Well Dh is away for the weekend so I have to
Get together with friends do some laundry read nap watch Netflix make some chili on Sunday and that's about it. I am really looking forward to it. We have been doing a bunch of home improvement stuff and Im still going into the office M-F so it feels like forever since I have had a weekend to do as little as possible.

I proofread and edited the 2nd proof of a newsletter earlier, so I’ll be working on that when I get the next proof back, and repeat until it’s ready to be sent. I have 22 grant applications to read and score for the state reading council. We have a Zoom meeting Tuesday morning to decide which ones get funded and for how much of their request. I want to straighten up the laundry room cabinets and the one in the half bath. Then the 1st floor will be in pretty good shape. I need to do some weeding, and I should give all my flower pots a feeding of plant food.

Bulldoze my craft room. Got to make room for new stuff! I haven't really crafted since we moved in three years ago. My daughter and grandson were living with us for a while and my room became sort of a catchall for stuff that didn't fit elsewhere in the house. I'm trying to be tough on myself and get rid of things. Do I need two sewing machines, two embroidery machines, and two sergers? Probably not.

Well, we have an electrian coming tomorrow to do the electrical for our new HVAC (mini splits). After that, we'll probably cut out the wall in our bathroom and look at how difficult it's going to be to get the old furnace out. Oh boy. How fun. It's caused a huge mess in this house. sigh.

I'm weeding today because we are supposed to have rain tomorrow. I have the back flower beds done (except for bagging the weeds) and I need to tackle the gravel paths this afternoon.
That leaves trimming the a rhodie out front and digging up a wisteria from a neighbor's yard and transplanting it at our other house.
The house is in good order. Laundry is done, but needs to be put away. I'm looking forward to a rainy weekend spent reading.

Hoping to get in a couple long morning walks and hang with DH. We might go for a drive somewhere but with cases rising around us maybe not.

This weekend is Peach Day! My husband made me put it on the calendar so we'd have something on there. We ordered from the Peach Truck and will go pick it up on Sunday. Since there is a bike trail in that town, we'll get in a ride as long as the weather cooperates.

What's the Covid situation like in Ottawa now? I'm a Canadian living in Cali for the last three decades, and our cases are rising at an alarming rate right now.

Nap, finish cleaning my bathrooms, plan meals for next week and sunset boat rides. The Saharan sand is in the southeast right now and the sunsets are supposed to be out of this world.

Looking at my email in-box and to-do list from this week...I’m going to say work, work and more work. I try to be really protective of my weekends but there are too many big projects with similar deadlines and I could really use the extra days to play catch up. I took on the workload for a displaced employee and it’s kicking my butt.
It’s supposed to rain here this weekend, so that helps. :-)

digging up a wisteria from a neighbor's yard and transplanting it at our other house. Does the neighbor know? Good one! I just pictured DH and I, dressed in black at midnight, belly crawling across our neighbor's driveway to avoid being caught on the Ring... Yes, she knows. She HATES the plant and wants it gone. We have to trim it to get it to fit in the back of our SUV. We have the perfect place for it.

Laundry and putting my kitchen back together. We had a new counter put in and things are scattered here and there and my key hooks, etc need to be put back up. I also have a little bit of touch up painting to do. That will take very little time. I have a new rug for under the dining space next to the kitchen that hasn't even been opened and so that will also be opened, unrolled and put in place. Can't wait to see it!
Other than that, nothing planned. I really want to see my dd but she still has another several days of quarantining before I can see her. They were in CO for 3 weeks and got home mid last week.

I finished mowing and weeded the side of the house, raised garden, and half of the in ground garden. Then the thunderstorm came in.
May or may not go back out today to finish

flanz. It's pretty good. Single digits for the past 5 days. Today we have 6 new cases, 1 death. All of Ontario has only 111 new cases today. The lowest number since March.

I don’t have any plans yet. I usually do something (Like coffee on the deck) with dd1 but she is going camping this weekend. I might micromanage dh to complete a couple projects around the house. 😂
I’m caught up on laundry so I might have to find someone to deep clean. I hate deep cleaning.

What don't I need to do? That's a better question. I will finally do our taxes because Jeremy is going to divorce me if I keep procrastinating on delivering him a refund. Last minute Lucy I am.
And what's the scoop with the kitchen. I clean it and ten minutes later it's dirty again. I have a white tiled floor. You know everything shows on this floor.
But really I just want to crochet. Because that's infinitely more fun. Might even scrapbook. And just say the hell with cleaning.

We had to start getting our taxes done by a professional after I changed jobs, so this year we rushed in and got them done as one last errand before safer at home started. But before that I did our taxes myself, and as tax season progressed and the "do your taxes" commercials would show up on tv, I would yell "I KNOW!" at the tv. I hated having them hanging over my head undone almost as much as I hated doing them.
