So I was about to pull the trigger and order the Avery Elle envelopes for my stamp storage, as it is out of control. We are talking 20 years of stamps, lol. But I looked closer and did not see that they had any kind of insert? They are just the envelope? What about dorks like me who took their stamps out of all the packaging (inc the acetate sheet) and put them in CD cases and now DEEPLY regret that??
Anyway, does anyone have an recommendations for stamp storage envelopes that come with an insert to "cling" the stamps on to? I looked at TH ones and I don't really like them as I want to keep the sets in their own envelope if that makes sense.
Thanks!

@kendramage - The only ones I can think that come with a backer are the Stamp Market ones - thestampmarket.com/product-category/stamp-organization/Nice looking but may work out more expensive depending on how many you need to buy. I have the Avery Elle envelopes and just use cheap cardstock as a backer together with Duralar sheets (available from Amazon) where I don't have the acetate that the stamp came on.

Highly recommend. I bought these thinking that I would like to make some shakers but I really sucked at it, lol. Eventually I confirmed they were acid free and decided to use them to back some of my stamps (older ones from Technique Tuesday grab bags and my 2013 and older Cocoa Daisy kits) that had an acetate top but something like Saran wrap on the back.
I also remove the back acetate on 2x3 stamps and cut down a 3x4 piece of the acetate and will often attach 2 2x3 sets to it so I can maintain the black printed imagery on the front but make them easier to store in my stamp pockets (basically, so they don't slide into each other).
I use the cheapie cardstock from Michael's often, but I just recently discovered a 12x12 set from Hobby Lobby that has 100 sheets of white cardstock and it's often on sale for $9.99...I needed it then and it wasn't on sale that week so used a coupon to make it $11.99. I then batch process the inserts for whatever pocket I'm out of them for. The only size I don't really use an insert for is my 6x8 stamps...those I just use the inserts from the stamps themselves.

I could not get those Duralar sheets to work. They were recommended years ago on another thread. When I used them my clear stamps kept falling off. Is there more than one type?

Not sure about more than 1 type. I use the .005 clear film and haven't had any trouble with photopolymer stamps falling off. It may be that some of your stamps are losing their stickiness a bit - maybe a wash in water and dishwashing liquid would help?

I had a similar situation and used badge holders. I happened to have a few from concert/sport tickets, then I ordered a box from Amazon. badge holdersI don't know what happened on price, it was about $30 when I ordered. I also use Georgia Pacific cardstock or leftover cardstock from other packaging to slip into the pockets to make it easier to slide.

I put my stamps on binding covers from Amazon, then put them into page protectors in a zippered binder. I can also cut the binding covers and use them for shaker windows, so they get double duty. Binding covers

I crazy love the Stamp Market system. I have no need for it, but if I did I would be going that route. So pretty!
