I just had to send an Etsy message this very morning for that very thing. My order was placed on a May 27. It’s coming from Latvia. In our first convo, she said it was due to all the “riots” in the US. Here’s the tracking she sent me today: Tracking History July 20, 2020, 4:41 pm Arrived at USPS Regional Facility PONTIAC MI DISTRIBUTION CENTER Your item arrived at our USPS facility in PONTIAC MI DISTRIBUTION CENTER on July 20, 2020 at 4:41 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. June 15, 2020, 12:42 am Processed Through Facility ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) Origin Post is Preparing Shipment June 10, 2020, 6:52 pm Processed Through Facility RIGA OFFICE OF EXCHANGE (PARCELS), LATVIA June 1, 2020, 8:50 am Acceptance LATVIA Why did it take a month and 5 days to get from Chicago to Michigan? Riots? I mean, I kind of believe she sent it. She has all 5 star reviews. I’ll wait until next week—which will be 2 months, and then file a dispute. (For the record, I have received pkgs from Portugal, the UK, and China since I placed this order.) You should contact the post office first. (or the Etsy seller should) this isntheir fault AT all. Why would you expect less than 5 stars? The Etsy seller can't control the postal system.

If it were me, I would confirm that it is etsy's policy that the seller must provide tracking. If the seller is required to provide tracking and the seller can't provide tracking, I would report him immediately. Why allow him to continue in business and possibly rip off more people? It's quite possible that the seller did mail the items and that it is taking longer for the item to arrive due to covid, but the seller was the one who didn't follow the rules, so he should bear the consequences of his actions. You can always w/draw your complaint if/when the item arrives. He should have done things the right way in the beginning. International orders only have to prove that the item was shipped, for Etsy to side in their favor on a missing International delivery. Ie, a purchase of the postage receipt. However, it isn't unheard of for Etsy to help out in the cases without involving the seller since it isn't either the seller's or the buyers fault. Please avoid opening a case on the seller for a shipping issue if you know the item was shipped.
