I finished the fence around the vegetable garden so no more Guinea Fowl eating my seedlings and trampling what they don't eat. I also created two new garden beds and refurbished the ones along the fence line. I still need to create two more beds but I might as well wait until fall at this point.
Framed up a 7x12 chicken coop but then that project went on hold for over a month as Lowe's never delivered the roofing and siding. I finally cancelled that order because I ordered from a more local store and they delivered the next day!
In the meanwhile, we finally sorted through the stuff we stashed on the screen porch when the basement flooded in October and arranged the furniture so we could hang up the hammock and the Hugglepod we bought the kids a couple of Christmases ago. We are pretty much living out there these days, it's so nice!

We spruced up our front and back yard-new fruit trees, replaced lighting, tune up on irrigation and some seasonal flowers. We have a beautiful yard and are using it so much this summer. I have a new appreciation for our yard and it’s our refuge.

I have a new range and dishwasher that was sorely needed. And a new garage door.
Also on the side of my house is just a walkway to the backyard that was looking a little sad. My son cleaned out that area and we are going to add some fresh rock.
We also got a fire pit and hanging out in the backyard more. I have ideas but money is going towards our new dog at the moment.
I would like to put up a pergola for some shade and some lights. But I have other inside projects to do first ... carpet and windows.

Done a few little things but mostly just thinning out the clutter. Dawned on me during all this that I don't need 6 sets of sheets for each bed in the house when I live alone with the dog. Also who am I keeping my collections for when I don't have kids. My scrapbooks are going to my nieces and nephews who are in the pictures. So I'm drastically downsizing. As far as improvements I finally put in a new Mailbox It's been pretty bad for the last couple of years (soggy mail is no fun). I got the ceiling light in the Master bedroom fixed and put in new fixture. Replaced the blinds there and in the living room and added a doggie door to the family room. Now I just need a reminder of why I thought wallpaper belonged everywhere 20 years ago. Once its all off I'm hiring out repainting the entire main floor hopefully before Christmas.

So here is the update to the quaran-tiki bar. Epoxy bar top done and mural is started. Still have some decorating to do as well but it is functional. I also have several more of those bamboo stools in the garage. DH bought them on craigslist and they need to be refinished and re-lashed. More busy work

The house was remodeled last year so this year we started on the backyard.
