In the Before Times, my husband and I were on similar schedules. Now that no one has to be anywhere in the am, dh has started staying up later. When we went to bed at the same time, if my alarm woke him up, it was fine. Now that he goes to bed later, if he can’t get back to sleep after the alarm, he won’t have slept enough.
Is there some way I am not thinking of to wake myself up that won’t wake him up? If I don’t set an alarm, some of my early-rising kids will be up at the same time, and I don’t get the time in the morning to read in quiet that I like to have before starting my day.

Hubby gets up earlier than I do. He uses his Fitbit as his alarm and I never hear it or him getting up.

Sometimes he may just not get the exact amount of sleep

Side question: For those who use Apple Watch to wake up...when do you charge it if you sleep with it on? Mine goes on the charger at night and then back on in the AM.

DH charges his Apple Watch during the day. He says it takes about 40 minutes if it is totally out of battery. He will take it off and charge it while he is working at his desk.
