Is anyone else still playing? Doing Go Fest this weekend? I'm going to miss our trip to Chicago and being able to commune with all the other nerds but at least it's still some kind of Go Fest. Anyone doing remote raids? Invites to raids? I think Niantic has done a pretty good job of making sure people staying at home are still able to get the main features of the game.
In other news i have so many lucky friends right now and we aren't really getting together these days or even going to town much so I hope they raise the special trade limit this weekend. Long distance trades would be really nice right now.

You can invite anyone on your friend list, so this is huge for people who can't get legendaries because they don't have enough people to raid with.

My family is still playing. DH was a level 40 and got a new phone so last week he made a new account and started over.
We aren't getting tickets because x4 would be $$ we could spend on something else.
I may shout out to get new friends sometime!

my daughter plays and really really misses going out and connecting with others.. it is her only social outlet... (kid with autism).. it also has been vital to get her out walking.. only exercise.
so I hope she keeps it up.

I’ve been enjoying playing at home, just hit level 39. The next 5 million will take forever. Raids have always been very clicky in my city it’s always been hard to get included in legendary raids. I have very few.
I cannot beat Giovanni’s balloon, makes me sad
I’ve done a few remote raids just locally. Don’t understand the invite friends part.
Didn’t buy go fest ticket as I don’t really understand the benefits of it

Im still playing, found a park that has been redone with tons of poke stops and gyms. Only had a few before. I cant remember who i have as friends from here. My user name is Skullzawott. I don't care much about battling grunts or team leaders or even giovanni but I guess if I want the rumored shadow mewtoo I'll have to. I did battle Jesse and James when there were Meowth balloons but only to try to get shinies. I got a shiny shadow ekans and my son (who has lost interest in the game so I'm playing for him) got a shiny shadow koffing. As for Go Fest benefits, there will be a lot of spawns that are only for ticket holders, including several unown letters plus a regional. At least that's what happened at past Go Fests. There's also the mythical research but Go Fest ticket holders only get to do that one early. Everyone eventually gets it. The shadow mewtoo might be a Go Fest exclusive. Shiny rates will probably be boosted for ticket holders. Inviting friends can be done if you're physically at the raid location. When you go in, where there's the list of people in the raid, there's a + button on the right. Tap that and you can choose people from your friend list to invite. Any location, any friendship level. There's no cost to you and your friend just has to use a remote raid pass to do the raid. With only seconds between entering a lobby and the raid starting, you need to make sure your friend is ready with a raid pass and ready to accept the invite because it takes a few seconds. I have gotten in late and wasn't able to raid, but raid passes are returned if you don't start the battle (new feature). You can invite up to 5 friends per raid. I'm not sure if there's a daily limit. I think there might be. I've done several Kyurem raids from home. |

My husband and I still play but it's more out of habit/getting out to walk together than anything else. We have our tickets for GoFest. I really don't care about raiding but if he wants to do it, I will.

remote raids, someone needs to invite you to the raid
or if you have a gym near by and there is a raid, you can invite people or do it from home you dont have to be at the gym to do the raid.
We will be playing this weekend for go fest. I am missing the visit to Chicago and all the fun time we have in Chicago, but I am good with playing on our Pier here at home with a bunch of friends. We all have our masks ready and our game plan. Looks to be exciting.
RUMOR #1 I saw was opening and sending 200 gifts on Saturday
I removed some old players that have quit playing so I will add those above that I am not currently friends with

You can't do remote raids with free passes but remote passes, if bought in the 3-pack, are cheaper than premium raid passes. I bet Niantic is making a killing on remote passes. I was invited to a discord channel where people from all over the world invite each other to raids. My friend has done raids from all over and when (IF!!) you catch the pokemon it will show that it was caught in the location where the raid was done. Good for completing the pilot badge if you haven't already. DS and I were able to because of all of my long distance pea friends. ❤

I don't think anyone knows for sure what is going to be spawning and what other benefits there are to being a ticket holder. If you go to the Leekduck instagram or his website I think it shows some of the "in the wild" spawns for that day, based on challenges leading up to go fest. So far I think it's togetic, dratini and litwick. Each hour there's a theme so pokemon related to that theme will be spawning more often. These are rumored to be released but not sure if it's only for ticket holders: Elgyem (new), Deino (shiny), Staryu (shiny). Also, based on past go fests, unown plus a regional that hasn't been revealed yet-those are definitely for ticket holders only. There will likely be tasks with possibly rare or hard to get rewards for ticket holders.
