I am having issues mustering up sympathy. I feel bad for his family and anyone else who contracted it due to his stupidity, but him? NONE!

Wow. I think it’s sad, for him and his family, that he put dangerous dogma ahead of his own health and safety. I don’t personally think he was a very decent guy, but he must have family and friends who will miss him very much.

Anyone's death is sad even if I don't know who he is. I'll google.

from the CNN article:
"Cain was considered at an increased risk for coronavirus due to his age and history with cancer, according to US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance. In 2006, Cain was given a 30% chance of survival from stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to his liver. He underwent chemotherapy and surgery to remove the cancer from his liver and was declared cancer free in 2007."
It's sad, but I can't muster up much sympathy for him since he was at greater risk for complications, but he believed the Republican BS enough to endanger his own health, and the health of his family / friends, by not doing the simplest things he could to protect his own health.

I had read a few days ago that he had the virus and was hospitalized and doing poorly. I think it even said he was on a respirator. Not really surprised he died.

Thoughts of sympathy to his friends and family.
As for him, he was compromised. He went to a rally unmasked. Viruses gonna virus.

I truly don’t understand beating a cancer like that, and being so reckless with your health over something that would negate winning that battle. :/

....... after being hospitalized with Covid-19. He did attend the Tulsa rally. They've said they have no idea where he contracted the virus. He had also traveled to Arizona. Sounds like he was reckless in multiple locations.

Sad for a family to lose a loved one. I hope other families whose members he infected don’t have to lose someone dear to them.

....... after being hospitalized with Covid-19. He did attend the Tulsa rally. Trump virus causality. That was my first thought and then I realized that no one made Cain go to that rally. It was widely known that there would not be social distancing. They even made people sign waivers. Assuming he got the virus at the rally and that is a good assumption, he took a risk and it cost him his life.

No sympathy whatsoever. Not for a man with health issues who ironically tweeted this bit of dumb-assery before a 45 rally:
“Masks will not be mandatory for the event, which will be attended by President Trump. PEOPLE ARE FED UP!”
Actions have consequences and this man's stupidity caught up with him, big time. I only feel badly for the innocent people he may have infected and for the health care workers risking their lives to care for dumb asses like him.
