I don't know if it is the pie or the pudding. Do you have a favorite recipe? Which one do you prefer (the pie or the pudding)?

We like Paula Dean’s Not Yo Mama’s banana pudding. It calls for Pepperidge farms chessman cookies but you can substitute the vanilla wafers. If you google it will come up on several sites.

Banana pudding is awesome. Do you want a cooked recipe with meringue or an easy one that you pop in the fridge? Either is delicious but I prefer the meringue version.

I make it the easy way. I use a vanilla pudding mix, the kind that you cook on the stove, not the instant kind. I slice up bananas, get out the vanilla wafers, cook the pudding and then layer the three in a bowl. You put as much bananas and wafers in as you like. My hubby loves banana pudding and this is the way he likes it.

I was asked to bring banana pudding for a family dinner, and told to make this one! LOL! I was skeptical but OMGosh! it was so good.

Meringue is not difficult and you're at an advantage living in a dry climate. Humidity makes it tough.

I made this Wednesday night for nephew's birthday... it was a HIT, I did use Nilla Wafers, and left off the whipped topping. No one knew it was not actual banana pudding or that it had cream cheese in it.

Paula Dean’s, mentioned above, is the most delicious because it uses the Chessman cookies. Please do not substitute vanilla wafers. 😋
