I may have just ruined my two dogs. They got plain burgers from Burger King. My Golden Retriever ate his in two bites. My much more ladylike lab mix took five bites. I’m afraid they’ll expect it every time we get in the car!

I bought a plain burger for my Lucy to entice her to eat after a rather grueling surgery she endured a couple of years before I lost her. She hadn't eaten for over 24 hours and was barely drinking anything. I almost lost her but the DQ burger brought her back from the edge. It took four days of day and night surveillance and coaxing to get her back on the road to recovery. Longest week of my life.
I miss that dog so much.

We don’t really have fast food around here; I would literally have to go to the next town, so I hardly ever eat it myself unless we go to a highway rest stop when we’re traveling. The closest thing is I will get Posie a slice from the grocery store for her birthday and we have a local ice cream store that sells pup cups in the summer.

I haven’t. Our dog was a nervous wreck in the car, so we hardly ever took her for a drive (unless it was the vet).

Not for our dogs (although they do try to beg a few fries or the last bite of something when DH isn’t looking), but when we were buying dinner frequently for a friend and would go to Arby’s we’d get a junior roast beef for her way spoiled rotten toy poodle. That dog has never eaten a bowl of dog food in her life. She always eats the same people food her owner eats, whether it’s homemade or takeout.

My dog gets a cheeseburger plain from McDonald's when she is good at the vet.

Once. Our Golden retriever wasn’t eating and was declining quickly. I knew that if she didn’t eat the hamburger, things were bad. She didn’t eat the burger. The good news is that she lived to 13 1/2, which is pretty good for a Golden.

Back in the day, when McD's regular hamburgers were really cheap, like 3 for a buck, son bought his dog 3 of them to eat before she had to be put down due to some serious illness. It was so sad. boooo hooooo She was fed some table scraps, but not many, unless they were veggies.

We haven't but we don't do much fast food. I do have friends that get plain cheeseburgers for their pups when on road trips.

No. My dog gets terrible gas when she eats people food. Like you have to leave the room it's so bad.

Yes we have bought Maccas for our dog a couple of times - just a plain cheeseburger. A couple of times after taking him to the beach we've stopped off to get him a soft serve ice cream cone from Maccas. And then we found out that ice cream isn't good for dogs. Luckily he didn't seem to have any ill effects from it. That's funny!! Our dog sits up at the table with us while we're eating, but he's already had his boring old dog food, and we don't let him eat at the table. He would be ecstatic to eat whatever human food we're having, but we have onion and garlic in most dishes.

It's kind of funny/sad, but the way to Ferris Acres for us is the same way to our dog sitter's house. So when Posie sees we're going in that general direction she gets so excited...unless we do the turn off for the sitter's house. Then, the look on her face is so dejected, it's almost comical.

That's what I figured! We love Ferris Acres. OMG - great ice cream. Yes, we've gotten him pup cups there, but our regular haunt is Ridgefield Ice Cream on Route 7.

No, we don't normally give our dog people food; we strictly feed her Fromms so I'd be afraid she'd get the runs

Ours loves French fries, vanilla ice cream and Puppuccinos. Always have to be cautious about any item that might contain Xylatol since it's deadly to dogs.

A plain cheeseburger, a single chicken tender from Culvers, and plain custard from Culvers. And French fries. But only every couple of months as a special treat.

Plain burgers for special treats and last meal for dogs, chicken nuggets to hide pills in for cat (take the crusty part off) and our first cat and one of current cats love French Fries, so I dust the salt off and share the rare time I have fries at home.

Once we walked to Sonic and they gave our dog a pup cup. I guess it never occurred to me to buy stuff for her as it seems unhealthy....but I do let my kids eat it. What does that mean?

I had a Doberman years ago that not only loved riding in the car but would bark every time he saw a McDonalds. He occasionally got his plain burger just not as often as he would have liked.

In high school I would take my dog to Dairy Queen. I'd go in to get two ice cream cones and have her get out When I got back to the car. We'd enjoy the ice cream and head home. My dad took her after I left for college. Sometimes I'd get her an ice cream cup and me a tab in a bottle from the convenience store. Jims had this tall, slim bag he'd put them in. If I came through the door with that size bag, she started her happy dance. She was a great dog

I gave my Abbie a plain cheeseburger today. I normally nix the bread, but she gets so excited to see Macdonald’s when she gets one. She knows the yellow wrapper.

Once. My too-good-for-this-world golden retriever survived a cancer surgery that was so extreme the surgeon called me at work, mid-operation, to ask if he should just let her go because it was much worse than we had thought. I begged him to do whatever he could to save her and to thank him she woke from the anesthesia with a tail wag and put her head in his hand for a scratch. Everyday I visited her I would tell her we were going to celebrate her warrior spirit when she was released and when I finally got to bring her home, you can bet that girl got her first plain hamburger from the drive through!

The only time was when we had to put down our dog. We stopped and got her a plain burger. All hers.
Otherwise they would get a bite or a couple of fries. Arby’s maybe a little more (seems more healthy lol )
