Ok, the May OLW assignment is: we are going to look through the lenses of our cameras (phone cameras are perfect) to see where our word is working in our lives. My word is RELEASE (focusing on releasing stress, anxiety). And honestly, release didn't really show up for me. I didn't go many places, life was pretty slow. In fact, the only thing I can think of that I 'released' is I remained calm when DS2 told us he is enlisting.
So, with all of that. What would you use to represent a ho-hum month, where I didn't really find ways to 'release' anything? Nothing seems to come to mind, and honestly, I just want to find my photo so I can move on to June.

Maybe release the idea that you have to do anything at all and move on?
Or a selfie and some journaling about what you said above? Or a pretty nature picture and a note about that.
I feel like if a prompt doesn’t speak to you it’s ok to note that and move on. Or use a prompt from a previous year in its place. It’s supposed to be helpful and work for you, not homework to please AE or whoever. It’s your album though, so I guess you should do what feels right now and what will feel/look right if you revisit the album in the future.

I will use a nature photo I have and just make it work. I was wanting it to be perfect and I should probably 'release' that expectation on me.

I usually look back at my pictures for the year so far, not just the month, when I do this prompt. Maybe you can find some from earlier in the year.

There you go - use release your expectation of perfection as your layout theme.
