The Covid 19 pandemic has certainly changed life for us in so many ways. We have had to deal with postponements and outright cancellations of many things. We had 2 trips in April. One was cancelled and one was postponed to December. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it happens in December. DH and I both are really looking forward to it. We also are spending the first week of August at the beach and I can't wait. If something happens to that trip I may lose it. I'm also enjoying the small moments and little things we are doing together right now. Drinks on the deck, wading together in the creek, and taking rides together, that sort of stuff.
What are you looking forward to right now? Big or small.

We are headed to Estes Park in a few weeks. We are taking a tour that focuses on seeing the creatures.

I think that right now we have to set our expectations low. Since we can't make big vacation plans and go to fun places, we have to learn to settle for the small things and truly embrace them. I'm part of the Animal Crossings gang and my guide arrives tmw. I'm like a little kid waiting for my present. Also, I look fwd to my jigsaw puzzle time later today. Sometimes it's as simple as looking fwd to my walk or being able to sit outside and enjoy my beautiful garden.

I haven't spent Christmas with my family in almost 20 years, We've had tickets bought for Canada for ages and hope to get to go. We are having passport issues and pandemic concerns.

Picking up our dog from the vet in an hour, he is not out of the woods but the x-ray has given more info why the meds were not working as well as they should have and the results of the swabs should add more info to help sort everything out.
Just want to get him home and comfortable. It's been an anxious day.

I'm honestly not sure at the moment. I would love to have some travel planned but we're waiting until the autumn to decide how we're going to celebrate our 30th anniversary and my Dh's 60th in November. Hopefully by then we'll be able to plan something with a little more certainty.

We had a camping trip scheduled at the end of the month but with having to share a restroom with other people (even with the campground at 50% capacity) we're probably going to cancel... Instead, I'm looking forward to a box of books arriving sometime this week. I probably won't read them any time soon, but I love getting stuff in the mail and there are tomatoes on my tomato plants. They can't turn red fast enough...I love tomato season.

We have a vacation planned in mid-August that I am so looking forward to. It is at a small villa on Santorini we visited 2 years ago - only 10 villas in the complex, private pool and away from the main town on the island, so quite isolated.

Being done with cancer treatment...should be done by mid-September, I think. I'm wanting so much to take a little vacation just to a cabin or something, but gotta stay close to home for a while longer.

Tomorrow's walk with my friend (and former neighbor) Nancy. We've walked/hiked together on Tuesday mornings for about 10-11 years. It's been the one thing I can count on being "normal" these last 4 months.

My passport expires in a couple of months, and was wondering how things were going. Are things just taking way more time right now? I have no travel plans immediately, so I'll probably just wait on renewing. I'm taking 2 weeks in July off and going to my parents. We plan on doing nothing, because they live in a part of the State with exploding cases right now, but they have their own in ground pool and the weather will be hot. So no need to do a thing! It'll be a great.

DH and I are taking a 3 day weekend. Driving to the beach and staying in a friend's beach house. Taking all our own groceries and not going anywhere except the beach. So basically going to lay low but in a different location.

I like threads like this. I was having a very hard time finding anything to look forward to - it's so horribly depressing right now. I like being reminded of all the different things I could and should be looking forward to.

There really isn't anything right now. No vacations or road trips or anything fun planned. Maybe next year things will look up. We are hoping to move across country next year, but that is dependent on DH's job at this point. We won't find that out for a few more weeks. If all goes well we will hopefully be moving to Wyoming.

I broke a tooth in April...dentist said i'm first on his list for reopening...then he decided he wasn't opening.
I saw a new dentist last week and am looking forward to having the tooth fixed in a couple weeks. After almost 3 months, i'm really looking forward to it being fixed.

I’m looking forward to getting to a place where I have trips and life things and easier breathing and energy to look forward to. Right now everything is such a holding pattern of uncertainty...

Looking forward to getting to spend time with my friends soon. I miss our lunches and shopping trips. We had plans lunch after the 4th and now we are shut down again.
I don’t want to complain, so many people have had much worse consequences from this virus.

I just want freedom to grab a latte or a Coke from McD's. I know things are opening, but DH is high risk and we are avoiding any contact. I go to the grocery store and that is it.

I’m looking forward to when I can get back to doing my activities with my friends. The gym, bike rides, scootering, dog shows. Hopefully we can start doing some of them in fall or winter.
I have a dog show scheduled in August that I’m going to if it goes on as it’s for our breed club. I also have a concert the end of September that has not been cancelled yet. I didn’t buy the concert tickets so I can’t sell them myself. I’m actually hoping both will be officially cancelled so I don’t have to deal with either of them.

seeing DS again - not sure when it will be - was supposed to be this summer but obviously won't be now. Maybe Christmas, maybe next summer... this is us as well - we were meant to travel to Belgium in September but obviously that is not happening. He thought about coming home for Christmas but it still may not be safe enough to do a 24 hour flight (Europe to Australia) so we have a tentative for June 2021 for him to come home for DH's 70th b-day. Way to long without a visit - I miss him terribly.

I'm looking forward to our annual week-long camping trip to Grand Teton National Park. We have a travel trailer so will have our own bathroom and kitchen facilities. I know it won't be "normal" as a lot of things are closed this summer, but it'll feel a little closer to normal than the rest of this summer has felt so far. We leave this Saturday and I can't wait!

At the moment, nothing. Because of where we live, no one is following any kind of guideline for the pandemic so even doing something as simple as going to the state park is a scary thought.
