Okay, so I can't say that I have a current favorite anymore. I'm pretty much shopping around at this point.
It seems like all of my favorite Scrapbook Kit Clubs have changed into something that I don't recognize anymore.
Do you know of any kit clubs that sell 12x12 kits anymore? Everywhere I see these stellar Travelers Notebooks, and those are soooo cute and stylish, but I am still living very much in the world of traditional 12x12 scrapbooking, and I don't want to change. The photos I print are mostly 4x6, and I utilize more than one photo on layouts most of the time.
So my favorite kit clubs were Citrus Twist Kits, Gossamer Blue, Studio Calico and Scraptastic Kit Club. There was a short time where I subbed to more than one at a time and served as guest designer before, but I took a hiatus from kit clubs during and after grad school. I'm back in the business of churning out layouts again, and I want to keep up with the now and great scrapbook collections, but I love when they are cultivated for me.
Things is... I looked up Scraptastic, and they are gone..... sad day. I looked up Gossamer Blue, and they are gone. Studio Calico doesn't look like it used too, and I'm pretty sure I didn't see a scrapbook kit with them, and after doing some digging I found that Citrus Twist Kits has a traditional scrapbook kit, but it doesn't come with the same amount of paper (pattern/cardstock) that it used to, which is a bummer.
Maybe I just have high expectations...
Do you subscribe to a kit club? What is your favorite now? Why? Do you still do traditional scrapbooking? Have you changed your style to Travelers Notebooks or purely Project Life style documenting?
Tell me about your experiences, I would love to know.
Update 06/08/20:
Current Clubs that offer Traditional 12x12 Scrapbook Kits
Hip Kit Club
Embellishment Kits
Traveler's Notebooks/Project Life/Planner
Citrus Twist

I miss the old 12x12 sb kit clubs. In the past I subbed to Cocoa Daisy, Studio Calico, Scraptastic kits (not all at the same time ), and they were great for a decent sampling of paper, cardstock, and embellishments. I am doing a huge purge/reorganization of my supplies so I can scrap more of what I have, and I had quite a few old kits that I had never used--wow, those old kits used to be chock full of paper and embellishments compared to kits today! And now the 12x12 kits are really hard to find. In addition to the kits you mentioned, I think The Scrap Room still offers 12x12 kits, but I can't think of any others offhand. I will be watching this thread

I will be watching this thread OOh, I'll look them up. I'm not familiar with that brand. It is such a travesty that the kits are quite as fluffy as they used to be. It makes me less apt to subscribe to another kit club because the cost remained the same or it's gone up, but for less product. I understand that probably has a lot to do with inflation as well as the lack of traditional scrapbookers in the world.
I have a couple of old kits that I've kind of hoarded away for when I got to a crop eventually. Do people still go to crops even? I used to host them at my house and often times at local free places (fire stations, Kroger meeting rooms, church party rooms, etc). Nowadays, I'm not sure people crop together anymore.

I've subbed in a few over the years (Studio Calico, Gossamer Blue, Felicity Jane, Cocoa Daisy) and I'm currently subscribed to Hip Kit Club. I only do 12x12 layouts and I'm not particularly interested in other formats. It seems that retail prices have gone up in the last 3-5 years on individual items, so it's not surprising that kit club offerings aren't as plentiful as they may have been while trying to keep their prices steady at the same time. For example, 6x6 paper pads used to be $5, now they are $6-7. 12x12 chipboard sticker sheets were like $4, now they are $6. Crazy. One thing I like about HKC is there is no cardstock included in the main kit. I rarely use anything other than white, and that is easy enough to come by on my own. I appreciate my kit value coming from patterned paper and embellishments and not cardstock. They have add-on kits if you are someone that really wants coordinating cardstock, wants extra embellishments not included in the main kit (I get this sometimes), or wants some mixed media goodies. Another thing I subscribe to monthly is the Scrapbook Cards & Today (SCT) Sampler. It's not a kit in the traditional sense, but more of a taste test. Each month contains bits and bobs from some new collections/manufacturers. This is my absolute favorite happy mail I receive. People definitely still do crops! It may depend on where you live, but where I am (So Cali), the retreat and crop scene is very active (although it's been paused since March).

I subscribe to HipKit( love) also SCT Sampler, that runs around 12 a month and I also subscribe to Elle’s Studio monthly kit( around 10 a month). I’m very happy with all 3. I miss the days of Willow Traders and kit clubs on every corner lol!

I really miss the SC scrapbook kit--I liked the pattern paper (most of the time...) because it was so different from what every mainstream line offers. It got me to stretch myself out of my comfort zone. Every time a kit post like this pops up I look at the different offerings and decide that they are not worthwhile to me because there's so much pink/flowers/girlie stuff.
I've gotten a lot of the Not Just for Boys kits since they debuted last year. I wish they had more exclusives (especially paper) but it's not not having to search out boyish supplies. It's too bad they weren't around 10 years ago when my boys were 2 & 5 because some of the kits have been perfect for that age. However, I'm happy they are here now and will happily support a kit club that isn't predominately pink/flowers/girlie.

Not a scrapbook kit but I used to be subbed to Kelly Purkey. Sadly, she is closing up shop so I recently signed up for Citrus Twist Kit.

At one time when everyone was still doing 12x12 I subscribed to Citrus Twist, Cocoa Daisy, and HipKits. Yes, at one point all 3 at once. I had a problem. I loved, loved, loved Cocoa Daisy. I was so sad when they stopped doing 12x12. I'm using every last precious thing out of those kits. Their exclusive watercolor papers were so pretty. I tried subbing to their "project life" style kit for a while but it just wasn't the same. Now the only kit club I buy from is {Not} Just for Boys. I buy at least one kit from them every month, sometimes 2 or 3. I'm doing everything I can to keep them in business. I want to subscribe to another club but I haven't found one that I like. The last time I looked Clique Kits was still in business.

I like Not Just For Boys as well.
I miss Gossamer Blue a whole lot, the last few months when they had IACB designing for them was amazing.

I just across this today from A Cherry On Top: The Cherry BoxNot a 12x12 but more like a random set of crafty items. Never had seen that one before. There is a link on there so you can see past kits. Although the reviews are not so great, but on the other hand they can't please everyone at the same time.

One of these kit clubs has the multiple sets of papers (4) per order. I can't remember which one, but each set of papers has a few embellishments to go with it. I would go with that one if I was searching for a kit. That way you would have many choices.

The only 12 x 12 club that I currently sub to is My Creative Scrapbook - lots of matching embellishments and papers. Very reasonably priced, the only downfall for me is that there is no cardstock.

I subscribe to Not Just For Boys kit club. I usually buy one of the add on kits as well. I have been very happy with them so far. One thing I like are the cut files that are already cut for those of us without machines.
The add ons sell out quick but I am always up late so I check the site as soon as they go live.

I subscribed to FJ for almost a year, beautiful papers , kits but I felt I was missing out on other new releases( darn budget lol) so I’m happy I switched to HipKit, if I could afford both I certainly would.

This was the first sub I ever did many years ago now (like SEI, Basic Grey and Scenic Route days!) and it was really well run. Their kits seem a little complicated to assemble and I never had a single issue. Only reason I haven't ever joined again is the lines they feature are generally a little more mainstream for my taste i.e. I rarely purchase Echo Park or Simple Stories so it's hard to sub when they feature a fair amount. I would consider it just for the coffee sample - that was such a treat, I'd brew it up right away and go through my kit. And for the price, I think their kit goes a long way.

They're an Australian company. I think their monthly kits are fairly new. I almost literally drooled at the beautiful thick and smooth quality of their papers. I think the monthly kits are really great value for what is included in the kits. I subbed to FJ for nearly 2 years but cancelled just recently with everything going on. I would love to sub again one day. Hip Kit really appeals to me but I just don't have the budget for it right now.

EuroPeas have multiple options all around. Most ship nationally, however. Scrapdelight's DLS Design kits are still going strong from what I can tell. They're offering a scrap kit with a 6x8 paper pad nowdays, a Project Life kit, an embellishment kit as well as a stamp kit. All designs are exclusive, I believe. A look at their July 2020 kit: Andrea Bethke's Fairytale Club kits are also still happening, apparently. All designs are exclusive. There's a 12x12 scrapbook kit as well as a planner kit. Here's her new Together Apart (quarantine) kit:

I used to subscribe to Noel Mignon's kit club. They were sort of pricey, but really nice with a good variety. I get the Elle's Studio kit now. I like the designs and the kits are useful, but I miss getting 12x12 papers.

I never subscribed. I always just bought a kit I liked.
Lately though, HipKit is soooooo the same and too girly for me. I need stuff I can use for ds. Dd is girly but even I like to use non girly stuff for her at times.
I get tired of the same colors too.

I could never bring myself to spend so much each month. I looked them up, and it looked like they closed down in 2018. What a major bummer.
I did go ahead and update the list with some clubs that folks have mentioned as well as some others I found on instagram and through online searches.

I really loved Citrus Twist back in the day when they offered pattern paper and card stock. I always felt that they had ecclectic paper offerings, and it would force me to thing outside of the box as far as crafting. Same with Studio Calico, their stuff was super unique to me. I loved the colors they mixed with and felt they looked great for boy or girl or family or whatever... layouts.
Now I'm trying to find something that doesn't always look the same. If I had the extra money and I knew people would subscribe, I would set up my own kit club. Being a shop owner is seriously my dream.

12x12 scrapping hasn't died, it's just no longer trendy with the online set. I live in the Midwest and we still have crops and pretty much every one is either scrapping 12x12 double layouts with lots of pictures, doing Project Life or making cards. I attend 3 day crops about 3 times a year at my LSS and 12x12 has not gone anywhere.
ETA: I've had discussions with other attendees at crops, and I'd say at least half had never heard of companies/trends we see online. At least a quarter have never heard of Project Life (and wouldn't consider it scrapbooking). I don't live in the backwoods, we have classes with current designers (Ken Oliver, Diana Reavely/Dina Wakely, Taylored Expressions, Gina K). The younger set (30's with small children) is more savvy to current trends, but they still scrap 12x12 from what I see.

Not a scrapbook kit but I used to be subbed to Kelly Purkey. Sadly, she is closing up shop so I recently signed up for Citrus Twist Kit. Same. I was really sad to see Kelly close up shop, and recently subbed to Citrus Twist, which I like a lot so far. I am hoping that in future the owner mixes up the color palettes a bit, maybe some kits with more primary colors and less pink/aqua.
