I’m up to date on Guru. I think it’s well done. I listen to mostly true crime but I’ve also listened to lots of others. Dr Death Bad Batch Office Ladies The Conspirators Rusty Hinges Wooden Overcoats Bag Man Catch and Kill

I'm always tempted to listen to crime ones but I don't think I want all of that in my brain. Me neither. I like self improvement podcasts. I like Unf*ck Your Brain, Losing 100 pounds with Phit n Phat, and Not Your Average Runner. I also like Freakonomics and Revisionist History. I also listen to Secular Buddhism and I like the Happier Podcast when I just want some fluff.

I have never listened to a podcast. My daughter loves crime podcasts and listens to them on long drives. When do most of you listen to them? While driving? Srapbooking? Cooking?

I listen while dog walking, driving, cleaning, schoolwork if it’s mindless.
Thunder Bay was fascinating, about a small messed up town in Canada. Down the Hill, I haven’t listened to all of it but it’s true crime about the murder of 2 girls and really weird Beautiful Anonymous, comedian Chris Gethard hosts but it isn’t so much comedy (there are funny moments of course) as just lovely slices of humanity.

Behind the Bastards - and they just did a special 6-part called Behind the Police which was great Gangster capitalism - season 1 was about the college admissions scandal, season 2 about the NRA Sawbones - medical stuff Tales from the Darknet - hackers, penetration testing, etc. - it's not techy, but interesting stories behind the hacks America Dissected - recently it's about COVID, but the first 6 or so episodes were about the issues facing the healthcare/insurance system
And of course the old standbys Freakanomics Hidden Brain

I'm very cautious of triggers.
