaven! All three stores were the least crowded I've ever seen! And I bought some Costco toilet paper which I love. Charmin's is too thick and people tend to use too much. And I got gas at Costco, no line!
I have always had very weird dreams. A lot of them involve trying to find a bathroom. Very strange. I also frequently have very vivid dreams of my mom, dad and sister. Most people don't remember their dreams but I do.
ETA: Oh, spaghetti and meatballs for dinner!

I have been having majorly weird dreams lately but I think it’s just life right now. Everything is off and it’s creeping into my sleep.
Tonight I’m making sour cream chicken enchiladas with guacamole. I could eat a bucket of guacamole just for dinner probably. Lol

So nice that we are all still basking in the glow of yesterday's thread. It's a pleasure to come see each of you everyday, but yesterday was indeed special.
Just back from the hospital where DH had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. It took a little time to bring him out of sedation, so we were there for nearly 4 hours. Of course I wasn't allowed in the hospital, but fortunately it's a beautiful day and I could sit in my car, listen to the radio, and read. I also ran a near by errand. There are a couple concerning things in the endoscopy, so he'll see the doctor next week.
Dinner will be hamburgers on the grill for DH and some fruit/cheese/crackers for me.
Let's keep the good vibes going here. Like so many of you, I'm steering clear of hysteria and pessimism.

Dinner tonight will be chicken fajitas and rice. I'm another one that enjoyed reading yesterday's thread. I didn't participate because dh working from home, practically in the same room, makes it difficult for me to think. My ability to form complete sentences is severely comprimised these days. (how was I able to talk coherently in this post, you ask? He's taking a bathroom break. ) Change in plans on dinner. Opened the fridge and realized I'd already thawed some ground beef for taco salads. So taco salads for dinner. I was half right! I have the weirdest dreams. Hands down. Dh was golfing right after work this morning which means he will probably sleep right through dinner until its time to get up for work again. Ds is working from 1 to 9 so we are having grilled cheese and potato chips. Everyone can make their own when they are ready.
I had really weird dreams when I was pregnant but most of the time I can't remember them at all.
Have a great day all. I have to go check out yesterday's thread as it seems like I missed a good one.

Dinner plans are up in the air as we're waiting to see when our sod will arrive. It could be today, in which case we'll work until dark getting as much down as possible and then grab a pizza from the place just outside the neighborhood. If it's tomorrow, I'll cook roasted tomato pasta...because it's quick and easy and we like it a lot.
We're getting sod through a friend, and I dreamed last night that he brought the wrong kind of grass. We kept it, not because we wanted that grass but because we didn't want to inconvenience the friend. Now I'm worried about what kind of grass will be on the trailer when it arrives.

You assumed motorcycle, but my mind went in the animal direction and got stuck there until your post. You're right. It truly is whole new level of weirdness. Actually, the first time reading her post, I also thought it was a four legged hog. Then I started thinking about it and thought maybe she meant a motorcycle since she'd mentioned that earlier in the post. Either way, a weird dream!

That was a nightmare. Me taking the ladder I will drop it as I can barely lift it. Also 9’ ceilings terrify me. My dad thought he would do it. He cannot do the stairs give me a break. Him carry the ladder too? So I have a large problem.
