Today I spent about 4 hours going through my 2016-2018 albums fixing some pages where the tape dried up and the pages needed to be fixed. What a pain! It was disappointing to see that some of the tapes I bought from Tuesday Morning did not hold up. Hopefully the tape I use now will hold up better. Thank goodness that I did not have to redo all the pages but I had to fix at least 20-30. Did it happen to you that you had to go back and do some repairs to your old pages? The silver lining is I looked through all my albums again and it brought up some great memories all over again.

I've had the odd page that I've had to re-do, but thankfully nothing on the scale you've just had. It's probably one of the main reasons I've stuck with the old double sided squares for my adhesive as I've never had any issues with things falling off. I'm glad you could at least see the silver lining in getting to relive the memories all over again.

Anything I used a Zig glue pen on had to be fixed... ATG tape seems to be holding up OK.

Yes! I flicked through some older albums last week and saw quite a few places where tape had dried up, things slipped off/around and a brown tape streak left behind. At some point I'll go back and fix them. Probably when I eventually do a big sort and organise of my pages and albums.

Every once in a while when looking through an album, I find something askew or at the bottom of the page protector and i add more tape/glue.
Nowadays, I tend to use two types of adhesive for everything i stick down. I figure that if the double sided tape fails, the drop of liquid glue will hold, or vice versa. What're the odds of both kinds of adhesive failing on the same page?😀

Nothing from my old Creative Memories days has come unstuck - they really were great quality.
The only issues I've had, really, are thickers coming off. I have one mini album that just won't keep the title on - my son made it when he was 9 - so I constantly have to pick up letters from the shelf it sits on it and stick them back on. Right now I have about 6 letters that I have to get around to gluing on again, I'm just letting them pile up.

Sounds like I need to look through my albums.
I’m curious as to what tape from TM you had used that was falling off? Was it like Scor-Tape, Red line tape? Or the kind in it’s own little dispenser, or something else?
The only adhesive I’ve bought from Tuesday Morning was like Scor-Tape and Red line tape. I’ve mostly used that for cards, though.

They were little colored dispensers, red and green. Some tape was “dotted”. I did not have issues with double sided scor tape, it holds up well. Also I used old-fashioned squares in my repair work because those guys are reliable.

And I had the opposite problem a few weeks ago. I decided to reorganize some of my old CM albums which the pages were done directly on the CM page. Taking those apart we’re so hard but I got it done only to realize that at some point CM changes their page sizes so I have album pages that don’t match up 🤦🏼♀️ I give up and I’m just leaving it

Vellum tape. Over time, the "clear" adhesive yellows and you can see it through the vellum.

Vellum tape. Over time, the "clear" adhesive yellows and you can see it through the vellum. Happened to me in the past. Now I only glue the velum part that is under pictures. It’s harder with vellum embellishments as scor tape or any other tape can be seen through. I love the look of vellum embellishments but do not buy them very often and use stapler if I can...

I consistently use ATG, score tape, or scotch or liquid glue. I always glue down chipboard thickers.

I have had a few pages that I had to fix but I think it was my fault since I was skimping on the amount of tape I was putting on (perimeter only). I’m a little more generous with it now. However I’ve had a lot of problems with the old Heidi Swapp chipboard letters. Whatever glue they put on them did not hold well at all. Now I just use one of my own adhesives on everything.

I use zig pens glueing die cuts together, that I put in baby albums to give away. I really hope they do not come unglued, as the are gifts and I really would not know.

Yep- resticking thickers....grrrrrrrrrrr I ALWAYS use extra glue on these. The only ones that seem to stick for me are the foam ones. It's bad enough when the chipboard ones are at the bottom of the package - I can't handle that!
