* I am using PSE18 and an Epson Pm 400*
When I edit a photo through PSE & send it to my PM 400, it will print with a white border, even though I am selecting 4x6 borderless for it to print to.
If I save the photo to my computer and send it to my PM 400, it will automatically print borderless.
What am I doing wrong in PSE that it prints with a border, despite me selecting 4x6 borderless?

Can you post a screenshot of your printer settings in PSE?

The same thing happens when I use Picasa, I think I checked to make it not borderless for some reason and that worked? I will look tomorrow afternoon to see what I did if you don’t have an answer by then.

Are you sure that your settings are set to 'actual size' and not 'fit' in PSE? Or 100% on width and height - not sure what terminology they use in PSE.
That's the only thing I can think of that would be causing you this issue, but it does seem unlikely as you'd have to have changed those settings at one point.

Can you post a screenshot of your printer settings in PSE? I will head up stairs in a bit and pull it up.

Interesting — my PSE print window doesn’t look like that.
I have the drop down menu to choose the size and then I have to click more options to change to borderless or not. What happens when you click MORE OPTIONS?

mom I can’t do it right now because the printer freaks my cat out very badly and I just got her back in the scrapbook room after last weeks printing terror, but in Picassa I have to uncheck borderless to make it print without borders, which makes absolutely no sense, but maybe give it a try?

OK tried that. Still prints with a white border. I also tried saving it to my desktop. If I save it in PSE and use the Epson app for my iMac, it prints no border. So the issue is somewhere in PSE. I don't really want to have to save everything then print, but maybe thats just what I will have to do.

Now I may be miles off here but...
As far as I understand, for it to print borderless, the printer driver has to resize the photo to make the crop or image larger.
That’s what I think the issue is - you have print size ‘6x4’ and that seems to be overriding the borderless option - leaving the white border.
It’s printing it how it would if you didn’t have the option of borderless on your printer.

Well, that just stinks, what a nuisance.

Click more options. Your PSE is set to borderless, but is your printer?
Okay forget the more options. lol Is there somewhere from PSE to see/change your printer settings? Mine is different looking than yours too. I have an advanced option that takes me to my printer settings. If that does not say borderless it will have a border.
