I use it on the prongs of brads at the back of a layout
I gut my paper and use it to tape over the edges on the back of a page to hold it a bit more securely
I use it to hold my dies in place
I hardly ever use it on the front of a layout as part of my layout

Loving these ideas, I need to use up my washi stash... I also use it to cover the naked chipboard that I am trying to use up in my stash. I use various greens in different patterns on chipboard trees, colorful combos on chipboard flowers, etc. Creates a fun patterned embellishment and uses up two items from the stash--Win Win!!!

I use it for when my silhouette mat isn’t sticky anymore and I need to cut something on my silhouette machine.
I also use it to tape down threads on the back of my layouts when I see with my sewing machine.

Masking off part of a stamp if you don’t want to stamp or ink the whole sentiment Yeeees! I do this all the time. I don't know why people keep cutting up stamps when you can just mask.

I love this idea! It reminded me that I have a some leftover patterned chip board shapes from some old embellishment packages that I’ve been unable to find a use for. The washi tape will allow me to to use them instead of tossing them. Yeah. I also use washi tape on the edges of my thin metal shims I use for my Gemini cutting machine. Those edges are sharp! The washi doesn’t interfere with the machine and saves my fingers.

I use it on the side of my journaling papers in my planner. The full length. That way i can tell at a glance a week at a time. Most of the time I try to cordinate with a mood or theme for the week. I also use it on the side of my paper to show division in a divided section. For instance, the page I keep track of Netflix shows gets red stripe and the Hulu shows gets the blue stripe washi. Each kid has a different color in the appointment tracker section where I write out the information from a dentist or doctor visit. Feeling very washi/organized goofy right now...lol!

I keep a roll in the kitchen and use it to label containers in the freezer.

Other than the typical scrapbooking use, I use it as tape when I wrap gifts. So much more fun than regular tape! My giftwrap soulmate! Samesies. I always use washi instead of regular tape for gifts. Attentive recipients love to find out which "pretty" tape they got with their new present. It's also holding up my laptop charger right now. Might have stepped on it with a metal high heel. The plastic did not like it one bit. Crack. Washi tape's been doing the trick so far (a year). And obviously, holding up temporary photos + notes on the wall without leaving marks ( I use the original MT tape for this exclusively). MT from Japan is the only washi tape I buy now. Learned my lesson from the many rolls of tape I own that won't unroll anymore.

For scrapbooking I mostly put it on white cardstock and use it in strips of varying length. I also use it on the back of my layouts to cover things that would make it difficult to get them into a page protector.
Besides scrapbooking, I use it on my device chargers so I easily know which chargers are mine. I also use it when I get a water glass so I know which one is mine.

I just recently started using the really thin washi as a border on my layouts between the seams when I layer paper. It adds a nice finished look. It started when I used some really (I mean really*) old Mrs. Grossman thin border strip stickers for this and was lamenting that I didn't have too many more left in my stash. Then it hit me that the really thin washi rolls would work just the same and I actually have lots of colors to choose from. I have some with designs, but really like the plain neutral metallic ones.
*I don't know when I actually purchased the Mrs. Grossman thin border strips, but would think sometime before 2004 (and the back of them are dated 1997, but I know they were sold for many years in the earlier scrapbook store days).
