I have been out of scrapping a while and think the Hermafix was discontinued? Will the EK Tools dotto refill still fit the old dispensers?

Was it? I'm sorry. I stopped using Hermafix when they changed their applicator to that weird shaped one. Before that I used it for years, and I mean years-as far back as 1985!
Anyway for the last year or so I've been very happily using the tape runner products from 3L called Scrapbook Adhesives. They come in 4 different versions-one respositonable dots, one permanent tabs, one tiny sliver permanent pieces and one for vellum. I get the kind with the runner that looks like the old CM tape runner-not the new "Stik" version runners-in fact I've heard that this is the same company that made the adhesive for CM. I buy mine from scrapbook.com. You can even get a set of all 4 or just one at a time. Anyway, I've been very happy with the results. I hope that helps.

Yes it will. I got some when I couldn't find anything else and it worked in the dispenser that I hadn't thrown out.

I get my refills from scrapbook pal. I do not think they have been disconitnued. I just bought a bunch the other day.
Oh, I see you mean since EK tools BOUGHT herma - yes it is basically the same product. Early on they tried to change up the formula or something but it is normal now. The newest version comes in a pink box. That said, I was committed to the original dispenser but I have now fallen in love with the new design since my husband bought me one 'by mistake.' It goes on clockwise instead of counterclockwise and seems to roll easier.

Same product just under EK Success brand. Couldn't scrap without my dots!

Yes...I have both the old and new style dispensers and the new refills fit the old ones just fine.
