This is so you have bragging rights over cleaning up after your craft session, or finally scrubbing that floor that hasn't been touched in a month (or more if you're me), organizing a supply or your whole room, sorting or editing photos, organizing page kits, basically anything that’s not actually crafting that needs to get finished in the craft room. Note for teams: If you’re on the team challenge you can claim 10 point for each hour spent. Your time doesn’t have to be consecutive. You can claim a bonus point for before and after photos. grammadee

I’m planning to Kon Mari my clothes next week so I’ve been doing some extra laundry so all the clothes will be clean to be put away or given away. I have too many clothes for one person. My craft room is still sitting at about 75% done.

Just spent 3 hours putting the copies of dgd’s pages into her SECOND album. I have copied almost 400 pages for her to represent 18 years of her life.
Just have to create a cover page for the second book, and I can give them both to her dad before he leaves here for home early tomorrow morning. Have the pieces done. Waiting for the transfer gel to dry so I can foil a filigreed heart diecut that came with my last kit.

I have shelves and shelves and shelves of books. Which I don't dust often enough. In a dry and windy climate. Ahem. I just did one hour today of dusting + cleaning + decluttering. Two very large photo books have been set aside to be given away. It's a start...

I just spent two hours organising digital photos, unzipping downloads and sorting them into the right files, and other computer cleanup - so fun, lol. I also ordered my weekly photo order.

Well, it only took a couple of minutes but after a couple of days of working around the mess of my virus diaries I finally packed it back away into its box for the rest of the week so I could have my desk back. You’d think I would know by now just to put it away when I stop... I’m working on random cards for my SIL so I have piles of messes everywhere! The last thing I need is to only have access to half of my desk before I even start.
Don’t ask me about the rest of my tidying. I got started then had a PMS related crisis and gave up for a few days. Bags are my nemesis.

Wow! You ladies have been busy. That makes me happy. I'll have to live vicariously through you as I look at 2 large piles in my craft room that need to be dealt with. Just too tired.

Please tell me that making photo books gets easier with practise? I have seriously spent 6+ hours today on my WITL photo book at Shutterfly. And I still need to go back tomorrow and proof read the journalling as the cut and paste process stripped out all the apostrophes, sigh. Please tell me I get to count those hours as organising? I didn't digi-scrap so they don't count as layouts - just drag and drop and resize and curse and ... grammadee and @lisav

I’m planning to Kon Mari my clothes next week so I’ve been doing some extra laundry so all the clothes will be clean to be put away or given away. I have too many clothes for one person. My craft room is still sitting at about 75% done. This seriously works. I took all of my clothes out of closets and drawers—and I put them on my bed so I had to go through them! There were so many things that technically fit but I really didn’t love or even like. There were things I loved that I never wore, but because they made me smile, I kept them. I ended up getting rid of bags and bags of stuff. Then I recommended the book to my mom and dad because it made so much sense and had such an impact on me—like no other book on organization had before. My advice—get ALL of your clothes out and do it right. Get ALL of your shoes out and do it right. Get ALL of your purses/accessories out and do it right. I've been trying to do this now with crafting stuff—what am I hanging on to because it’s in good shape and what am I hanging on to that is my current style and I truly enjoy. Good shape stuff goes to a donate box (and most hopefully goes to my DS’s teacher soon.) What I keep is getting organized—in my closet, in my dresser, in my craft closet, or in my craft room. I <3 Marie Kondo!

1 more hour spent proofreading all the journalling in my photo book before pressing BUY - when I cut and pasted, it stripped out ALL the apostrophes. I hope I found them all. Also included in that hour - tidying up (some - there's more) of my desk...enough so I can scrap again

Technology is amazing but sometimes it’s just such a nuisance. Making photo books definitely counts as something. If not organizing, at least “other crafts” which is the same points-wise anyway. It does, hopefully, get easier. Maybe not if you have the apostrophe issue every time, but in other respects. I haven’t used Shutterfly but hopefully you’ll get a workflow down.

joblackford - good to know it'll get easier as I have quite a few more planned with some of mum's photos. They shouldn't have nearly as much journalling so I'll probably just caption as I make them instead of journalling ahead of time and then cutting and pasting.

I declared my virus diaries project DONE this afternoon. So I spent a couple of hours going through all the leftovers, filing what I wanted to keep, tossing the stuff that I am sick of or couldn’t use, tidying up the alphabet stickers, and adding some leftover bits and bobs to my little ephemera notebook, which is an ongoing project - really just a place to hold all the little bits of paper that I would feel sad about throwing away. I got everything out of my iris case and put away! Yay!
I think I need to go through my alphabet stickers and give up on some sheets, or try the thing where you make whatever random words you can instead of staring at all the letters and wishing you had some Es. I tend to keep my alpha sheets forever.

I spent a couple hours decluttering my supplies today. I got rid of a bin of wood mounted stamps that I wasn’t using. I organized my Xmas supplies and got rid of half. I got rid of a crop in style binder. I combined some bins of like stuff to take up less space. I had 6 areas of stuff around my house and now have 5. I would like to get down to 2 but that’s going to take a lot more purging and using up. I don’t even know if that’s a realistic goal. I have a lot of albums. I usually box them up and just stick them in the attic. That will help me buy some more room.

Linda, so sweet of you to donate. ecvnj58, that is an extensive goal. Good luck paring down to only 2 spots.

Just spent 3 hours trying to tame the clutter in my scraproom. Managed to make some room on my counters and get most of the older papers sorted and stored in their bins/drawers. Pulled out several camping/hiking collections in case I need them when scrapping the photos I selected to play with today. Still have some bins that need sorting, but no need to get all organization crazy , right? Taking a break now....
