Thank you for the link... I am sorely tempted but after buying tonnes of scrap supplies yesterday, I need to somehow remain strong and say no... But it's hard, LOL.

I would also verify that this is actual Simple Stories, as Peachy Cheap tends to produce knock-offs, under the guise of actual brand name scrapbooking supplies.

Thanks, kendramage, I didn't know that! I've only purchased from them once, and it seemed pretty legit. How will I be able to verify if the Simple Stories kit is a knock off?

How will I be able to verify if the Simple Stories kit is a knock off? No problem-I was SHOCKED when I found out they did this. Please know I purchased paper and die cuts that was marked with the company name-this is a company that had gone out of business so I expected PC just bought out some of their stock. I did not expect that they bought licensing rights and made their own. When I reached out to them about the product I ordered seeming flimsy and not of the quality I expected, they explained that sometimes they purchase the printing rights to different lines and then the have the ability to reprint those items. I expressed my disappointment as I thought I was purchasing the *actual* items and instead got reprints of a lower quality-I did ask how this could be avoided in the future, and they said to email and ask before buying. I felt this was quite the burden to put on the consumer and had to stop purchasing paper and die cuts from Peachy Cheap. In this case, I think Simple Stories is alive and well, so it may be on the up and up.

The company told me they acquired the licence for some of OA's later lines and had done a limited reproduction run, so while the quality wasn't top notch by any standard, they also aren't knock offs in the illegal sense. I do wish they had been more upfront about that to begin with. Every other branded product I have bought from them (and I've bought more than my fair share over the years) has been legitimate product manufactured by the brand on the product label.
