Sakes. Then you get to say for Pete Sakes! 😂. I am no use as I’ve had 2 dogs and a cat named Yankee, Doodles and Dandy!
ETA: If you want to make his official name Peter (and just call him Pete), then his middle name could be Pumpkin. As in the nursery rhyme Peter, Peter, Pumpkin eater!

Can’t think of a lot of famous Pete’s off the top of my head except Pete Rose so that’s the name I’ll throw into the hat.

Yes, dogs need to have a middle name so they know when they are in trouble.
Maybe you could just call him Peterson when he is in trouble.

Nothing comes to mind at the moment, but I think giving your dog a midlle name is All of our dogs have had middle names. First, middle, last. Only seemed right. 😄

I love dogs with middle names. Most of our dogs have always have middle names. ❤️❤️❤️
My first Great Dane was Jasper Dean
Now we have Roxxane Badger, Willow Dumptruck....and Niklaus. No middle name for Niklaus but he has plenty of nick names, lol.
One of my 74 year old mother’s goldens is named Sami Winchester (after her favorite show, Supernatural, which she can’t watch by herself because it’s too scary).
Not much help on Pete’s middle name...except I did have a Dalmatian growing up named Petey Rascal.

Growing up, across the street from us, there was a kid named Pete. We all called him Pete Pete from across the street. My friend's little sister married him, and they still call him that.
All of my cats and my dog had middle names. The dog got his middle name from an elderly gentleman's middle name. We adored this man, and he was always so kind to us. So the dog was Finnegan Mullins.
Do you have someone you would like to honour?

My male dog’s middle name is pancakes (kids thought it was cute lol). My female dog 1.5 years younger doesn’t have one I just realized. Welp. She’s Chloe Waffles now. 😂

My dogs have been missing out in the middle name. Ha! My younger sister does not have one either. Maybe my parents could not be bothered to think of one lol.

All of our dogs have the middle name of Lou. I’ve tried not to use it again twice now, but it just seems to flow and fit with each dog. So all of our girls’ middle names are Lou.

Yes, dogs need to have a middle name so they know when they are in trouble. Maybe you could just call him Peterson when he is in trouble. Our Black lab name is Gus but it become Gusifer when he misbehaves ,when the chocolate lab is bad I use her first and last name 🤷🏻♀️

She has named him Pete after her favorite customer when she worked at a local restaurant in high school. Pete came in daily and sat in her section. They formed a very close bond and would often go out to lunch or breakfast. At his funeral his family, who all live across the country, told her that he often told them stories about her. He referred to her as the daughter he never had. ❤️
Pete when he is being chill. Petey when he is playful. Peter when he is in trouble. Lol!
Thank you for the suggestions so far. She is loving all the ideas.

Yes, dogs need to have a middle name so they know when they are in trouble. Exactly! That's pretty much the only time his full name (including middle) is used....when he's being naughty. Our dog's middle name is Flash....do you have a favorite show/character/cartoon/food?

Since she calls him 'Peter' when he's in trouble, I'd lean in with Pan as his middle name. Mischievous!
