Im so confused. xyron had the same idea/product maybe 10 years ago??? Design Runner Michael’s had it in store for a demo. I tried it and there were always problems when I did it. Lining it up on paper, skipping, inconsistent ink/fading. It was not for me.
Is this a retread? I can’t see how those issues were fixed. It still seems difficult to know where exactly it will print. What am I missing.
I like improvement and new products. Sell me on it.

Seems like a retread to me. The Xyron thing was way cheaper and unreliable. It was one of those things I thought I needed until I tried it. Today’s seems really expensive and the ink cartridges are very pricey. Bet they don’t sell many.

It’s like the Cricut Joy, cute tool but way, way, way overpriced.

I had the first one. It was extremely limited. The print space was tiny, you had to use a predesigned cartridge and the machine itself seemed more wobbly. The ink on it didn't come in a colored cartridge like this newer product. -well, maybe it printed two colors.
For me, I'd compare it to one of your first cell phones to the one you have now. I think the technology has been upgraded 1000%.
It is expensive. You have to decide whether or not it is worth the money for how often you would use it. I like the personalization of it and how many things you can print on. The real question is- is it as easy as the hosts say it is?

I have 5 cartridges. This one appears to come with images on the computer app. I remember having to buy lots of pieces to it to get my old one updgraded... pretty sure I got the keyboard so I could design my own designs. I don't think it came with it.

I got one to try. You have 30 days to return so if I don’t like it as much as I think I will then it will just go back. However, I am super excited about the fact you can upload your own files. I have tons of digital stamps and I can’t wait to try them with it.

After spending time demoing the Xxyron design runner at my LSS. Yeah it was crap
From looking at the WeR one for 3 minutes. It has a better shape, the guide looks sturdier, but that price tag is really off.
I think the price is high because they're not going to sell many and the cost to design it wasn't cheap and they're trying to recoup that. (My Opinion no actual facts known)

The ink isn't permanent, which rules it out for me. There was a question about that, and they tried to play it off as a good thing, because, "hey, you can wash it out and do it again!" I wouldn't have bought it anyway, since I remember the dreadful Design Runner too. I didn't buy that either, but I did have a chance to try it, and it was terrible.

I did see that with the fabric napkins she was printing on. I didn’t pay much attention because I am only wanting it for scrapbooking. Does anyone know the lasting properties of this type of ink on photos and scrapbook paper that will be in page protectors? I have tried googling and looking up the info on their website but I can’t seem to find it. Definitely would be a game changer if it would be harmful or short lived on paper and photo products. ‘’I have read they are in the process of developing different types of ink but I’m always a “believe it when I see it” type person.

I was tempted but like I said earlier it’s way over priced. If they could get that price down to about $150 I might buy but I’ve learned over the years not to jump on the first edition of any new tool, especially the pricy ones. There is always a new, more improved model coming out right around the corner.

I have already been playing around with the app as I wait for it to arrive and I am so pumped that I am able to upload all my AE digital stamps to use. Can’t wait to try it on my pages.
