trump yesterday...
”I promised YOU I would not take a dime of salary as your President. I donate the entire $400,000! It is my honor to give $100,000 to @natlparkservice to help repair and restore our GREAT National Monuments. So important to our American History! Thank You!!”
Public Citizen...
”Trump’s golf trips have cost taxpayers $134 million. That’s equivalent to 334 years of the presidential salary.”
Just think about all the better uses of that $134M instead of using it so trump could play golf.
Just about every weekend he goes to one of his properties to play golf and we are footing the bill.

Trump to withdraw controversial public lands nomineeBY RACHEL FRAZIN - 08/15/20 01:04 PM EDT President Trump will withdraw William Perry Pendley’s nomination to lead the Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management, a White House official confirmed to The Hill. Pendley was a controversial choice for the role because he has previously advocated for selling off public lands. He has also been criticized for comments he made about Islam, the Black Lives Matter movement and undocumented immigrants as well as skepticism about climate change. Pendley has been serving as the head of the agency in an acting capacity for about a year but was formally nominated to serve as permanent director in June. He previously served in the Interior Department during the Reagan administration. The Bureau of Land Management head will remain at the helm of the agency despite the withdrawal of his formal nomination. "The President makes staffing decisions. Mr. Pendley continues to lead the Bureau of Land Management as Deputy Director for Programs and Policy," Interior spokesman Nicholas Goodwin told The Hill on Saturday. ** thehill.com/policy/energy-environment/512169-trump-to-withdraw-controversial-public-lands-nominee

Let's abandon ship and leave the citizens hanging some of whom are very sick or dead! (CNN)Two senior Trump political appointees departed the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a senior official at the agency confirmed to CNN. Kyle McGowan, the chief of staff, and Amanda Campbell, the deputy chief of staff, resigned effective Friday, leaving to start a consulting firm, the official said. Both left voluntarily, the official added. CNN has reached out to McGowan and Campbell for comment. Politico first reported the news of their departures. The pair had been criticized by Trump administration officials for not being loyal enough. McGowan started working in Health and Human Services under then-Secretary Tom Price. He first served as director of external affairs for HHS before moving to the CDC. CNN has reached out to HHS for comment about the departures. McGowan was the first ever CDC chief of staff who was a political appointee, the official said. CNN saw the letter sent by Campbell Friday morning announcing her departure and thanking the CDC for her time at the agency. ** www.cnn.com/2020/08/15/politics/cdc-chief-of-staff-deputy-kyle-mcgowan-amanda-campbell-depart/index.html

Benghazi, anyone?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Appeals court blocks Hillary Clinton deposition on private email serverBY HARPER NEIDIG - 08/14/20 01:41 PM A federal appeals court on Friday blocked a judge's order that Hillary Clinton be deposed as part of a conservative group's lawsuit for records related to the private email server she used while serving as secretary of State.A three-judge panel on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed by the conservative group Judicial Watch did not merit the level of legal inquiry that would require Clinton to sit for a deposition. Judicial Watch had filed its lawsuit in 2014, initially seeking records about comments Susan Rice had made as ambassador to the United Nations regarding the 2012 attacks on U.S. personnel in Benghazi, Libya. "Here, the District Court ordered Secretary Clinton’s deposition primarily to probe her motives for using a private email server and her understanding of the State Department’s records-management obligations," Judge Robert Wilkins, who was appointed by former President Obama, wrote in the panel's decision. "However, neither of these topics is relevant to the only outstanding issue in this FOIA litigation — whether the State Department has conducted an adequate search for talking points provided to Ambassador Rice following the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi, or for any communications or records related to those specific talking points." Wilkins was joined in the panel decision by Judges Cornelia Pillard, another Obama appointee, and Thomas Griffith, who was appointed by former President George W. Bush. ** thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/512055-appeals-court-blocks-hillary-clinton-deposition-on-private-email

Trump's younger brother, Robert, age 72 passed away. It was announced about an hour ago. Robert was supposedly an alcoholic his whole life (the entire family has addiction issues). He lived on LI. His first wife divorced him, and he remarried a few years ago into an incredibly wealthy NY family. His wife owned Gurney's Inn in Montauk,NY, among other hotels, etc......... He co-owned a little restaurant on LI and was frequently there, imbibing, and sloppy (easy enough to research).
While I'd normally have sympathy, I wonder why his brother only saw him briefly yesterday, and didn't spend the remaining days of his life by his bedside. Instead, 45 went back to his NJ golf course, played golf and posed for pics, smiling, while he knew that his brother was going to die at any given minute. I just don't get it...............
RIP to any of Robert's family who has a heart and who is truly affected by his loss.

Well, since he reportedly went to the movies instead of seeing his brother Fred at the end of his life, I guess it was something of a move to save political face that he went to see Robert at all. I read that he and his brother had a pretty bad falling out years ago and only reconciled at all around the time Trump was elected.

Ah ha!! WE knew! Senate intel leaders said Trump associates may have presented misleading testimony during Russia probe: report BY JUSTIN WISE AND J. EDWARD MORENO - 08/16/20 07:49 AM Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate Intelligence Committee reportedly told federal prosecutors last year that they believed President Trump’s family and associates may have presented misleading testimony during the panel’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.Among those suspected of presenting misleading information are the president’s son Donald Trump Jr. and son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner, unidentified sources familiar with the matter told The Washington Post. Trump Jr.'s and Kushner's accounts of a meeting with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign reportedly conflicted with the testimony of former deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates. The committee also reportedly accused the president’s former chief strategist Stephen Bannon, former campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis and private security contractor Erik Prince of lying to Congress, which potentially carries a felony charge. The concerns were detailed in a letter sent by the committee in June 2019 to the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., according to a copy obtained by the Los Angeles Times. It’s unclear if the Department of Justice (DOJ) took any action on the referrals, which are generally tips from Congress about potential criminal activity. The DOJ and the Senate Intelligence Committee did not immediately return requests for comments from The Hill. The Senate Intelligence Committee engaged in an investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election for more than three years. Like former special counsel Robert Mueller, the panel concluded that the Kremlin mounted a sophisticated effort to boost President Trump and harm Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s candidacy during the lead-up to the 2016 election. ** The Senate Intelligence Committee interviewed hundreds of people in its probe that stretched for nearly 3 ½ years. Members of the committee said in early August that in the coming days, they will work to “formalize a properly redacted, declassified, publicly releasable version of the Volume 5 report.” The report's release will conclude the last remaining investigation into Russian election interference. Some harsh chick was the host and Trump called in. They were talking about how Obama/Biden "spied" on him and his campaign, how there was fraud with the FISA warrant against Carter Page (despite the previous THREE FISA warrants and the fact that Carter Page has been being watched for years due to his Russian ties and outright dodgy behavior). If someone messed up or cut corners to get the latest FISA warrant in 2016, then that's horrible, but it's not as though that administration or the Justice Dept just chose innocent Trump people out of thin air to try and get something on them! They could only listen in if there are calls or suspicious activity being made to begin with.
Trump went on and on, in his angry, aggressive tone, and the stupid tv host was all too eager to discuss how Obama went wrong!!! THIS is what Trump's team is going on.

But Trump hired Robert when he had his NJ casinos. Trump pinned some failure on Robert and supposedly never forgave him. I'm SURE that the only reason for them all to ever speak was to keep their stories straight about hiding how they evaded tax with their dad's inheritance.........
We never hear about Trump's 2 sisters....

The New Zealand Prime Minister has just pushed out the date of their election by 4 weeks. I have no personal experience of NZ politics, but I assume it is same/similar to Australia where the Prime Minister sets the date of an election, so while it is unusual to change a date, they are legally able to do so.
I can just see Trump pointing to this as a reason to do the same. Just wit for it to pop up in a tweet sometime soon.
