Got an email from Scrap Happy's leader, Alice Boll. She is planning a one week long LayOut A Day starting this next Monday, July 13th. What the LOAD experience usually includes is an overall theme (this one's theme is Colours of the Rainbow), and daily prompts that provide a couple of challenges--one theme related, the other technique driven--some samples, and some encouragement. Your job is to create something that meets either one or both of the themes by the end of the day. There is a Gallery into which you can post your creations. justjac is a hardcore LOADer. I have not been able to keep up with most month long LOAD's, but I like the 7 day ones. And Alice has suggested that for this one, we "invite a friend": Alice says: "Invite a Friend: Do you have a friend that's always wanted to try LOAD, but they can't commit to a full month? A mini LOAD is the perfect time for them to experience the joy of a LOAD Challenge... in a nice one week bite size! Send them over to ScrapHappy.org/load to sign up, it's only $15! "

I do love LOAD. Somehow it is the perfect challenge for me.

I would, but we're going to be in/out/away next week...yay, vacay!
And TBH, even though my scrapping is pokey at present, what REALLY needs to be addressed is my photos. I'm 18 months behind in printing any pictures. YIKES.
BUT I was thinking maybe a LOAD week here on the board sometime? (OK, Sketchtember definitely pushes productivity, but could we do one in August maybe?)

I would like to, but I’m afraid I can’t commit every day. It sounds very fun and especially motivating. I’m just afraid that when I get behind on day two, I’m not throwing a fit frustrated angry because I couldn’t do it!

It's a shame it wasn't this week, because I had the week off work.

If you miss a day you may lose out on some prize opportunities, but no other negative consequences. It’s fun to see what others do with the prompts, too oh, and you can do the pages you want or need to make and then just post your page as “off prompt”
