Yes, only Door Dash, though. Our local Italian chain used to have their own drivers. We would order from them for delivery, but I think because we live not too far from them (horrible parking issues so we won't pick up) we were last on their delivery schedule and our food would not be delivered warm. Then they switched to a partnership with Door Dash, same delivery fee and our food is hot when it arrives! Any mistakes are the restaurants fault. They pack the food in large bags that are stapled shut, so I don't worry about the driver handling the food. We have them put the food on a bench on the porch and we know they are here because our dog lets us know!
Our local paper did a story on delivery services and I found out Grub Hub was charging local restaurants up to 30% and when I went to their site and tested an order, they added 15% to my order for their costs. I won't use them.

No. We have been doing takeout once a week for the last 12 weeks but we pick it up. The whole reason for us doing takeout is to support local businesses. By using a delivery service we are taking away from the restaurants bottom line.
It has been my experience that most drivers are incredibly rude. They rush into the restaurant bud to the front of the line even if there are people outside and are very demanding to the staff. I get that more deliveries equals more money but seriously wait your frikkin turn

I normally order from restaurants that deliver so I don't have to pay an uncharge for the food and a delivery fee. I do takeout about once a week and pick it up myself.

Nope. Never. I don't think I should have to pay someone else to bring me food when we can go out and pick it up ourselves and be assured that the driver won't eat the food or contaminate it in some way.

Never. For me, it feels like a slippery slope. I’d never cook again ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg) I have only order food once so far during the pandemic. That was pizza and salads that I picked up and took over to a friend’s place maybe 3 weeks ago. We enjoyed lunch together, socially distant, in her garden.

Never. We just go pick it up ourselves. There are only a few restaurants that we like for takeout (Thai, BBQ, and one other.) Their food is always hot and fresh. I had no idea that restaurants had different prices for dine in or takeout. The ones we go to are the same prices and same portions.

Other places, like Tex Mex, you get all the chips, salsa, and tortillas you can eat for no charge when you dine in, but have to pay for all that when you do take out.

I have never had a restaurant change portions or prices for take out either as long as you call the restaurant directly. Obviously if you use a third party there is an extra charge, but that is not on the restaurants. Not anywhere I have lived in any event, I think that is just one person’s experience.

It depends on the restaurant every time, but I can name several places that actually go overboard with the delivered chips and salsa!

I have only used DoorDash once when I was too hungover to drive to pick up food and my order was messed up, so I’ve never used it again. I have checked it out a few times since but it is too much of a mark up to justify using it. You end up paying $30+ for a meal you can get for $15 if you pick it up yourself or eat in.
