How do you deal with facial hair? I've always had some, but after menopause, 53 now, it seems to have greatly increased especially the peach fuzz along jaw line. I pluck some of the dark hairs, but getting harder to see them. Friend recommended derma-planing but not sure about that. One treatment is $65 and then recommended every 4-6 weeks. Thanks,

I don’t worry too much about the soft peach fuzz (mine is blonde so it’s not horribly noticeable, I don’t think) but those stiff goat hairs send me straight over the edge! I can feel them beginning to poke out before I can see them and it drives me insane. I ferret them out mercilessly. I always thought if you plucked out a hair it wouldn’t come back for a long time, but those little beasts seem to regenerate every week or two and always in the same place. What’s up with that?
And on a related note, the one super long, coarse, weird, half brown / half gray grandpa eyebrow hair also makes me crazy. Even though my brows are thinning, any crazy ones just have to GO. I pluck that sucker too.

I have two whiskers on my chin that I pluck. I also have longish "mustache" hairs on the corners of my mouth and I shave those every couple of days or so. I tried getting it waxed before but the hairs are so fine it didn't work that great. Occasionally I'll shave the area between my eyebrows, too- usually I pluck. I get that waxed a couple of times a year, along with my brow arches. I forget to do it a lot of the time and I'm cheap. Occasionally I'll shave my "sideburns", too.
I'm interested in the shaver SabrinaP mentioned- I just put it in my cart.
My face is pretty hairy but I'm very blonde so it doesn't show much, even when I don't shave. It just bothers me.

Pluck and "micro-blade" (shave with that little teeny blade!) And cut sometimes with manicure scissors -- I also have gorilla hairs on my arms -- just about 10 wild things that spring up and bristle.

Check out the seller on Amazon before buying. I got one that arrived sealed to a card like you would expect but the barrel was covered in fingerprints and was dirty inside. It had obviously been used. The seller - in China - wanted me to accept money off the price because “it’s too expensive to accept returns to China.” They eventually refunded in full and told me to bin the item. This is the one I chose and judging by the price here, these are coming from China too. I bought the same one from a reputable national chain of chemists and it works very well but cost half as much again. LINK link

I have had a whisker or two on my chin for several years. My DD has taken great pleasure letting me know when it got too long. I also had peach fuzz and didn't really think I could do anything about it. Just "part of getting older". I'm 56. Well, last year I had a GC to use and I booked a derma-plane session. Oh my word, it was wonderful. I realized my face looked better and my makeup actually seem to apply better. Well, I was in Walmart and I saw one of those little facial shaving/buzzer things. Looks like a lipstick tube. I grabbed a pretty pink one and I use that maybe once a month or so. Depending on the need. It doesn't do as well as derma-planing of course, but it does work.

I have PCOS so I’ve always had the stiff whiskers. I pluck several a day. For the peach fuzz I use the Finishing Touch shaver, which I buy at Fred Meyer but I’ve seen them elsewhere in the “As Seen on TV” section. I use it about once a week and it works really well on the fuzz. My peach fuzz always grows back soft. I’ve used a small face razor on it in the past as well and I’ve never had issues with it growing back coarse. Only my true whiskers do that.

If you don’t have a light-up magnifying mirror, get one. They’re about $35 at Costco. You will discover all kinds of things on your face that you didn’t know were there. Anyway, it will allow you to easily see and tweeze those stray hairs.

With menopause, came a heavy layer of peach fuzz all over my face, particularly heavy on my jawline. It showed a lot when I used foundation. I now shave it.
At first, I used one of those little as seen on tv hair removers, but it didn't get it all the way smooth and left a light stubble. I tried a hair remover cream, and it irritated my skin. Waxing irritates my skin. I shave it off about every 4-6 days, depending on growth and if and when I am leaving home. Using the less expensive razors on my face cause me razor burn and irritation. I currently use the Noxema four blade and it causes me no irritation.
I have a couple coarse dark chin hairs that seem to pop out overnight. I pull them with my tweezers.

Right around age 20 I started getting chin hairs that I started waxing. I had enough that I was able to make a 19 year old young man jealous. I mentioned it while seeing a dermatologist for something else and he very kindly told me I could just shave. Waxing needed the hairs to grow out to an embarrassing length so I have been shaving my chin about every other day for the last 20+ years. Shaving with the direction of growth, then against, then with again gets really nice smooth skin.

I have persistent hairs on my chin that are really annoying. I shave it every day with a flawless touch razor. About a month ago I used one of those tinkle style razors on the rest of my face and liked that. It hasn't made the hair grow back any differently.

I use a super cheap single-blade razor, dry, and just lightly shave everything off. Works like a charm!

I use these. LOVE THEM!!! So easy to use, I haven't had an eyebrow wax in over 3 years and I'm a dark brunette. I just went to grab a link and Amazon has alerted me to the fact that I have purchased this item 7 times.

I love the Flawless Finishing Touch. I do not like the tinkle razors. They pull and hurt. Maybe I'm just sensitive. But I don't have any issues with the Flawless product.

I have a combination of dark and gray stiff whiskers, dark hair but less coarse, and light peach fuzz. I had lasering a couple of years ago with minimal regrowth, but there’s still some. The stiff ones I pluck, and then I shave daily with a double blade razor. I didn’t find the girly razors all that great. There is no stubbly regrowth unless the hair was coarse to begin with.

I am worried about the peach fuzz growing back after using a razor. Is the grow back still peach fuzz or does it grow back coarser like stubble? Shaving does not make hair grow back coarser. It might feel different, because shaving cuts it off,so you are feeling stubble, but it doesn't get thicker or coarser. Noxema use to have the best tiny bikini shaver that worked SO good on those few chin hairs and magic on eyebrows. It was so much easier to use than the Tinkle type blades. They of course don't make them anymore. But this little shaver is an exact dupe and works great! It's about 1" wide and is easy to use on the face. If you rinse it and let it dry it lasts a very long time! www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q1FL7ZF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I agree that peach fuzz grows back as peach fuzz. But the ones on my chin are coarser and grow back very quickly. Is there anything that helps with that?

Do you have to change the blade head on the Finishing Touch Flawless hair remover? stittsygirl and @iluvpink? If so, do you use an off brand? Menopause is causing a nice think layer of peach fuzz on my face, and it's time to do something about it.
