Is it not a thing anymore?
I usually order my refills from Amazon, but I only see one seller. J's doesn't have any on their website either.
I actually need a new "machine" since my DS broke the part off the cutting part (I know I can use scissors) and can't find any to buy.
Tell me they haven't stopped making them, it's my go-to for sticking down die cut titles!

Everywhere has been out of stock on them. I'm sure that has something to do with things being slower to ship from China, or the manufacturer. I managed to snag a 6 pk refill from sb.com. I had done the notify me email when it was back in stock. The day after they got a shipment they were out of stock again. It seems to be a hot ticket right now.

Pine City Scrapbooking Company says they have it in stock: Xyron X Sticker Maker. It's a little pricier on their site than I would normally pay, but they were reliable the one and only time (so far) that I have ordered from them.

I really don't use my X anymore. For intricate designs and title die cuts I use those double-sided adhesive sheets they sell. I like them soooo much better. No size limits either. Like these: Double sided sheets at SB.com

I don't know how widely used they are by scrapbookers these days, but they're popular in the diamond painting community. People will cut out the inventory sheet, run them through the xyron and then cut them down and label the containers. It could explain why there seems to be more interest than in years past, beyond the delays from China...which is definitely a thing in every industry.

Like these: Double sided sheets at SB.comOK, I'm half-sold. How do they work? Do you stick the uncut cardstock to the sticker sheet and then cut, or cut the shapes first and stick them to the sheet with the sticky stuff on it? ETA: I did read the description at SB.com but was confused by step #1...

You peel back one side, stick it to your cardstock, run it through your die cut machine and tada, sticker!
I'd be curious to know the cost efficiency between the two options. Both seem quite a bit more expensive for what you get versus a roll of double sided adhesive that you could theoretically lay down in strips across the back of your cardstock. I say theoretically because it's probably a lot harder to do that than lay something already flat onto something else already flat.

I personally will go with SB.com because it works perfectly fine and it is cheaper. No difference in the product despite how much Jennifer hypes Sizzix. I just cut out enough to fit my die, so no waste. There is no need to cut out a big rectangle like she did.

Yeah you could do that, but for me it is for the convenience and better adhesion of intricate die cuts. I am willing to pay a little more for that. Like I posted above, I cut mine to the size of the die, so no waste. I don't use it for sticking down stuff where a few strips will do. I use my ATG for that kind of stuff.

I have the Sizzix brand adhesive sheets I won years ago at a crop and wasn't sure what to do with it. Thanks for posting the video! Now I'll actually use it. OK, I'm half-sold. How do they work? Funny that this thread is here, I was JUST looking for an "X" and refills! I got rid of mine forever ago when I quit scrapbooking and now that I'm back at it, I wanted one to use for the letters that I cut with my Cricut, gluing every letter take forever!!
