For those of you that missed out on the first round of this - She is opening up a second group, for the same set of sketches. You can join the second group from Sept 1-28th. Working through the sketches starts in OCT. She's got a post on her blog, with the particulars. I'm link challenged, but her blog is www.allisondavis4sg.com She gives so much information and so many sketch variations, worth well more than the $12 for the sketch pack. I like that she is doing this. There were quite a few people who missed out on the first round. There have been so many layouts uploaded on FB, it is hard to see them all.

I am not on fb, but I paid for the sketches this morning, so I have them saved to my "sketch & page plan" file. Also downloaded the sketchbook for boy pages.

I have to say that this was one of my all time favorite classes. I have actually kept up with it. The value for $12 is amazing. Every week she does a video and 3 printable handouts. I have been printing out all the pdfs and have a notebook with the class materials. The shared album with everyone's layouts is amazing. People take these sketches in all different ways.

It might be worth it to make a fb account just for the class if you like sketches. Every week Allison posts a pdf of optional sketches if the original sketch doesn’t work for you.

I've never used sketches, but I'm having a hard time getting started on a 12x12 travel album where I intend to have all 2-page layouts. I had never heard of Allison Davis (since I never thought I had an interest in sketches), but I just looked her up on YouTube. I've gone through a couple of her "Scrapbooking Sketch Support" videos, and I'm in awe of how much information and novel ideas she shares on each one. Also, if the sketch is a single page, she shows how to make it into a 2-page layout and vice versa. My favorite so far is the pattern paper "sunburst" in layout #3 in this video, which includes detailed info on how she creates the pattern to make the double-page sunburst. If she shares this much info on a free video, I can't wait to take this class. Thanks for sharing, joyfulnana!

I agree, I’m about 2 weeks behind in the class, but it has been a wealth of information and inspiration. She’s mentioned doing a one page sketch class, and I don’t even do many one page layouts and I’m thinking about taking it!

I know some people who sign up on FB under a different name just to join craft groups. This would be one of those classes that would be worth it.

Thanks for sharing this! 95% of my LOs are one pagers so I'd be really interested in this class.

So much information.

I have loved her sketches. I worked ahead a bit and I think I only have 3 I haven’t tried. Given the number of 6x6 paper pads I have, I could do all the the sketches several more times!

For those of you new to Allison's sketches, her family's scrapbook store, Scrapbook Generations, has loads of free sketches for download on their website. All of their sketch books are available for digital download also. I have binders full of sketches from them and use them every time I scrap.

I bought her books and then decided to organize the books by number of photos on a page. I made copies and have them in binders. I love her books. A friend of mine bought the first one when they first came out and we had the best time using that book. She has a few card books that I didn't buy, but I am pretty sure I have all of the rest.
