Did you see this months kit? I like the stamp set and the postage dies. I'm intrigued by the Cosmic Shimmer. And did someone say Specked Egg Mini Distress Ink? I ordered it. This is the first SSS kit I've liked in a long time.

I love the stamp set. But no matching dies, and I have so many house/building stamps. And I was planning to get the plane & simple set from lawn fawn, which has a similar plane but with matching dies available.

I like it but not enough. I have postage like dies already. The stamp set is nice but I don't "love" it since I have other stamp sets with houses too. I'm still on the fence whether to get it.

Thankfully doesn't tempt me because I don't need any more supplies!

I like the stamp set theme! I love some of the samples I've seen using this kit. Not sure I'll order it, though - I just blew the budget over at Altenew...

NOT a happy SSS customer. I have stuck with SSS since December, even though their December kit (with the gnomes I coveted) was substituted out for their November kit. After I complained, a LOT, they refunded the money for my December kit and did not ask me to return the one I had received. Okay, fair enough. Even though I really WANTED those gnomes... Since then, my kits have been arriving fairly regularly, usually later than promised, but they have arrived. Just this morning, I authorized PayPay to pay them for the upcoming July kit. And then I picked up the mail. There was a SSS box, which I assumed would hold my June kit. But no. Inside was a repeat of the April kit I already own. I am DONE with them . Sent an email to customer service asking that they refund my June and July payments and that they cancel my kit club membership. Last time it took about 3 followup emails to get action, but I am more than willing to follow up...

I would be really mad if I received the April kit AGAIN, instead of the expected June kit. Can you try cancel the Paypal transaction you did this morning? /Hijack/ I'm also going to say that I rarely order from them anymore. It has to be an SSS exclusive and I have to REALLY like the item. (I like this kit). The last time I bought a kit was Oct 2018. I prefer to order directly from the stamp company or from Ellen Hutson, Scrapbook.com or ScrapbookPal. I know that my order will be shipped in at most two days and I'll receive it shortly. My last order from SSS took 9 working days to ship, then 2 days to get to me. Also I hate that the shipping charge from SSS is a flat $6.99.

I know a lot of companies are having difficulties because of Covid (I’ve been waiting for Lawn Fawn to ship or otherwise acknowledge an item I ordered over a week ago!), but it sounds like you have been more than patient with them and extended a great deal of grace. : (

SSS responded this morning by email, have cancelled my membership as requested and have refunded my payment for the July kit. The June kit is somewhere on its way to me. They sent me their USPS tracking info which says the package arrived in Toronto on June 6th. Not unusual for Canada Post to take this long to process and ship something for out here. The SSS tracking number does not give me any CP link, so I will assume it will get here when it gets here. Have forgotten what was supposed to be in it, anyway.
The second April kit was MY error, I guess. I had seen, early March, their really cute Easter dies and ordered them along with the Sunshine & Rainbows card kit. I did not realize at the time that this would be their April kit club kit as well. My order arrived--kit included--in a very timely manner and I had the opportunity to use the papers and dies for Easter cards.
What arrived yesterday was THE REGULAR APRIL CARD KIT! Which is the same as the one I had ordered with the dies, thinking it was a special Easter kit. I am returning it for a refund. Or at least I THINK I am returning it. I need to pay postage on it, so if that costs too much I will just keep the kit, use some more of the pretty papers, maybe gift the duplicate stamps to someone else.
I made some comments in my return email suggesting that they make it possible for members to track their kits--or at least check to see which kits have been ordered. CS says they "are working on this". I also suggested they be more clear in their naming of kits so that a person can tell if something is a duplicate or not of the regularly offered kit, AND to set up a pop up alert if a customer inadvertantly double orders something. Sounds like their accounting for the kits and for the ala carte menu are completely separate.
I realize that I could have prevented this error. But I am still done with SSS. I belong to other clubs, and they are nowhere NEAR this complicated or frustrating.

I think what you are doing seems to be the best way to deal with SSS. If you like an individual kit, then order it. And order it early, because the popular ones disappear quickly. The supplies--and kit--I ordered independently arrived in a timely manner. I liked the extra dies I purchased which went nicely with the papers in the kit, and the kit had a cloud stencil in it I can see myself using over and over again. The kits seem to wander in whenever, and unless they finish "working on" and then implement their site improvements, there is no way to trace the kits' status.

Grammadee, what other card kits do you subscribe to? I'm getting a bit tired of SSS card kits and was thinking about subscribing to another card kit.
A lot of good feedback for SSS customer service and hopefully they take your suggestions to heart.

My subscriptions are to a couple of Alberta LSS's for scrapbooking kits. And I purchase individual card kits occasionally. Maybe ask that as a question on this cardmaking board and others could give you a better answer.

Darn grammadee. That is annoying. The gnome kit that took two months to get to me was the last time I ordered from SSS. As for other card kits, I’ve ordered a couple different Hero Arts ones. I just can’t afford to do every month what with shipping and the exchange rate to Canada.

I’m tempted. This is the first kit I’ve liked a while. I don’t sub, just purchase one off.
