I seem to have the most energy to create late morning to late afternoon. I would love to be an early morning crafter, to squeeze in a few minutes each day before work, but alas, that is not my make up lol.
What time of day are you most creative? Do you have little routines or rituals you use that signal it's time to create?

Great question!😁
Ideally, I scrap best from around 8 am to 3pm. Traditional kids in school hours. A sweet cup of coffee, watching some comedy, the rest of the house quiet.
But seeing that's also work hours, and that the kids haven't been in a school building since mid March, well...

I’m more creative in the evenings. I wish I could be more productive during the day, especially on weekends when I have some time in the morning and during the day. Today, I’ve been wandering in and out of my craft room doing a little bit here and there. In the evenings is also when my dh and ds want to watch movies or shows with me.

I’m an early morning scrapper. My best days I start at 5am. The issue is often I find other things to do besides scrapbooking since I just got up. But if I sit down I can get a ton done. I can’t do any actual work after about 4pm. In my 9-5 too and it’s a problem 🤣

I am a night owl.
I am most productive in the evening to the wee hours...7:00pm to 1:00am-3:00am(<< how late I stay up depends on what time I have to be up the next day).....but that is in regards to everything (scrapbooking, reading, household chores, projects, etc... ). Though not on a regularly scheduled basis. Some evenings I do very little or just the basics(wash the dishes, I never go to bed with dirty dishes in sink...unless I am really sick). Some evenings, I accomplish a lot.
I tend to scrapbook either all or nothing. Meaning, I will work on it every evening for a couple weeks or a month, then not touch it for a month or two or three.
Sometimes it will take me a week to do one layout, other times I will do several layouts in one evening. That's the ebb and flow of my creativity.

Lately I’ve been most creative in the afternoons. Ideally I would get to crafting much earlier, I’m a morning person and would happily start at 9 or 10am, or even earlier. But there’s always stuff that I need to get done in the mornings - workouts, mail, cleaning stuff up. Getting all the pressing should’ve-done-that-yesterday stuff done first helps me not get distracted once I start. So lately it’s been more like 2-6 instead of my ideal 9-3. I never craft at night. I very much prefer natural light.

Night owl here too! I almost never start before 8:00pm, unless it's a SUPER luxurious day where I can work wicked slowly, because I get so distracted in the daytime!

Late morning/early afternoon for me. Specifically I seem to get the most done between 11-3pm, but in the summer months I can find myself eager to scrap into the evening.

Early bird here. I would love to be able to scrap around 6am until lunchtime. Once and a while I get the mojo in the evening too.

I have a pretty solid morning routine. COVID threw me off my game but I'm working on getting better. I typically do 30 minutes of creative time before I start my day. I even do it on the weekends. If I'm on vacation, sometimes I still do it, but sometimes I don't. With COVID, I've started doing morning walks too before it gets to hot to get some exercise in since I can't go to the gym anymore. I get up around 5:30am and get started with some coffee, a process video or two, then walk, then do my art practice. I work 8:30am-5:30pm, M-F too right now with some occasional later zoom meetings. It feels good to get back to some sort of routine. Now if I can just get back to mediation, I'll be golden.

I seem to have the most energy to create late morning to late afternoon. Same for me. I have gotten a good second wind in the late evening but I don't prefer it.

If it’s the weekend & I’ve got nothing going on, I like to start around 10:30-11 am and try to go until 7-8pm (sometimes later). I’m currently working from home & I’ve set up my home office in my craft room so once I’m done with my work hours I generally am ready to get out of that room!!

I work from home and feel the same way. I finally had to move my craft space out of my home office. I wish I could move the office out instead lol. I would like to be an early bird or night owl, instead of feeling most creative during working hours. I like your idea of a morning routine scrappyem. Early bird would definitely work better than night owl for me.

I'm definitely more of a night owl crafter, 8pm-1am. I do all my best thinking at night!

I'm most productive between 11:00-5:00pm. I prefer natural light so no longer scrap at night now.

First thing in the morning. I wake up with all kinds of ideas, and way more energy than I will have for the rest of the day.

I'm definitely most productive in the morning. By about 3 PM, I'm done...whether it's work or scrapbooking. Please no one tell my boss this as our office is open until 5!
